Cobra Comp 414
Long time reader of this website, first time poster. I have to agree with the previous poster. This club has got it however you want to define it. I use the 9 degree with the Mitsui-Rayon 45g shaft in regular flex, perfect for my low 90's swing speed. This club is so easy to hit with all but very bad swings giving very good results. I'm not a big person, actually quite short at 5'5" but I have hit drives over 300 yards with this club and consistently 260 plus with a decent swing. The Rayon shaft works perfect with this club and the 9 degree loft gives plenty of height, more so than any 9 degree club I have hit previously. I have tried many drivers in my 35 years of golfing, but this one has performed better for me than any other. Cobra should have stayed with this one longer, because the combination of the multi-layer head and the Rayon shaft is a winner. Oh did I mention that I paid $69 for this great driver on Ebay? Best golf purchase I ever made! Similar Products Used: Cleveland Launcher 400, Taylor Made 580 several Callaway models, Nicklaus Airmax 360 (good driver and shaft. |

You read the reviews for any driver here and they're all glowing "the best driver I've ever hit" is the common phrase, so you never know what to believe. Please, do yourself a favor and believe this one. For once, it is true. This driver has magic, mojo, whatever you want to call it, this driver has IT.

Cobra 414 Comp 9.0', stiff SL-45
An absolute war hammer. This thing absolutely smokes the cover off the ball. I can't work any other club in my bag besides my driver, 7 and 8 irons. It has a very predictable kick and a great feeling face. I switched to it from a Titleist 983E which I had for 1 year, and before that I was hitting a Cleveland Launcher. All great sticks but the Cobra is nuclear. Customer Service Never had to use it. Cracked the head on top of the crown where the weld is and Dick's replaced it for me. Cobra 414 Comp 10.5*
This is without a doubt one of the easiest to hit and most consistent drivers I have ever tested and I have tested every major name brand driver. The SL-45 shaft has a low kick which promotes a high but not ballooning launch angle. Distance wise I found it to be as good as any driver I have tried. The key though was consistency. If you want a driver that you can hit straight or with a very moderate draw shot after shot after shot, this is it! While I found the 10.5* model to be very pleasing, because the Mitsubishi SL-45 shaft has a low kick point some may prefer the 9* model. For me this driver is perfect for those not too windy days. On windy admittedly I swap it out for a Titleist 905T which has a lower launch at the cost of just a little distance. Customer Service Have not had the need for it but Acushnet Similar Products Used: Titleist 905T & 905S, Wilson Dd5 & Pd5, Nike Ignite, Adams Redline RPM, Callaway Bertha 454, Mizuno MP-001 400 & 460, Taylormade R7 & R5, Hogan Big Ben CS3, etc etc. |

Cobra 414CC Comp 7.5* Driver "S"
This is best driver I've ever had. I'm 65 with a relatively slow swing yet I hit this Mitsubishi Rayon "stiff flex" driver 230-240 in the air with a slight draw. The trajectory of this 7.5 degree is like a normal 9 degree. The club is light in weight, very easy to swing and has a very large sweet zone. It came with very little "head feel" (C-9 swing weight), so I changed to a WINN W6 Excel grip (43 grams) and added a couple 2" strips of lead tape to the head to get it to D-2 swing weight. The guys I play with are amazed at the results I'm getting. I've missed two fairways in the last two rounds. Customer Service Just got it - no experience Similar Products Used: Callaway, Titleist, Wilson, TaylorMade, Ping, Nike, Mizuno |

I first hit this driver when a playing partner allowed me to take a few swings with it. I was hitting the SS350 and was very happy with. After taking a swing with the Comp I hit one off the toe and was surprised to see it carry about 240. I went to the range after the round and demo-ed this club. It's without a doubt the best driver I've ever hit and I've hit them all.The ball explodes off the face and makes a very satisfying sound to boot.Since owning it I've let many people hit it and they all were amazed. The only negative comment I got was from a scratch golfer who loved it off the tee but didn't feel he could hit it off the deck in the fairway. I never even think about using a driver off the deck but for him it was a factor.I have the stock graphite shaft in a stiff the flex .Try this club!!! Customer Service No experience. Cobra SZ 414 COMP
Absolutely Awesome. I was introduced to this club on the driving range by a friend. I was hitting my old faithful Burner Bubble 2 driver averaging my normal 215 (I have never been a long driver, just accurate) when a friend told me to hit his King Cobra SZ 400. I told him I had no desire to do so, but after he persisted I said OK. The first shot was 230 with the sweetest ball flight I have ever managed with a driver. After three more swings with even better results I was awestruck. Another friend who had witnessed this then handed me his SZ 414 COMP. I hit this even better. I bought one three days later and I am averaging 240+ yards and in the fairway! The 25 yards has been the difference between hitting a 7 iron vice a 5 iron approach and Wedges vice 7 irons. I have shaved 4-6 strokes a round. I am hitting a 9 degree with the Misubishi-Rayon Stiff flex which comes stock. The trajectory looks more like an 11 degree, due to the low kick shaft and the weight of the club focused at the bottom. The ball flight has a slight draw bias also in accordance with the club design. The club is very light and you can hit this anywhere on the face and the shot explodes. Simply put this club does what it says. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a great driver to give this a try. I have been so impressed that I have ordered the 3&5 SZ Woods. Thank you Cobra!
