SMT Golf Nemesis Drivers

SMT Golf Nemesis Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Head only. We have combined 3 different strains of Titanium in one head to produce the highest quality head ever produced that is available to the consumer in component form. We had a unique opportunity to jump into the vaccum forging field with this head, and based on our testing, will most likely re-tool our existing heads to follow suit. "Vacuum Forged", is basically a method that uses warm materials ( titanium ), and actually "sucks" them to shape while at the same time, removing any and all air that is trapped inside the titanium. The result is a product that has an orange peel look, that has to be hand filled with more titanium, to bring the club to it''''''''s final finished luster. The process takes 3 times longer than traditional forging, but the solid feel it produces is umatched through traditional methods of manufacture.

I built this club with the accuflex assasin 2 shaft, but hit it way too low,now changed to an old Ping 350 series am now getting good distance and trajectory, don't like the feel very much, not vibrant enough for me, but it works O.K.

The longest driver I have hit yet! I put the Accuflex Pro LD X-Flex shaft in this club and have been KILLING it. Even more important I have not had any noticeable loss in accuracy. A beautiful club, this one will draw lots of questions on the range.

I have built many drivers and bought many topline drivers. The Nemesis is the best coupled with a Grafaloy Pro-Lite shaft. I also tried a 455 SMT with a Pro-Lite but I felt the club head was tool large for the torque of the shaft. The Nemesis is easy to hit straight, fade and turn over. Mike over at SMT is soon to be in the record books as one of the best driver head designers going. I am very excited about the fairway woods coming out this summer. Bill Vesia

This is the first club I've ever assembled that I felt so good about that I had to tell everyone about it. All I can say is WOW!!!. I've tried about everything on the market at one time or another. My most recent driver was a Bang 450 with a Proforce XL shaft. I thought it was good until I hit the Nemesis. I assembled the Nemesis with the new Harrison Stiper J shaft. The shaft colors are a perfect match for the beautiful blue color of the Nemesis. I had been reduced to playing a slight fade with my last few drivers, but no more. My first drive with Nemesis was loooong and much to my surprise, turned over. I can honestly say that I'm hitting this club 15 yds longer with much better control. The trajectory is perfect. The sound of the club is perfect. The club hits great if I put a good swing on it. The 370 cc size is not bad at all. It really doesn't look that big. I love this club. I'm really not sure if it's the head or the shaft, but who cares. The combinatioin is perfect.

I am a driver junkie- I buy mostly off Ebay and occasionally build myself from components. I'm 50 years old with a very compact swing and a low trajectory. I purchased the Nemesis new off Ebay with an Accuflex Pro LD World Champion shaft in X flex. The blue and white shaft is a striking match with the blue Nemesis. I had the club built at full length- 46.5 inches. I couldn't be happier. The club is longer than almost all of the many drivers I have used. Trajectory is low if I tee it lower and higher if I tee it higher. I play on a windy course and that is very helpful. Head size (370cc) is a nice compromise. Feel is muted and very agreeable. The shaft is excellent and I would recommend the X flex in this ultralight for anyone with a 100mph+ swing speed. Best of all, with a slow wide takeaway, short backswing, and strong finish, I hit more fairways with this extended length driver than I have with any other. Mistakes are when I don't get my hands through sufficiently and leave it a little to the right. All in all, a really fine club.

This is not for real! In march i bought a SMT 455 DB, Graphite Design YS-6, and i thought i could´nt be happier. Now I´ve bought a SMT Nemesis, Grafalloy Blue, and I´m almost speachless !!! My swingspeed is 110 mph and I was (pre SMT time)used to carry 230 yards. The 455 DB made me carry 250 yards, and now the Nemesis puts me on 270. It´s still pretty wet on the fairway´s and I´m looking forward to see some roll. The control is superb. Watch out senior tour --- here I come!!!

The Nemesis is an awesome driver. I purchased a 10 degree with the Accuflex Pro LD II R-flex shaft. It replaces my Titleist J 8.5 degree with UST ATR 65 R-flex shaft. I have about 100MPH swing speed. I play a hilly, windy course in western PA and this driver is a good fit. Even with the ten degree loft it hits the ball with a nice boring trajectory and the ball rolls when it hits the ground. Those who play flatter courses or who have higher swing speeds might want to go with a lower lofted clubhead. It took no time to get used to playing with it. After only 1 swing on the practice range I was able to drill it long and straight every time. On average I am carrying the ball 10 yards further and the roll is 10 yards further. I hit this club straighter and more consistently long than with the "J". What was considered a good drive before is now my normal drive. The Accuflex Pro LD II shaft at an R-flex is the perfect fit for me. I was concerned that I might not be as accurate as with the UST shaft. I found the opposite to be true, I hit it straighter with the Accuflex -- no doubt about it. The Pro LD has a "hot kick", but I don't feel as though it is whippy or out of control. The head of the Nemesis is solid and not overly large like some current competitive models. The club, built with the Accuflex Pro LD shaft, is marvelous to look at. By design the shaft color and the head color match. I recently tried the BBII and TaylorMade models. The Nemesis is much better in terms of consistency, feel and overall performance.

Talk to Pat Demsey at HorsepowerGolf. The reigning world champion senior long drive champion is a great guy and will give you good advice on what to buy. He pured/frequencied the shaft and had the club to me in a few days.

I bought the Nemesis in component form 9 degrees and I assembled the driver with a Phoenixx shaft Thermp Pro P1230 and swingweighted at D-4 45 1/2 inches.I have found the club to be lower in flight and since I like to draw the ball. I could hit a low draw and control it quite easily. I especially like the shaft and the way it performs with the head. To all club builders you should tell your customers to use a shaft that is a little stiffer in flex. I would suggest some of the new titanium shafts Grafalloy,Harrison, or some of the other shafts that are designed for the bigger heads. I love component companies and SMT is on its way. Their line is fairly small. The sound of all their drivers is pleasing and the workability of their drivers will surprise the better golfer. Out of five stars I give it 4 . I am a tough judge. No One gets 5.

Customer Service

I would assemble the club myself, but Custom Club Makers seem fine Diamond Tour Golf knowledgeable friendly. I build clubs for friends and not much profit. I am not trying to give anyone company a pat on the back, but their are some that I would not consider. I won't name them.
