Titleist 907D2 Drivers

Titleist 907D2 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

Titleist. The #1 460cc driver on the PGA Tour.

When it comes to 460cc drivers, even at the highest level of competitive golf, there are plenty of choices. And Titleist continues to be the brand trusted above all others. Now there's the next evolution of 460cc driver technology, the new Titleist 907 drivers.

The Titleist 907D2 is a multi-material 460cc driver with an enhanced moment of inertia (MOI) for increased DISTANCE WITH WORKABILITY and shot control.

MOI is the clubhead's resistance to twisting on off-center impact (i.e., heel, toe, high, or low). A higher MOI value means more resistance to twisting. The benefit of a higher MOI is longer distance (better energy transfer from club to ball) on off-center impacts.

I recently purchased this club after using an older model Titleist driver. i must say i gained around 15 metres in distance and my drives have been a bit more accurate than the norm, only complaint i have is that it feels a little heavy but that might be cause of my shaft. overall great club. well done titlesit

I picked this club up for $100 from a friend who has multiples with different shafts in each. It has the Daiamana Blueboard s63 x5ct shaft in it. So I knew I could at least sell the shaft to someone for that amount if not much more for the club as a whole.

I am known as a high ball hitter so I knew that I would get better ball flight, but I didn't expect the accuracy that came too. I hit one hook with it all day and that's just because I had the ball setup a bit too far ahead, trying to see what would happen. I hit only 7 out of 13 fairways but the 5 others were only in the first cut and were on my target line(and there's the hook, which hit the wet stuff), so I need to just adjust my alignment on those holes next time. I'm still used to playing a high draw or hook flight. Overall this combination was the best that I have ever picked up and I've hit countless top brand drivers. I also picked up at least 10 to 15 yards with it, but I was hitting a 10.5 Cleveland Hi-Bore before, so the 2 degrees difference there had a huge affect on distance. I just can't wait to hit it on a day where it's not cart path only and I can get some roll at the end too. I am more than pleased with this club and have found the driver that was right for me, finally.

Go hit one and see how you feel about it, but if you can get your hands on the Diamana shaft definitely give it a try, well worth what you get from it, and a true steal for the price that I paid.

Nearly every club out there. My buddy is a club junkie to the infinite degree and comes to the course nearly every day with a new driver or something in his bag. Expensive for him, but awesome for me.

Golfreview didn't post this driver up yet so I'm just writing it in the 907 D2. Just got the 909 D2 about a week ago. Driver feels good at impact. Wasn't longer than my TM R7 Superquad. It's pretty forgiving. Just some pushes and pulls but no banana balls. It has the VOODOO shaft in stiff. You need to catch it on the upswing but when you do, feels solid and smooth. I think it puts a lot of spin on the ball (I use PROV1x). Didn't get much roll. I actually like the sweetspot of my Superquad a little better, but I only played with it once today so I'll come back to write about it some more soon.

This is a really great, classic driver among the new innovated drivers of today. I had been previously been hitting a TM Burner with the stock 50 gram shaft. At first, I hit it well, but then I could only draw it, which turned into a rope. The 907 with the VS Proto is a great combo. I can work the ball either way and don't have to worry about hooking it. It is a great all around feel club that would suit a decent golfer's game well.

WOW! I use to be able to only drive the ball 180 yrds but now after my D2 purchase I can drive the ball 300 yrds. I added 120 yards to my drive! I now have my swagger back. Hell, I think my jimmy even grew after this purchase. I am now picking up girls like P.Diddy. I owe all of this to Titleist and my purchase of the D2. When people see me hit balls at the range the now ask for autographs, and girls take serious notice. Purchase this driver and all of this can be yours.

Model Reviewed: D2 10.5 DVS Reg

I have review a few drivers on this site, maybe even this driver. I won't say it let's me hit 300 yard drives, nothing could do that. It is as long as anything else I have used in the last year, Hyper X Tour, FT5 Tour, Taylormade Tour Burner, Taylormade Burner, Nike Sumo, Titleist D2. All drivers were 10.5 degree with regular flex shafts. The combination of the D2 and DVS shaft is just about perfect. I don't believe anybody that will hit this setup will look any further for a driver. The feel is solid, not boardy, not firm, just solid, like a perfectly struck forged iron. The shaft performs better than I was hoping, ball jumps off the face and goes right where you want it to. Trajectory is excellent, no ballooning, no worm burners, no dropping like a wet rag at the end of the ball flight. This driver is every bit as long as the Hyper X and maybe a tad bit further. The feel, sound, look, and weighting are much more pleasing than the Hyper X, or anything else on the market for that matter. I played this driver with Aldila VS Proto and NVS and it didn't feel or play anything like it does with the DVS. Try this setup it is great, or at least consider the DVS for your current or next driver, this is the greatest shaft on the market. I have also tried lots of shafts in drivers, Grafalloy, Graphite Design, Fujikura, UST, and other Aldilas. First shaft I can honestly say is remarkably different and lives up to or exceeds the advertising claims.

Customer Service

Titleist is very good, and the number of shafts available without an upcharge is what all major manufacturers should offer but don't. Special order, DVS at 44.5 inches and different grip took only two days to receive from date of order.

This has to be the worst driver I've ever tested. No feel, clunky, and sounds like a tin can. Thank god I did not purchase first.

Customer Service

I've never needed them, but being the large company they are I'm sure its sub par. Yes, pun was intended.

ALL top products. Ping G10 is what a driver should be. I'm glad I have the income and the luxury to try everything my heart desires. That being said, I will try more Titleist in the future and see if they've improved.

Recently purchased this driver to replace my aging 983k. The 983 has been a wonderful driver but I felt that I needed to take advantage of some of the newer technology. I tried the Callaway FT-5 and the Ping G10. I tended to keep flaring the FT-5 out to the right and I didn't care for the sound. When I picked up the Titleist, it felt like an old friend, and I immediately began to hit it solid and long. I loved the sound it made and it set up for me perfectly. I took it on a golf trip this past week and I drove the ball more consistently than I had all season. This is a great driver and I would recommend it without hesitation. Solid feel, great ball flight, and improved distance. This one will stay in the bag for some time to come. I also purchased it for a great price of $175.00. It was a win win situation.

Just got fitted for a new driver tonight.

Spent most of my time on the shaft. Launch monitor (and my eyes) told me a Proforce V2 stiff was the one I needed.

I used the shaft in several brands of drivers including Callaway, Taylor Made, Titleist and Ping.

After about 100 balls I was left with the PIng G10 (really good looking club!) and the D2.

After about another 50 balls, my mind was made up, and I put my card in the machine for the Titleist. (Although if the D2 hadn't been invented, I'd have happily walked away with the G10)

I really regret spending hundreds over the years getting "deals" on the internet on clubs that have been plainly wrong for my swing.

I spent a little more tonight ( paying shop premium ) but in that price, I hade an hour on a launch monitor with the pro and store manager. I KNOW I have the right club and shaft for MY swing, and THEN I got a discount!!!!

That, to me is worth a £50 premium on a unseen club off Ebay!!

Try the D2. It feels like a Titleist, and that's all I needed tonight!

Bought the club a little over a year ago and loved it. (CallwayPreOwned for 250) I was extremely forgiving and long. However as my game has progressed I find the closed face (non-tour version) to be annoying and detracts from the club. It make it harder to work the ball, especially on a fade. Additionally, I found the shaft (Fujikara Fit-on 150 Stiff) to be decent at best. Like the club but I dont think it will be around all that much longer, mainly due to the closed face.
