Folks, if you have not tried this driver, I would highly recommend it. I recently switched from the R5 to this driver. It is hotter, you hit it higher, and it has a much better feel at impact. The club feels light compared to many of the other drivers on the market. I bought it with the stock gold Fujikura shaft which seems to be a very good shaft, not too stiff, not too whippy. I have tried the 905 T (less forgiving) and the R5 has a flat feel with little pop to it. At $195, this is the best driver on the market by far. Cleveland doesn't have the flair and following of a Titleist, Callaway, or Taylor Made and this may be why the driver is cheaper, but don't be fooled. I am a 5 handicap and have played a lot of clubs, this one will take your long game to the next level.

Most forgiving driver I have ever used. The feel of the club when striking the ball is like none other. Total distance of drives increased between 25 - 50 yards.

All I can say is... "where have you been?". I just picked up a Launcher 460 9.5 deg with a Grafalloy ProLaunch 65 shaft in stiff. I purchased it at Edwin Watts for $199 Aug 1st. I have tried about every driver on the market including: Taylor Made 580XD, R5, R7, Titleist 983 E and K, Mizuno MP-001, Ping G2, Adams Redlines, Callaway Big Bertha 454 and '04 Big Bertha, and several custom drivers including Snake Eyes 650T with a V2 shaft, Snake Eyes Compressor with Grafalloy Prolite 3.5, and finally the Snake Eyes Compressor 450 with a Harrison SL50 2.5. The Harrison SL50 2.5 shaft is awesome. But the Snake Eyes Compressor 450 sounds like a tin can. The Snake Eyes drivers out performed all of the Brandname clubs until now. This 460 Launcher looks the best at address. Sounds the best. Feels the best. And has the best distance. The upgraded ProLaunch shaft may have alot to do with it. This shaft feels perfect for me. I'm getting a great launch angle of about 14 degrees. The head really feels "Hot". I am impressed! I wish I had tried this club much, much earlier. The ball seems to carry endlessly. Get one while you can at $199. You cannot go wrong!

This is my second season with this club. I don't try new drivers any more. Long and straight best describe the Launcher 460. Something dramatic (not weights) will have to happen technology wise for me to consider any other driver. I'll probably have this for many years. I have the stock gold stiff shaft in both my driver and titanium 3 wood. This is a very good shaft regardless of what some say. Swing with just a little tempo and you will be amazed at how long it goes for so little effort...and dead straight.

Many others, none even close. I knew in the store into a net that this was the club for me, and the stock gold stiff shaft was the shaft.

I just picked up the Launcher 460 (10.5) and have some comments. Like others have said, the head is so large that the shaft initially feels shorter than standard. For me, that's a good thing. The Aldila NV-65 shaft (stiff) borders on X-stiff. Frankly, I'm on the fence as to whether I should try another shaft or not, as I don't get that "snap" I was getting with my other driver. Then again, I hit this thing straight damn near every single shot. I'm a natural left handed person (throw left) who plays golf right handed. I normally have no trouble hooking the ball, but I haven’t once hooked this club. For my game, that’s a God-send. Hitting the fairways with my driver has always been my Achilles, so perhaps the stiffer (feeling) shaft is helping me out in that regard? The club is very long. What’s scary is that I don’t feel like I’m hitting it all that well sometimes, and even though it has a high launch angle it still takes a BIG forward kick when it lands. Best of all, as I mentioned above, the club is straight. Some will criticize the big head, but it’s a major confidence booster when you need to put the drive in the fairway. Remember, this head is big now, but it will be standard in a couple of years. Hell, if Tiger Woods is using a monster head, why shouldn’t I? Workability is limited with this club. I’m not too concerned about working the ball with my driver, and when I need to I switch to my 3w or utility club. The Launcher head begs you to aim straight down the middle of the fairway and pull the trigger. Overall the Launcher is an exceptional value, as are most every Cleveland golf club. The Aldila shaft alone is worth $80, so when you consider you can pick this driver up for only $199, it’s a great buy.

I've always great luck with my Cleveland clubs.

I have been playing a Taylor Made 510 with a Pro Force 65 R shart for about 2 years. I noticed that many of my friends started hitting up to and even past me with their new 460 drivers. I finally hit one from a friend's bag and... WOW! I finally purchased a 460 Launcher with a Adlia Pro Lite shaft. It was a demo for only $180.00! The driver can now be purchased all over the net for about $199.00 and you can even get shaft upgrades. I am hitting this club 20 yards past my Taylor Made! What is even better is the great results with missed shots. This club is major straight and you do not lose much distance either. My occational slice is now a soft fade. My biggest swing fault is a hook. I have only hooked this drive once (but it was ugly). More often these also turn into a soft draw. I even like the feel better than my Taylor Made. This club is easy to hit, long, and very forgiving. The Launcher will be in may bag for a long time. I just received new Launcher 3 and 5 woods. If these are half as hot as the driver, I will be shaving about 3 strokes from my score soon!

Picked this up online at The Golf Warehouse for $199 with the upgraded Aldila NV shaft (valued at $80). The stock Cleveland shaft is marginal at best with a very low kick point resulting in balooned drives. With the higher kick point shaft this driver is, without a doubt, the best thing on the market, regardless of cost. It is long, straight and forgiving. No gadget screws to mess with, but rather a clean, traditional look. I was at a Nationwide event recently and noticed that this driver seems to be the dominant club in the bag (most with the Aldila NV shaft). I suspect this will be the last driver I will buy unless the USGA pushes the limits again.

Customer Service

The best.

Model Reviewed: 460 Launcher 9.5 stiff

I think this is the best driver currently available, and I tried numerous top drivers before opting for the Launcher 460. Amazingly long, accurate, and forgiving. A note on shafts: I own two of these clubs, one with the stock Fuji, the other with the NV 65 (both stiff flex). I originally bought the stock shaft (loved it) and then heard so much about the NV 65 I thought I'd try it out. I've played numerous rounds with both. The stock Fujikura shaft is awesome and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. It simply rockets the ball with so little effort it will astound you. It will stand up to powerful swings, and it's torsionally stable even if you rip at it, but the beauty of this shaft is how far you can hit with so little effort. I've always been known as a big hitter, but my accuracy has improved because it allows big drives even at slower swing tempos. There's slightly more clubhead feel with the fuji than the NV 65, even though shaft weights are the same on the spec sheet. The NV 65 is also a great shaft, but has a different feel altogether. This shaft has a higher flex point than the Fuji (mid versus low respectively) and feels stiffer than the Fuji. It will suit powerful consistent players. You will need a technically sound swing with significant clubhead speed to take advantage of this shaft's characteristics. Most players, even most of the better players, would benefit from going for the Fujikura shaft, which will allow big booming drives with a finess swing tempo. The "grip it and rip it" players will also like the NV 65. Either way, this is one fantastic club.

A must have! I was swinging it so well on the swing simulator at a golf shop that I had to buy it. I instantly gained at least 15 yards with my drives. The biggest difference that I saw from my old Ping ISI tec driver was the forgiveness. So far the stiff original Fuji in it is finme for me. The first round I played with it, I drove a 370 hole. This driver has taken my game to a new level and my scores keep getting lower and lower.
