Model Reviewed: Bridgestone j33R 460 9.5* YS6/X flex

In one word - FANTASTIC! Picked one up cheap off a friend, and pretty much straight away reshafted from the stock stiff NV to a YS6 in an X flex (110mph swing) and hey presto - a completely different driver! (BTW not a fan of the NV shaft if you hadn't noticed - plays much too soft - maybe the x flex would be ok for anyone who swings above 105mph)

Picked up about 10 yards on my 905S which has been in the bag for quite some time, and found a more piercing and straighter ball flight with the bridgestone. Doesn't look like a 460 head at address and probably not as forgiving at others, but forgiving enough for the better golfer and longer than any other driver I have hit. Not easy to work but then no driver these days is - who cares anyway when it flies straight as a frozen rope! Probably launches half a degree lower than a "standard" 9.5*, which is why i went with the ys6 shaft to maintain some equilibrium.

Lesser known but high quality product at a bargain price on ebay - highly recommended with your favourite shaft.

This driver is VERY long. I picked it up on Ebay, brand new for $76. It has an Adila NV-65R shaft. I took it to the driving range last night and was very impressed. So, I was anxious to take it out on the course this afternoon. The course I normally play doesn't have water on the fairways, so needless to say the fairways are very hard. On the 8th tee, I had a 10mph breeze at my back and caught the ball dead center. The hole is a 440yd. par 4. I was shocked when I found my ball only 50 yards from the green! I also hit it well on many other holes, but I wasn't always in the fairway. So after playing nine holes with this club, I'd say it is a great club and well worth considering if you are looking for a driver that looks great at setup, hits the ball a mile, and feels like a million dollars when you hit it square. The sound is very similar to my Titleist 983E. I do think my TaylorMade R5 is more forgiving, but it is definitely not as long.

I have been shopping for a driver for the past couple of years. I am not one to buy anything based on hype, so I had no trouble trying out something other than an R7 or G5. I hit a bag on the range and than played a round with it. Solid feel, even on slight misses. I like the clubs profile. It doesn't look like a gigantic oddity. I also am partial to my hearing so I like the less deafening sound it makes at impact. I am pleased with its performance and quality so far.

I was at a tournament at a fancy country club and noticed one of my team mates had rented some Bridgestone clubs for the day. I had been struggling with my driver so I asked to borrow the J33r 460 (never heard of it ) driver on the second hole. I used it the rest of the day and found more fairways than I could ever remember. The girl on the team (a complete novice) used it also and won the long drive hole! We couldn't believe it! I bought one the next week. WHAT A CLUB!

If you are looking for a low spin head with a mid launch this the BEST club head on the market, period. If you can get your hands on a Protopype shafts and really spin the ball a lot (4000+ rpm) on driver than this combo is a LOW spin as you can get! 120+ swing speed need apply for this combo

Wow. That's all i can say. I also hit this club basically to try out the new Aldila proto by you shaft, and was amazed at how consistent and penetrating my ball flight was. The design of this club is beautiful and just feels right at address. I hit the new Pings (Rapture, G5) Cleveland Hi-Bore, Nike's, etc, and this one was by far the best. Bridgestone is not a known quantity but the products they're producing are bound to put them on the map in the near future. Based on the this club, I also tried their new GC hybrid. Picked one of those up as well. I was sold after the first swing. Pure butter and ball just flies off the face.

Model Reviewed: J 33 R 460 w/ proto shaft

I bought this club because I mainly wanted to try the shaft and it's pretty much the cheapest club you can find with the aldila proto by you shaft. Iwasn't sure if I'd like the club but after hitting this thing it is absolutely a keeper. This is by far this straightest driver I've ever hit and I've hit them all. Distance wise it's as good as the best and better than the rest. I'd started having problems hooking my previous driver which was a Yonex cyberstar nanospeed but the j33 has fixed that problem.

Model Reviewed: J33r 420

I have been hitting the j33r 9.5 420 with a speeder x 757 for some time now (probably about 1 year) and I consider it to be the best driver out. Even with this new wave of technology coming in, such as the Ft-5/i, SUMO2, D1/D2, etc. I hit the ball further and straighter with this amazing club! Sets up square at address, ball speed is GREAT even on off center hits, and the most impressive of all is how low the spin rate is. Lowest of any diver out, I guarantee it. The only driver I have tried with higher ball speed is the new Cobra x speed pro. I am considering buying the J33r 460 at 8.5 degrees simply because I could use a little lower ball flight and more forgiveness on my bad swings that tend to happen here and there. LOL!
