I have had this driver for about 6 months and love it. It has 8.5* loft with a proforce gold 65 stiff shaft in it. When caught out of the middle it's trajectory is low and long. As this club's ball flight is a reflection of your swing I would only recommend id to people who have a good, rhythmic swing with a bit of club head speed (there is nothing worse than watching someone with a bad swing try and hit this club). Hits out of the heel go nowhere but hits from the toe seem to go just as far from center hits. Overall this is a good club for good golfers.

Customer Service

Not very good manufacturing! Where the shaft meets the sole of the club (where the plug is) there is a gap between the metal and the plastic and dirt and grass often gets in there.

I absolutely love this driver! The straightest hitting driver I have ever hit. I don't believe this is a club for low handicap players only. It will not punish toe or heel hits, as bad as other drivers I have tried, but works these shots back into play very nicely. To me, it is every bit as long as my TISI (to be sold BTW) and in a class by itself for looks and sound. Do yourself and your game a favor, try it,get one to fit you, buy it and don't look back.

Customer Service

None personally, but I have heard all good reports from those who have dealt with them.

This club changed the way i play golf.
I'm 14 and hit the ball around 260 normally. I was thinking about getting a Ping, I decided on this after three rounds where i missed 3 total fairways. This club is very consistent and classic looking.

Great club for anyone with a decent swing. Better feel then other drivers that have that spring effect to them (i.e. callaway, taylor made). I have gained about 20-30 yds. using this club.

I am a 5 handicap with great iron play and simply awful with a driver. Until now.

I play titliest irons and wedges but never tried the 975D as I read about how hard it was to hit. I spent 3 hours trying out different drivers on a simulator and bought the 975D 7.5 degree Ultralite 65 shaft. Ironically I had much better trajectory with the 7.5 than the 8.5 or 9.5.

I actually like the stock shaft that most people complain about. The low flex point creates a soft feel which combined with the very solid feel of the head is a great match for me. I have never hit anything straighter. Distance wise I have gained about 20 yards over my ISI and have even hit a few well over the 300 mark. I probably hit the TISI 300 but 75 of that was in the wrong direction.

I was also supprised how forgiving this club is. I have hit a few well off centre and lost only a little distance and did not generate any severe hooks or slices. Which to me is a new experience.

As far as workability.. I never really try to work a driver. I am left handed and have a tendency to hit a draw (irons only.. until now) with an inside-out swing. So for most places this is fine. Although I would think hitting a fade with this club maybe a little difficult as the face does seem closed.

If you have been scared off by all of the reviews of this club ( like I was ) give it a try.

I played a Ping TISI, and tried the Taylor Made 300,320,360 (all have a very "thin" feel to them. 320 for me created a balooning trajectory), Ping I3, Callaway Steelhead Plus and Hawkeye VFT as well as the Mizuno Forged. Much to my supprise I hit the Titltest the best.

Not the longest club out there, but so reliable - I tend to hit low and to draw the ball, so need a 10.5* loft, however this driver still gives a boring flight. It is workable, accurate and instills much confidence. Compared to my Talyor Mades it is light years better, especially from the Firesole which I could not get on with.

I absolutley love this driver. Its the 8.5 975d with a 7.0 rifle shaft in it. I got a 7.0 cut to 44 inches. I got it a bit stiffer than i normally do, because i contacted royal precision and they said the ideal length for their driver steel shaft is 43 inches, so i added some stiffness to account for the extra inch. All i can say is wow. People told me that i was going to lose yardage by going to steel, but for some reason, i hit this driver longer than any i have hit before. No kidding 285-300 every time, easy to hit straight, and i get a perfect fade with the shot. I highly recommend this club for the better player seeking a long workable driver

Like many of the reviewers here, I,too, appreciate the 975D, but there is a stock shaft from Titleist that doesn't get much mention yet perfoms better for me than the Grafalloy and others mentioned in reshaft reviews...it is the Select graphite. This sahft is about 92 grams with a mid flexpoint and a torque of 2.8. The regular flex frquencies at about 6.2 and the stiff at about 7.0. If you're not going to special order a 975 and like a heavier shaft,I would highly recommend demoing the Select Graphite stock shaft.
