Just got my hand on a 9.5 degree mint condition R510 tp with fuji 757 stiff. I HAVE SERIOUSLY JUST ABOUT EVERY DRIVER ON THE MARKET OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS, AND NOTHING COMES AS FAR AS THE FEEL AND PERFORMANCE OF THIS CLUB. SOME DRIVERS ARE AS LONG BUT THEY DONT SET UP LIKE THE 510 TP. The shaft/head combo allows me to work the ball like never before. The cosmetics of the club are so clean, unlike the crap out their today, ie; nike sasquatch, Ping G2, even the new R7 tp with the gimmick weight system. Taylormade is starting to chase the almighty dollar a liitle too hard. They need to go back old school clubs such as the r 510 tp. I will be bummed in 5 or so years when i'll have to find a new driver.

SOLID - good size head with clean appearance.
Been having issues with EVERY driver I put in my hands for the last 6 months.

HOOK< HOOK< HOOK<

I finally checked my ego and took a lesson from my instructor. We "repaired" my set up issues and off to the course I went with this driver for it's first full round.
I will say this is the most solid Taylormade driver I've hit.
11 playable drives of 13!
9 in the fairway
2 off the fairway less thn 5 feet
1 in the trees(1st swing on the course)
1 THROUGH THE FAIRWAY into the trees on slight dogleg right. A spot I never would have imagined I could reach.

It's not quite as long as my Titleist 975LFE but same kind of low to mid trajectory. Same amount of carry but not quite as much roll.
This is not a complaint at all, because I find it's more forgiving than the smaller Titleist head, which resulted in more playable drives when I did miss hit.

Again, it's the MOST solid TAYLORMADE driver I have hit, has a good sound and the shaft is stable with good kick.
I picked up the same head with the Aldila NV-65 Stiff shaft and will make a comparison soon.

I have owned these before, but was fortunate to find one on Ebay for $65 with a 44", stiff, steel shaft. At 8.5* I can pipe this driver, keep it in play, work it either direction and amazingly, especially given the loft, hit it off the fairway. I have drilled several low, boring 230 yard shots with it off the turf. It has become, something of a big hybrid for me. I can hit it off the tee 250+, keep it in the fairway, and use it for approach shots. Can't beat that.

Have tried just about every driver on the market. What I've learned, it's not the arrow but the indian that has control over the ball. BUT the 510TP has a very solid feel and has excellent carry and distance. I consistenly hit the ball as far as any driver ever tried with minimum hooks or slices. If find it also very easy to control draws and fades when exacuted. Highly recommend this one.

Had one of these for 12 months. Tried 5 different drivers while I had this and binned each of them to go back to the R510 TP. It's so consistent and the low penetrating ball flight is amazing. Off centre hits can be felt, but this is a club aimed at low handicap players. Sound off the face a little dull, but distance is reasonable. Only just stopped using this to upgrade to the Titleist 905S.

FINALLY found a head shaft combo that works for ME. don't really care what others have to say about this club. let's just say that I am in the fairway and that I am the last one to hit second shot. ball flight is the best I have ever seen. the shaft is tipped extra stiff in this club head. according to TM this club was never released to the public. I found it on proshopwarehouse.com brand new for 259.00. I got mine last week they only had 14 drivers left. completely blows the r7 away had a r7 tp speeder 757 sold it yesterday

Model Reviewed: Taylor R510 Tp Fujikura speeder 757 Stiff

I had been using an R7 for about 4 months when I saw this on ebay for cheap. In the end I sniped it for 160. What a deal!!! The R7 and this 510 TP look very similar, but that's where it ends. I find the head of the 510 to be much much softer at impact and also much livlier. While the R7 produces a loud tinny sound, this thing launches the ball with a pleasent crack on a fairly steep angle with low spin. I can honestly say I have never hit a ball so high that holds its line in the wind and doesn't balloon! The first time I hit it, i thought "Oh dear, this thing is going to just float and then die short". I couldn't have been more wrong. The ball certainly hovers in the air forever, but also keeps driving forward. My first few shots pitched around 250 yards, which is pretty damn good!! Ok, so you can't mess around with the weights, or change the launch angle like the R7, but at these prices this driver is a steal. However, with the difference of the fujikura shaft and the "TP" magic, I can't help wondering what the r7 TP is like. Oh well, knowing TaylorMade, I won't have to wait long before that is also available for under 200 dollars!!

I just switched to the R510 tp and i am killing the ball. I usually hit it 285 with my Cobra Comp but since i have switched i am now easily in the 300's. This driver has an amazing high lanuch angle for an 8.5 degree driver and allows me to hit the ball with a high draw ( Stiff Speeder 757)I would recommend this driver to people with a 10 handicap and under. It is an amazing club to gain distance and it is very consistant with trajectory and ball control
