Cleveland HiBORE Drivers

Cleveland HiBORE Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Through the history of persimmon woods, drivers have always been round. As time progressed and technology advanced, they've grown bigger and are now made of a variety of metals, but for the most part, they've maintained the round shape. Up until now, form has dictated function... The HiBORE™ Driver has changed all that. For the first time, function is dictating form. HiBORE is truly the new shape of distance. The HiBORE is the ultimate high-launch / low-spin driver. Because of its unique crown geometry, the location of the Center of Gravity (CG)* is lower and deeper than ever before. Consequently, it produces drives that go farther and straighter from a larger portion of the clubface than any other driver in existence.

Very nice club. Hit the R7, Ping G5, Rapture, Cobra, Burner and the HiBore XL and walked away with the HiBore XL. Off the lauch Monitor my Club head speed was faster, ball spin was on the money, and was the straightest. Was the second furthest hit next to the Ping G5 but only by 5 yards. Was averaging 275 out of 10 swings. Average of 5 yards left which for me is very good. On the course it was very close to the same. Hit 15 out of 18 fairways and was crushing them. Driving has always been the weak part of my game but not anymore. Go somewhere that has a launch montior and try for yourself. I am sure you'll get one to.

The reviews by Freddyc and mdw359 are right on. This driver is looooong! I went into my local Edwin Watts store thinking I was going to purchase the Callaway FT5 since I love my FT3. Well they had me hit the nike SQ sumo, SQ sumo2, FTi, FT5, Big Bertha 460, Ping G5 Taylormade r7 Superquad. Much to my surprise, the Hibore XL Tour 10 degree stiff shaft was 10 to 12 yards longer then the rest. I was hitting on their new launch monitor. I took it out to the course and when I put a decent swing on it, it was awesome. For those who slice, please note that the HiBore XL is one and one half degrees closed, so that will help negate the slice. The XL Tour is neutral. By the way, ALL the employees at Edwin Watts have hit every driver and they all agree that the HiBore is the longest out there. Also, the price is reasonable compared to Callaway and Taylormade.

My god! With my screwed up driver swing I feel like a pro! I cannot believe this driver, you almost can't miss hit it. I have never hit anything so easy to send straight down the range. I can't wait to play on the course. I hit a bucket of balls on the range today and I sold about 10 of these drivers, people could not belive how they hit it. It was like a down home hit fest.... believe it!

I just left the range with my new HiBore XL, and all I have to say is, 'goodness gracious, its alive.' This thing is long, (with range balls and my temp here is 39 degrees), and straight. I cant wait for temps to warm up to get my true action when ball and club meet. I played Nike Sq. with stiff Aldila NVS shaft before this. Good combo, but I was ready for a change from the head size of the SQ. This HiBore has the stock stiff Fujikura shaft. Works good for me because of the soft tip (low kick point). I noticed the difference in the original HiBore and the XL is that, the XL is much louder on impact. So warn your playing partners of the sound of a golf cannon they are about to hear. I must say, like always, the shaft and club combo may not match your swing. There are a couple different shafts that come with the club. Experiment. One other note, don't let the golf shop talk you into a club that you dont want. They tried and tried to convince me to buy the TM R7 425, but no. All in all, after one range session, very impressed with this club. I will post another review after a round or two to see if the HiBore and I are still friends. Good club for all handicaps. Enjoy

I bought this club about 1 month ago. this club is very hard to miss hit. what most people don't know about the Hibore is that is has a lower center of gravity or sweet spot. most drivers sweet spot is at the top of the club face. this sweet spot is in the middle of the club face. therefore you do not have to tee the ball up as high as you do with the cleveland comp, launcher, r7..... etc. this driver gives a great trajectory and good results.

I took my old Cobra driver to my local pro shop and asked to be fitted for a HiBore Driver after reading many reviews on the net, and the latest Golf Digest issue. I have to say that I thought I hit my old club well until I hit the HiBore. With my old club I always pushed to the right durnig last 50 yards of flight. The HiBore flew dead straight and probably at least 20yds farther. Although the lofts are identical 9.5 the HiBore flight was much higher. My swing speed with my old club averaged about 106mph with the new club it was about 110-113mph.

believe the hype! been a fan of cleveland since their quad pro days and just changed out my launcher comp with a new hi-bore. instantly added 15-20 yards. no BS. believe it when i say this driver gives you an immediate advantage. took a range session to find the sweet spot (lower on the face than my previous launcher comp and other big face drivers whose sweet spots are in the upper top of the face). wasn't a fan at first cause of the looks of it, but once you see the results, you'll fall in love.
bought the 9.5 degree with aldila stiff flex shaft.

Big time improvement - shots are a lot more straight and 10 - 15 yards monger. My golfing partners also have noticed the improved consistancy off the tee.

I have a 10.5 degree loft with a regular, lowkick point Fuji shaft.
