I was scared at first after reading all the reviews here on the VFT, but I had really good results with the ERC 2 so I decided to try the VFT. I have to say that the feeling was the same but the ERC was better because it was more solid and distances were farther. The VFT might be about 20 yards closer than the ERC but don't forget, its a conforming driver. I think you hookers out there don't like this because the toed in face. This helps slicers and not drawers. The ERC and VFT straightened out my fades and slices. Yes, you have to hit it on the spot to get it going, because it says, VFT, which means that the sweet spot is thicker than the rim. I personally like this club more than the TISI, TM 360, and the 975D which have all had good reviews. At the end of the day, it all depends on your swing. The TISI and TM 320,360 look wide, big, and ugly and that already gives me a bad feeling before I swing. The 975D looks good (prettiest), but had too many unpredictable mood swings because she was harder to handle. You really have to try before you buy, but even then the first few hot dates could be misleading! Customer Service Callaway are very good when it comes to customer service. Tried the club demo VFT yesterday. I am an 8 handicap and I average 225 off the tee with maybe a 240 in there every now and then. This club was no longer than my GBB with a Prolite regular shaft. My GBB is 8 degrees and I have a tendency to hit a high draw (occasionally turns into Captain hook). This club had a lower trajectory; I did not hook the ball, instead tended to pull it. It seemed like a pretty forgiving driver, but not worth the $395 to replace my GBB. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made 320, Ping, Wilson Deep Red |

I purchased a VFT this weekend and am so glad that I did not read a review before doing so. I generally hit a draw / hook and would not of even considered it had I read anything about it. Well I am happy to say that this is the BEST DRIVER I have ever hit. You must be conscience of the hook face and keep a good tempo, but I am able to hit a fade or a draw. It is by far the longest club I have hit to date, and I love the shaft (tour stiff). So, don't be scared by these bad reviews, unless you want to write off the best driver on the market Similar Products Used: Ping ISI, Taylor Made 300 series, Titelist 975D. |

I really don't know why people doesn't like this driver??? I found that this driver give me "Motivation"... Very easy to hit and go very far.. And also, I tried my friend 's Talyor 320... I found the outlook is really bad, but easy to hit. And also the ball can't go far... Similar Products Used: Talyor 320 |

I hit this driver as well as any driver I have ever hit. This driver has a great feel and I have a tendency to hit it from right to left. The length is at least 15 yards longer than any driver I have hit. I would recommend this driver to any one, has great feel and control if you want to go long go with the VFT. This is a great driver. I don't understand why anybody would have a problem with it. Must be ERC backlash. I hit it long and straight. When I say long, I am pumping them out there about 270 on average. I had the Taylor 360 and it would go almost as deep but it went left too much. Tried the 320 but it wasn't as long as the VFT, felt pretty good though, I would definitely choose that second to the VFT. I think it's up to the user and the results they get. Some clubs fit people and some don't. VFT is high quality. Worth every dollar. Customer Service Top notch. A big company that knows how to treat their customers right. callaway VFT driver
I traded my Firesole driver for the VFT with another golfer. Plus paid $150.00. Liked the sound of the Firesole, but loved the way the VFT worked for me. Sometimes it's on, and sometimes not. But I can hit the fairway more often than the firesole. Go figure! Distance is about the same if it's a straight shot. I just happen to hit the VFT straight more often than the Firesole. If it wasn't for Callaway's excellent service, plus the fact that I have all Callaway in the bag,....would I do it again....maybe not but then again...maybe yes. It does hit far and straight, but you have to get use to the club. Customer Service Just call customer service anywhere else. Maybe you might get a human response. Probably not!... Call Callaway and you get a human being and you get quick resolution of your question. Best customer service in the world. Go ahead, call TM or Titleist and hang on the phone with a robot for a very long time. Similar Products Used: Firesole....nice club. Ping....too damn big, Titlist....ya if your very good. |
