I bought my 427ss to a person that recieved that club as a payment, he sold me this club just in a few bucks, i have used this driver for 3 years in the meanwhile i have bought at least 4 "hi tec drivers -you know big heads, more foregivness an so and so-. however no club give me the satisfactions that my old 427 gives me, always sure and accurate, sweet sound, great distance..i love it!

I used to play a generic driver and would have to compensate about 40yds for my slice. I could still hit it about 275 but never straight. I bought a used SS427 with a steel shaft for $40. I hit it 300+ easy and dead straight 95% of the time. It is going to knock 10 strokes of my game easy. I would recommend it to anyone who loves to hit it long.

This club is silly long when you get all of it on a ball. I didn't find it as forgiving as most do though. My miss hits ended up in other area codes. If you're playing with a bunch of high handicappers and want to put on a driving exhibition odds are that you'll impress someone. If you want consistency by sacraficing some yardage go with a Ping G2 which is easier to play. Better yet, grab an old Steelhead 9 degree with a steel shaft which is one of the most reliable drivers ever made. You can find used ones at any local golf shop for under $100.

Customer Service

Good. Head ripped off when I over torqued trying to cheat a dog leg. Had never done that before. Sent it in via the store I bought it at and had it back within a couple weeks.

I've hit this driver for almost 6 years now. It's the only driver I can hit. The country club guys laugh and tell me to try their much more expensive sticks so I do to humor them. I can't get my ball to go anywhere with their drivers that cost about 5x as much. I can always hit the Cobra long and straight and that's all I care about.

This club is long and accurate. I finally upgraded from a driver that I never could hit. I was accustomed to hitting the three wood off the tee. I finally broke down and bought this driver after hitting several brands into the screen at a major golf retailer.

I hit this one the best so decided to purchase. I took it to the range and could not hit a bad shot. I was amazed and shocked. This club is long and straight. The club hits a nice straight shot or a pretty fade (I'm a Leftie) at will.

I would recommend to anyone to buy this line as I have the SZ 3 and 5 woods.

Customer Service

Haven't ever had to deal with them at Cobra.

While on business trip last month, I picked up a rental set of Cobra which include R-flex graphite shaft 10.5-degree SS 427cc driver. Its head is huge compared to my Callaway 2004 Big Bertha Titanium. I was impressed, I think the ball flies higher than my BB, it's easy to hit, and I think it's at least as long as my BB. If I had not bought my BB over a month ago, I would seriously consider this driver. It sounds as loud as my BB titanium. Based on what I've read so far at golfreview.com, most of drivers are good to excellent, we just have to find the one that fit your swing. I believe that the correct shaft to your swing is very important to distance and consistency, If you have money and time, try out different shafts and find the one that fits you.

Bought this club off Ebay. Just on a whim. I have to say it's one of the best buys i have done. I love using the SS427 off the T. Goes long and reasonably straight for me. Do sometimes fade it a bit too much, but the control is good for me. Has given me 20 yards on my previous Driver (Dunlop Loco Pro). I would love to use this thing for every shot i play on the the course

I've had this club for over a year now and thought I'd update an earlier review. As I've improved my swing some in the past year this club has become more and more reliable. I've played my last two rounds from the back tees and if I could putt I would have shot in the high 70's/low 80's. My last round I used this driver on 11 holes and I hit 9 fairways with an average drive between 260-280. I had one that was about 310 but that was a little wind aided. Has really improved my confidence on the tee and I was hitting mostly 7 and 8 irons on my second shots. Just a nice smooth easy swing and the ball was gone. I don't mind the sound the club makes, it's quite loud but that just causes others to turn and look. I highly recommend this club and since this is last year's model (never tried the SZ but I'm sure they're just as good) I'm sure you could get a good price.

Model Reviewed: King Cobra SS 427- 7.5 degree loft-graffaloy blue x-flex shaft

Being only 13 years old, i dont have extrodinary swing speeds. I have owned some top notch drivers such as the Taylormade R580xd, Ping Si3, Callaway ERC Fusion, and the Titleist 983k. By far this driver has improved my swing speeds 15 percent. My swing speed has varied from 69mph to 83mph, and i have had a pretty ugly fade at the end. With this Cobra, i have definately been hitting the ball straighter, and farther. For a short person, I am surprised that i can achieve swing speeds of up to 95 now! No joke, this driver has completely improved my tee shots. This shaft makes a great combination with this driver. Now as far as distance goes, the R580xd was an average of 140 yards, a solid hit would go anywhere from 150-200. With the Cobra, I am hitting consistant "lasers" averaging 150 yards.I would like to see how far my perfect shot will go with this driver. I haven't been able to take it to the course yet, but will definately update when i do....Sorry for the long review..But this driver is great!

Customer Service

Haven't had to deal with their customer service, and hope to never have to.
