TaylorMade TaylorMade R7 Draw Drivers

TaylorMade TaylorMade R7 Draw Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Switched from the R5 Draw to R7 460 Draw. No transition time at all, began hitting this one perfectly right away. I had a Prolaunch 55 Regular flex in my R5, but the ReAx stock shaft in the R7 Draw is an incredible shaft, feels very similar to the ProLaunch. No need for an upgrade in shaft - as long as the off-the-shelf flex fits you well.

As has been stated many times in these reviews, the 'Draw' clubs are not magic. You still have to make a good swing. Just a little technology assisting you, that's all.

As with a lot of Taylormade drivers, the feel is solid, the sound is good, and the distance and forgiveness are money.

Played 9 holes and was in the fairway 6 of 7 times. The 7th time I was in the right rough.

I went to the range and 80% were straight or slightly right. An awesome driver, looks good, sounds good and hits well.

Very easy swinging and hits the ball consistently straight.

WARNING. Listen, this is a great club and I am happy I bought it, but everyone can't expect this club to completely change their golf game without changing their swing. I was a VERY bad slicer and bought this club out of frustration as I love the game of golf and wanted to improve. YOU STILL WILL SLICE THIS CLUB if you don't change your swing, plain and simple. I really worked on the 2 causes of a slice which is keeping the swing on plane and turning the wrists to square the face at impact and now I hit long straight drives with this and sometimes slight draws. If I get lazy and still leave my hands open at impact the ball will still end up right.

This club will HELP a slice but won't completely cure a slice so although it's worth a look to any slicer, don't expect to pay for a straight drive until you learn the reason your slicing and can work to improve your swing as well.

I've tried so many drivers but never eliminated my slice. I did some research and read so many reviews about TM R7 draw so I thought this will be the last driver I will buy and find out if it really is the CURE! So much for make or break, this driver DELIVERED my expectations and more!!! I hit either a draw ( I've never hit a hook or draw before) or straight to the target where I aim!! Now my mates are so nervous when they see me on the tee as they know, I will bomb one consistently...Increased my distance by at least 20 meters (where i lose distance due to slice). Thanks Taylor Made engineers!! I never thought I would ever write a review but this is a must for me!

I must admit i was sceptic. I was looking at all the review and was thinking mmmmmmmm.....some BS out there. However, i tried the R7 Draw driver. My slice was gone ! Lost a ittle distance, but hey, i was on the fairway 9 times out of ten. (instead of 2). I went and bought myself one. Been hitting fairways ever since and lowered my game of about 10 strokes. Wow. Just put my Great big Bertha drive up for sale on e-bay.

Listen, i literally bought this club 1 hour prior to a tee time. I spent maybe 20 minutes on the driving range with it prior to teeing off. Wow, what a difference! From the first time i swung the club on the driving range i could feel and see a difference in ball flight, straight down the middle, and at least 25yds longer than my previous driver (Launcher 400. And it was so easy to hit, i dont remember the last time i was hitting a low iron on my second shot for my approach! Outstanding results, i wish i would have learned about this club long ago!!!!! well worth the money! great job Taylor Made, you just made my golf game that much more fun!

Very good driver, especially now as you can pick it up new for around 150 pounds.
Great forgiveness and can be bombed as well, great for the slicer who wants a straighter hit and doesnt damage a draw into a hook either.

I have always had a very bad slice. I usually hit my irons fine, but I have always had trouble with my driver. After using the 2004 Big bertha Titanium and other cheap drivers, I decided it was time to finally spend the money and get a "real" driver. All I can say, is you get what you pay for. I spent $150 for a new R7 Draw at Dicks Sporting Goods. Now that I am hitting this club I may only slice once a round. The extra toe weight helps me rotate my hands through the swing and allows me to close the face at impact. This is not a miracle club but it has definately helped me. I will say that I dont believe that I hit it as far as my previous drivers, but I will take a 20 yard drop in distance if it means my second shot is out of the fareway instead of out of the trees. If you need the extra help like I did, you cant beat this driver!!!!!

I play about twice a month and shoot in the low 80's. I have tried several drivers from different brand names. This is the best so far. In the past i had a slice which i turned into a fade with some swing changes. This driver will straighten that out. I bought a 10.5 deg. with regular stock shaft. My driver swing speed is 98 mph. I've played about four rounds with it and hit 80 percent of the fairways with it. With no loss of distance as other people have said. I have probably gained 10 to 20 yards. I was just left of a green last week, Par 4 311 yards! All i can say is WOW! This thing is straight and long. I did block one right out of bounds also, but that was my fault. Can't blame the driver for everything now can you. My good friend that i play with went out and bought himself a new driver just to try and keep up He bought a callaway 460. Also a nice driver. But i say to him good luck keeping up with this club. Give it a try and hit them long and straight!
