distance at the sacrifice of accuracy with a very questionable shaft quality.

it likes to go right, i won't say it is slice prone but that depends on your swing.

go to 2nd Swing, they have a ton of these things, if they were that good people would hold on to them.

i will stick with my Taylor Made !!

Model Reviewed: Mizuno Forged Titanium Driver

This is really a nice looking club and feels great. For $299 it is a pretty good value, when compared to the outrageous priced Titleist and Callaway Products.

I recently purchased a Mizuno Forged Titanium Driver, with a UST Proforce 75 shaft. I like the feel of the club, but the 75 shaft was a tad too stiff for me. I tried the Mizuno standard stiff shaft and liked the club much better. The ball comes off hot, goes very straight, and is long.

I recently had the opportunity to try the Mizuno driver, head-to-head, with the Wilson Deep Red Driver and the Ping i3 stainless. I hit a total of about 200 balls with the 3 above mentioned clubs and, while the Mizuno and WBR driver were very close, I ended up going with the WBR. It was a very close "race".

My biggest swing flaw, espeically with the driver, is I have a tendency to "bail" out right. With the Mizuno, the ball started out right, and sliced pretty bad. With the WBR, the ball started our right, but stayed straight. I actually hit the ball about 10-15 yards farther with the Mizuno, but the WBR was a bit more accurate.

What it boils down to. For me, the Mizuno and WBR are both outstanding clubs. What sold me on the WBR was it was a little more accurate for my particular swing tendencies. But, if you want to save yourself $75, go with the Mizuno. It is an outstanding club.

Customer Service

I ordered a 9.0 Degree "Tour" head from LiquidGolf.com and I ended up getting the "regular" head. When I called to complain, the Customer Representative (Todd) did everything in his power to get me the correct head, but I guess Mizuno has stopped making them. Since he could not "correct" the situation, he gave me a gift certifcate. I think the CS representatives at Liquid Golf are very good and I will be buying more stuff from them. I highly recommend LG.com.

I purchased this club second hand. It came with a Regular-flex version of the Mizuno stock "Accel-Arc" shaft. This club was always long, but I found that I had to swing it very slowly to avoid spraying it either with a high slice or a snap hook. It turns out that this Regular flex is equivalent to about a senior flex in most other shafts.

My swing tempo is fairly quick, and I accelerate into the ball quite well. As a result, with the regular Mizuno shaft I had real trouble getting any consistency out of the club. I really couldn't go after any drives with confidence, knowing that the massive flex was going to do some serious directional damage (usually to the right).

I decided to reshaft with the UST ProForce 65 Gold, stiff flex. Even though the Mizuno reps claimed that if I wanted stiff I should go with their shafts (of course they're going to try and flog their own products), the balance of opinion on here especially supported the ProForce as the shaft of choice. After having a specialist club fitter reshaft it, the club has improved significantly. My shot dispersion is much tighter, and I can really go after a drive knowing that a snap hook or big slice is unlikely to result (unless through a swing error). I now feel like I know which way the ball will go through the air as a result of my swing - before, it seemed like a bit of a lottery (I guess that means that the new shaft is giving much better feedback and response). I have also noticed that distance hasn't been diminished - that is, although this is a much stiffer flex, the fact that I can actually have a quick tempo and accelerate into the ball has more than outweighed the reduced shaft flex.

All in all, this club is excellent as-is - but if you have a high tempo swing, I would strongly consider reshafting with a stiff flex shaft. With the UST shaft, I am overjoyed with this club and it gives me tremendous confidence stepping up to the tee.

this is an amazing driver, but the stock shaft is junk. i am reshafting with the UST proforce 65 stiff, cause this set up is oh-so-sweet. this is very long as well, and i just tried it out one day, cause i recently got some forged irons and was very satisfied with them. and now i'm satisfied with the driver.

Use it with a Proforce 75 tour stiff and it is the most amazing driver ever. It has a very high center of gravity and gives you a boring ball flight. I cut it down to 44" for a bit more control and it still outdrives any other driver by 15 yards minimum. Pro Series is a very easy driver to work

Model Reviewed: Mizuno TZOID Titanium Driver Acc Arc Shaft

I'm 5'2 95 pounds, so I didn't really expect to get that big of distance with any driver. Man was I wrong when I purchased the TZIOD! With the TM Ti I was hitting the ball only 200-180 yards. At first I would only slice or draw drives with the TZIOD, but after months with this club I was amazed. My drives now average from 250-300+ yards. Plus the club is fairly accurate, and provides distance to rival the newest drivers today.

Bought a 9 degree regular flex shaft. At first I really struggled with slicing off the box. I went back to my Golf Smith XPC 10.5 degree offset. However, spending time working with the Miz. was well worth it. The XPC is about 250 yards on a good day. Last week I took the Miz. out and connecting on the screws launched 3 300 yard drives. It was amazing and quite enjoyable to watch. The guys were amazed at my distance as well. They know I don''t hit 300 yarders. They swooned over the club. And it looks great to boot. Sold on the club. I know its not the best stance but I closed up just a bit and closed the face a wee bit as well.

Customer Service

www. mygolfpro.com was wonderful. The clubs arrived when promised direct from the factory and the price was fantastic. Look up the web site and work with Bobby Westfall.
