After seeing this on e-bay for $150 (Australian!) I had to put in an offer. For some reason there are alot of these on e-bay(Aus)and nobody seems to be interested. Anyway, I got the 400cc model with stock stiff shaft. From the first drive this is the longest, most accurate, most forgiving, most consistent, sweetest feeling driver I've ever hit. Nicklaus products are the real deal, this is a high quality piece of equipment. The feel was sweet and solid through the hands without any hint of tinnyness some of the 'knockoff clubs' in this price range have at impact. The forgiveness of this driver is unbelievable. Even bad swings find the sweet spot and are not overly punished. It seems to have very little spin and the ball wants to go straight(who wants to work a driver anyway, straight down the middle is all you need). When I concentrate I can hit fairway after fairway. It didn't magically give me an extra 30 yards past my long drives with other drivers(I've always believed even the old steel headed drivers go as far as any when hit right out of the screws), but my average drive is at least 20 longer as I consistently hit it long and don't lose distance from the mis-hits I experienced before. The gap between long drives and mis-hits is alot less now. I can't compare this with other big headed drivers as this is the first one I have hit, but I couldn't imagine the higher priced ones(Taylormade 580, cleveland launcher etc) performing much better than this. This driver is almost like cheating, it certainly takes alot of the talent factor out of hitting a good shot. I would reccomend this driver to anyone, particularly in Aus as they are so cheap. I will be using this for a long time.

I bought this driver because my dad has one. When we went to find him a new driver we tried the Taylormade 580. This driver seems much more forgiving and i had the ability to hit it farther and straighter.

Model Reviewed: Airmax 440 ML

Just purchased this driver after tons of research. I was sold on the Taylor Made R580 XD, but when I looked at the specs & compared price this 1 seemed the better deal. I have been playing less than a year and my short game is progressing fine I was just having trouble getting off the tee.(I was using an old set of persimmon woods) I went to the driving range this morning and I couldn't beleive the difference. I got off the tee 99% of the time and shot long and straight. I would recommend this driver to anyone (especially if you are having trouble with your current driver) This one is EASY to hit!!!

I just purchased this club earlier today and it is everything that you here people say about it. It's really hard to believe that this club is under $300.00 when it out performs so many that are well over $300.00. I also have the Cobra 440 SZ and they seem pretty close to each other in distance with the airmax getting maybe a 5 to 10 yard edge. I also seemed to hit the airmax just a bit straighter than the cobra. Another advantage for the airmax is it has a nice shaft in it already with the cobra I replaced the stock shaft with an Aldila NV65. I guess to sum it all up, I really was hitting my Cobra well but decided to just see if there was a club out there that I could possibly hit any better and to my surprise I found it in the Airmax.

Customer Service

Haven't used Nicklaus but Martin's is great!!

Model Reviewed: Nicklaus air max 360 driver

I had this club a few years back and the bug to buy the hottest and latest drives has gotten the best of me. I have tried the titleist 975j,and the callaway big bertha 2 but they don't compare to the airmax 360. I gained at least 15 to 20 yards from the tee and much straighter with the air max which comes with a good shaft in the fujikura. It's hard to beleive that it's not played on the pga tour as much. This is a great driver and I would recommend it to anyone, in fact Iv'e told all my freinds and now they play the airmax driver. I'll be in myrtle beach this summer and I plan to hit the new air max drivers, It's the only place that I can find them in left handed to try.

Great driver! Hits 15 yards longer than my Ping TiSi Titanium driver and much straighter.I also hit the new Titlest 980E and the Airmax is at least 15 yards longer. It amazes me that more golfers (including pros) are not using this driver. The ball literally "jumps" off of the club face. I can't wait to try the new Nicklaus 440 driver that will be introduced at the PGA merchandise show this month in Orlando.

Well after waiting forever I finally got the 430 S. Was well worth the wait. Everything they say about this club is true. Very long ( yes it goes 20 + yds. farther then my old Jdriver ) and straight. When you do mis-hit the shot is still quite respectable. I would suggest if you are in the market for a new driver you should give this one a shot. Plus you can get 2 of them for the price of one of the name brand ones. That way you can let your playing partners hit that one and leave you alone too hit yours. Really try this club out. Thanks

Had an AirBear II and just got the 430. If the 360 was great, the 430 is awesome. My longest drives are over 300 yds. and it along with the Top-Flite Infinity balls totally changed my club selections for my approach shots. On our long par 4's I went from driver - 5 Iron to driver - 3/4 pitching wedge. On the par 5's I went from driver - 3wood to driver - 7 wood. I have the Airmax 3,5,7 woods and they are every bit as solid as the driver. I know a 7 wood is about accuracy and not distance but I easily hit it 220 yds with better accuracy than my 3 iron (which wasn't hard to do)so I took the 3 iron out of the bag an added another wedge.
