I tried this driver on the range. Not good enough for my superb play. You see, I could be a touring pro but I don't play for money. This driver just lack the snap, crackle and pop that I need in my driver.

went from 425 to the superquad TP; added an epic shaft (S)-wonderful combination, has produced a terrific controllable ball flight, excellent length-9.5 degree has given me launch angle of 12 degrees. Ball goes where I want it to go.

i am 12 years old and 5 foot 3 inches. I tried alot of the other drivers such as rapture, sasquatch, normal super quad and burner. superquad tp by far the best there is gave me 10 - 15 more yards so now hitting it 255 and super straight and incredibly workable. if your a good player or a great player this driver is perfect i know im young but i highly reccamend this driver.

The Superquad TP is absolutely amazing for my swing. My drives are now significantly more consistent with a lower penetrating flight. Although my carry distance is about the same, the rolling distance has improved 20+ yards.

I have a somewhat vertical swing which produces very high lofted drives. Using my old R7 460, I typically drove the ball around 240-260 yards with little roll. However, I tend to slice 25% of my drives off the tee.

Now, I'm driving the ball 260-290 yards and have reduced the slices to baby fades. This driver has improved my driving accuracy immediately.

Customer Service

The store salesman was very knowledgeable about his products. He recommended the Superquad TP because it produces a lower penetrating ball flight compared to my R7 460 and other drivers.

I have tried about everything out there and this is this best driver I have ever hit. Received it on Jan 2, 2008, and just hit it for the first time yesterday. Warmed up a bit with my old Cobra driver then teed up and swung for the fences. First drive went about 320 yards! The ball just absolutely jumps off the face and is extremely long and straight, even on mis-hits. I know this because the ball leaves an imprint on the black matte face every time. Even hits way out on the toe go straight for me, and I am hitting this club at least 20-30 yards further than my previous Speed Series Cobra and Ping G10 driver. I havent even messed with the weighting system, the club is still set up with neutral weighting, and based on my results so far, I doubt if I will change it. It looks great at setup and the all black looks terrific. I got mine with the 75g stiff shaft and I can swing as hard as I want without wayward shots. A truly great club! Even the sound is great. The price tag may be steep for some, but as far as I am concerned you cannot place a price tag on a club that will let you play from the fairway the majority of the time, thus I give this club a 5 star value rating.

ORIGNALLY HAD THE 427TP AND LIKED THE ACCURACY I GOT BUT I LOST ABOUT 25-30 YARDS. I DID HAVE A 75G STIFF SHAFT. BOUGHT THE REG SUPERQUAD WITH S 75G SHAFT AND HATED IT. SO I TOOK A CHANCE ON THE TP VERSION. ORDERED IT WITH 55G STIFF AND LOVE IT. AS STRAIGHT AS THE 427 AND GOT MY DISTANCE BACK. USED TO PLAY ALL CALLAWAY BEFORE I SWITCHED TO TM. BEEN VERY HAPPY. TRY OUT THE CLUBS BEFORE YOU BUY AS THEY TEND TO BE MORE MONEY.

Customer Service

TOOK ALMOST A MONTH TO GET MY DRIVER. BUT IT WAS AFTER THE FIRES IN SAN DIEGO.

After hitting the SuperQuad on the range and on the course, I found this club to be extremely accurate. Considering this was the TP model, I still found it fairly forgiving on slight mis-hits. However, I find the X-Speed that I am currently using to be nearly 20-25 yards longer. Either this shaft doesn't fit me, or this club isn't very long. Either way, it is a good club, I think I may have had an improper shaft.

Customer Service

The customer service at Taylormade is top notch. Our course carries only Adidas products, and they take good care of our whole crew, and the public we deal with too.

Model Reviewed: TaylorMade Superquad TP

After giving away the original Superquad (hooked Faced) and going thru the TaylorMade Preformance Lab fitting system, I ordered the 10.5 degree 85g X-Flex and have fallen in love with the club. Only draw back is a relative lack of workability due to the 460cc clubhead. Really have to focus on the swing path to draw/fade on command otherwise goes long and straight. If consistancy and workability are your goals then I would go with the R7 425 TP, much easier to work the golf ball and the movable weight tech comes into play more as a result of the smaller clubhead. Overall the Superquad TP is a bombers weapon of choice.

I think I've tried every model available during 2007 including the standard Superquad. Every year I go through driver after driver changing shafts but never seem to find the right one. The 907 D2 was ok as was the Ping Rapture but the superquad tp beats them all. I have the 9.5 degree with the tp reax 65gram shaft and find the ball flight is very penetrating. I've tried the original r7 tp, the 425 tp and the 460 tp but the weights never seemed to make that much of a difference to the ball flight for me. With the superquad tp I find that the weights don't influence the height of shot but the weight make a big difference if you want to draw or fade. The slightly open face angle looks far better than the standard superquad. An expensive club but the best driver Taylormade has produced.
