GREAT Club!!! I went back to a steel shaft...Sensicore s300 just like my irons plus 1/2 inch length. With this shorter shaft compared to graphite, it swings more like an iron with a big head. My distance is not as far as my 8 BBB but my control and fairways hit greatly increased. It is always better to play from the fairway/rough than punching out from the woods! Mizuno truely makes the BEST golf equipment known. Period!
If you are young and want more control, then I recommend a steel shaft for your driver. You loose torque on the shaft but the accuracy gained far exceeds the offset. Plus, graphite shafts are more more a slower weaker swing(tempo).
Try it....you won't regret it. Tiger uses a steel shaft...so does Sergio. Hmmmm....

This powerful driver requires patience. My shaft is stiff, but it feels very soft. Maybe it's the reason that I get big slices sometimes. But the distance is awesome. Pure hits run about 270 yards compared to 250 from my GBB or Miz T3 Titanium. I like the driver very much. It's a little harder to control compared to the GBB. But it's surely beautiful enough to fall in love with. I am working very hard to get used to it. I believe it would be very easy to hit after few weeks of play.

This driver has it all. Lookes, length, feel, forgiveness, everything. If you are looking for the best driver on the market, then you should be looking at this club. If you can, try to get it with a UST shaft, the yellow one. I only say this because the mizuno shaft isnt the best one out there and 90% of golfers use the wrong shaft.

I have not had the same issues other seem to with the stock shaft - the Reg-Stiff works great for me - swingspeed about 95 mph - toe strikes loose distance but hold their line pretty well - center hits rocket off the face - have been playing a 10* firm Hawkeye before this - the trajectory of the Mizuno is much better - more of a mid trajectory - no balooning like the Hawkeye (which I liked fine until I hit the Mizuno)- drove the green on a short (289 yard) par 4 first time out with it - did the fitting with the Mizuno Tech van and they built the driver right there - know I paid full retail - but fully satisfied with the purchase. In the days of $400 drivers, this is a great club for 25% less.

This club is LONG. I've been hitting the Hawkeye for the last 18 months, hitting long but I wasn't totally sold. I was pleased with the Mizuno forged 3 and 5-woods, so I thought I would give the driver a try. I am amazed at how the ball rockets off the face of the club. Good feel and workability. I have a Harrison shaft in this club and really like it. I've hit this club with the stock shaft in it and would rather swing a tin can on the end of a broomstick. Definitely recommend this club.

Been looking for a driver that would increase my distance and keep my accuracy. The TM was good for accuracy but lacked distance to score. Without much practice, the Mizuno on average, drives the ball 20-25 yards longer for me with the stock S shaft. However, I don't like the feel of the whippy Mizuno shaft on impact. I would like to reshaft and I'm thinking about UST or Penly. Otherwise, this is a great club and what a wonderful feeling to be hitting a low iron into the green rather than a mid iron.

This is one of the classiest and best performing drivers on the market. I am 16 and have now begun to break into the 70s thanks in part to the excellent birdie position this club puts me in off the tee. With a solid 100 mph swing i can really get some booming shots off eventhough iam only 135 lbs (and 5'10") My only gripe is the standard shaft. even the stiff shaft is too flexible. I had the club reshafted with a UST Proforce 65 gold stiff and the club is like a dream. To put it simply if this club was a woman I'd marry it in a second. And what's more the price isn't so steep either for a titanium driver that performs better than my old (new) Hawkeye VFT (a complete waste of $400, i fell bad for my dad because he bought my VFT for a b-day present) this driver plainly put kicks ass.

Customer Service

Mizuno has been great, when I expressed displeasure with the shaft that agreed to cover the cost of having it reshafted with the proforce

I was on a mission to find the perfect driver for me. I literally tried everything out there. From the Taylor Mades to the Callaways, to the Adams, to the Wilson Deep Red, Ping drivers, etc.

It came down to 2 clubs for me: The Mizuno or the Wilson Deep Red. After hitting about 100 balls with each club, the winner was the WDR.

While I think the Mizuno may be a tad longer than the WDR, the WDR is much more accurate and forgiving. The feel of the WDR is a bit more "muted" than the "crisp" feel of the Mizuno. So, if you are looking for a crisp feeling club, go with the Mizuno. If you want an accurate driver you can take out on those long narrow par 5's, get he WDR.

Both the Mizuno and the WDR are excellent clubs and I was really "on the fence" on which one I should buy. But, as mentioned above, the WDR was the best club for me.... even for the extra $60.

So, if you are looking for an excellent driver, with excellent distance, great feel, great trajectory, and good looks, buy the Mizuno or Wilson Deep Red. I don't think you will be disappointed with either club. It's just that the WDR is the better club for me personally.

Bought this second hand with a FlexStar stiff shaft (huh?!. Driver steers the ball all the way right. Changed to steel DGS; ball didnt fly. Finally changed to a UST Competition Series Pro S-Stiff; on verge getting rid it.

Guess what? The ball flies 250yds with ease and dead straight. In fact, it is almost impossible to make it slice or draw. Maybe not so workable ;) but as distance driver with great ease, buy this thing. Dont have to waste too much money changing the shaft to PF series. Try the cheaper UST Competition Series. Anyone ever have tried this shaft?
No ego boost, but it works just as well with this light driver head. Good buy, at last!

Beautifull looking club, got it with the BiMatrix stiff shaft. Too much club for me!!! I play 270-280 consistant with an Orlimar Tri metal and a titelist or top flight; this club... I could not get in the fairway:o(!!! I tried it all, adjust the feet, snap at the bottom, roll the hands.... on and on and on. It either went out 200yds and took a 90 degree right turn or it started right and went straight at a 30 degree angle from aim. It is a big club, and I swing at about 100-102 mph consistantly. To keep it in the fair way I hit about 180 to 190 yds with nothing on it. For the right person with a perfect swing that starts with a draw, this is your club! When you do catch it, count on long low trajectory with superb distance and exceptional roll! The other thing I had a problem with is; it is such a different swing, I went to my fairway woods for a second shot and pulled every thing out of bounds to the left! If you are the "B" player in the group, don't do it!!! It is an expensive lesson.
