I have been hitting the j33r 9.5 420 with a speeder x 757 for some time now (probably about 1 year) and I consider it to be the best driver out. Even with this new wave of technology coming in, such as the Ft-5/i, SUMO2, D1/D2, etc. I hit the ball further and straighter with this amazing club! Sets up square at address, ball speed is GREAT even on off center hits, and the most impressive of all is how low the spin rate is. Lowest of any diver out, I guarantee it. The only driver I have tried with higher ball speed is the new Cobra x speed pro. I am considering buying the J33r 460 at 8.5 degrees simply because I could use a little lower ball flight and more forgiveness on my bad swings that tend to happen here and there. LOL!

Went to the lower hudson valley annual golf show today and tested this thing out. The sound and feel is amazing... although i didn't get a chance to see ball flight, this club is definetly a good club. The head, at address is not as big as the other 460cc drivers, but when you hit it in the middle you feel that it's a good hit.

I play of an 8 handicap and my average score is low 80's.
I have the 9.5* with the Aldila 65-S shaft.
I have to say that I am very pleased with this driver. It has a classical head shape that looks more like a 420cc head than it's actual 460cc. Sets up beautifully at address and has a very sweet feeling at impact. The ball flight is mid trajectory and I get so much more run that usual as there is no balooning - my swing speed is 95mph and I just wonder what a big hitter would do with it as it just feels like it has so much potential power I cannot tap into...Having said that I have hit some of my longest drives on a couple of holes of my home course and have only used it for 3 rounds.
In terms of combined distance and accuracy (what esle is there to consider?) this is the best driver I have played to date and can recommend it to any prospective buyers.

I have to say I was SURPRISED by this driver. I've always known that Bridgestone (and Precept since they're the same company) have always made little-known, but high-quality equipment. However, I didn't expect the J33 to perform this well.

I won't bore you with promises of 15-40 yards gained...that's all relative to the day, wind conditions, etc. However, the feel of this driver/shaft combination is fantastic. Off-center hits still stay straight, and it's correctional properties hold true. Where it REALLY shines is on flushed hits though. Ball flight is mid-high, but not too high. Today's condition was windy, but it didn't balloon once. Excellent feel, trajectory, and is very forgiving. Give it a try, it's definitely worth it.

Interesting, i also just bought this club on ebay for $90 in like new condition, with the graffaloy prolaunch shaft/stiff. i hadn't tried it yet and figured i could just take it out on the course and get used to it that way. bad idea. my 1st drive was pretty good, 2nd was a viscous pull hook, usually i get a club and hit it really well but this was not the case.. my ex-girlfriend was more forgiving than this driver. that said it took some getting used to and near the end of the round i realized you cant simply square the face and let it rip with this club, i weakened my grip and hit some bombs. its shape and look at address gave me confidence, the sound and feel are what im looking for interms that i can tell when i've miss hit one or striped it. distance wise its hard to tell because it was so cold and wet outside, i'll take it to the range and see if its worth keeping in my bag.

My first club review, so be gentle! I felt compelled to write a review on this driver. It's shafted with a stiff Speeder 757. This combo is working great for me. I think a 460cc head is too big for me to consistently square. I had a 905T and felt I needed a slightly bigger sweet spot, hence the 420. Very nice driver. Extremely long on center hits and surprisingly forgiving on toe hits. Looks great, too, kind of like a Titleist, but this club is black. The Speeder 757 is an absolute perfect shaft. My clubhead is 9.5 degrees and with this shaft, my ball flight is low and boring with an 80 per cent swing and a little higher when I go after it. I'm extremely pleased with this driver. I think a driver is like a wife. If you're not completely satisfied with the one you have, keep looking till you find the right one. Got this club on E-Bay in like new condition for $149.00. What a club!

An excellent driver with great distance. I've been using the Cleveland HiBore 10.5 with a Pro-launch stiff shaft and found this to be about 15-20 yards longer and with a better trajectory off the tee. The price if very good compared to others drivers out there.

Visited my pro shop with the intent of purchasing a TM hybrid, and for the heck of it demo'd a Bridgestone J33 hybrid. It was love at first swing. I never considered Bridgestone before, probably due to lack of marketing in the U.S.. I was so impressed I also demo'd a J33R driver, and I walked out with both. Simply put this is the BEST driver that I've ever hit (and see my list of other drivers i've used). I love the square setup at address and it's understated looks. I can work the ball both ways and love it's solid feel at impact; and oh by the way, it's LONG. Did I mention that it's LONG! Try it and you'll buy it!

This clubhead is very hot. I'm not a fan of the Aldila NV series shafts which is what I hit this club with but the clubhead was very nice. Long boring drives when struck perefectly. The Aldila shaft balloons too much for my liking but the club was very nice. I like the smaller clubhead for working the ball, much easier to work the ball than all the new 460cc big heads out there.

One word awesome! I have been playing golf for 20 yrs. I was inconsistent with my Titlelist 983 and was searching for a new driver to help keep me out of trouble , I have to look no further. I bought this driver about a month ago and have already shaved 3-4 shots a round . It has a better ball flight than my titlelist and with the speeder shaft,9.5 loft, the spin rate is better with my 120mph swing . I would recommend this club to all low handicaps it feels great and you cant beat 20-30 yds more pure shot. I was never a fan of big club heads but, this one is different. I would recommend hitting it first before spending nearly $400 on this gem but you cant go wrong giving it a try. I also recomend the fujikara shaft it will make the driving that much better . Thanks to the tour pro that reps bridgestone that turned me on to this one ,FC
