Cleveland Hibore XL Tour Drivers

Cleveland Hibore XL Tour Drivers

DESCRIPTION

This driver takes Distance Driven Geometry to a whole new level, creating Full-Face Performance (FFP) for the ultimate in driving effectiveness. By creating a face-centered sweetspot for greater distance from anywhere on the clubface as well as a high Moment of Inertia (MOI) for stability on off-center hits, Cleveland designers have combined power, precision and forgiveness. With the Fujikura Fit-On shaft fitting system as well, your HiBORE XL will be customized to your swing for maximum performance.

I am a club junkie. I have tried most everything. The Hibore XL is in the bag. I had a little trouble settling on the shaft, I ended up with the gold S flex, after trying the gold R, and the Red R. I also tried the Tour XL, but for some reason, didn't like it as well... I do hit my 10.5* a little high, so a red S flex 10.5* or a 9.5* in the gold S flex would probably be a little better suited, but.. this is a really nice driver. It reminds me of the Cleveland Comp a little, nice "Crack" at impact, not as sweet, but lots straighter! And really long, MUCH longer than the original Hibore. I recently switched from the Burner with a VS Proto, nice stick too, but the XL for me is longer. And they are getting very reasonable on Ebay.

I have a problem, I love to buy drivers of ebay just to try them. I have struggled with them all however the hibore has always been consistent and hits a longer then mx 500 BB460 Quadratic etc . The sound is a loud ketank but who cares when it sales down the middle. It does what it claims check the web site and have a crack at one, you will love it.

I golf maybe 3 times a year. Got this club in the morning mail. Went golfing that afternoon. Went to a driving range before I started. Hit one ball and everyone at the range stopped and looked. Well I went out and played , sliced alot with it but on the last hole 320 yrds I drove just past the cart line near the green. Me hit just under 300 yrds? Need a lot of practice with this one. ..ALOT. the sound is like no other....

I am really surprised the low number of reviews for this driver. Based on the advice of my golf professional at PGA Tour Superstore, I bout a 9.5 degree with the Red Fuji shaft. I've only had it on the driving range once so far, but I can honestly say that this is the longest driver I've ever hit in 10+ years of golfing. I was easily flying the range balls to the 250 marker. As far as the noise, it is subtle compared to the other big-headed models out today. The shaft really helps my ball flight, it keeps it from ballooning too much. When I really went after it, I thoght that I would push it right (3 degree open clubface), but the darn thing kept the ball straight. I was able to draw the ball successfully, also. Overall, this will be in my bag for a long, long time. The best part is that I got the club on Ebay for $177!

Wow. I just hit this at Golf Galaxy, and I'm shocked. I have never hit a driver that felt as poweful as this one does.

And the sound...great. I can't believe people are saying that the sound takes getting used to, or that the sound is a weak point. Maybe you guys can't hit the ball in the center of the clubface?

In any event. I might have to buy one.

Alright, listen up chumps. I have not swung a club is almost two years because of a wrist injury. I'm healthy now and looking for new set from my Zevo 1W-SW. I went to my local Pro-shop to get sized and see what works best for me.
After Trying just about every Driver in the shop, the Hybore XL worked best for me. I used to swing a 9.5 degree Zevo driver and still had a fairly High launch angle. The Hybore XL, at 10.5 degrees, actually gave me lower launch angle of about 15.4 degrees. My ball speed with a Taylor Made was 141mph, but I had higher spin and launch angle than the XL. With the Hybore XL, my ball speed was 139.5 mph, and had next to zero spin. It also felt better at address and gave me confidence I was going to hit a good shot before I even started my swing. Tempo is key here though. If I tried to give a little extra muscle, my tendency to hit fat and left would happen occasionally. But when I connected, POW!! I'd say about 280-290 yard average. One shot hit the back fence in the air at 260 yards. Unique sound off the club head with a good hit just gave me a chill up the spine. Whoa....

I have been in the market for a new driver for some time. I tried almost eveything out there and when I found the Hi-Bore I was sold.
This club should be called the Hi-BOMB!! I went right to the course and after the first 3 drives I was hitting 290+ yard drives! I added more power and speed to my swing and to my surprise, the spray pattern was maybe 20 yards off center. Not bad considering with my old Taylor Made that I would lose a ball every time!!
I got the Gold shaft, 10.5 Reg Flex. The sound is so unique that people were asking what I was hitting. My partner even said it looked sleek and mean! And it plays that way!

I hit every premium driver available at a couple different demo days at outside ranges. This club is incredibly solid, accurate and long. The sound may turn you off at first, but it sure is fun blowing it 20 yards past your fellow coconut crushers. The stock red Fit-On stiff shaft actually turned out to be the best of several options. I went with the XL Tour because the regular models tend to be very long, hooking machines. I will be shooting in the 70's consistently in the near future. I highly recommend this club.

I got this club from eBay for $208. Took it to the course for one round and already loved it by the long, straight and forgiving shots it provides. I used Cleveland Launcher 400 before and now this HiBore XL just hits 20 yards more regularly. The best part of this club is, because of the forgiveness it gives, I am able to add power to my swing that I dare not in my Launcher. I was hitting Launcher between 230-250. Now I am hitting 250 - 280. This number might not impress you, but I hit driver better than my fairway woods and irons. It's absolutely the best feeling I can look for on a driver. And I am hitting into 80s with it, after a couple of years of struggling in the 90s.
