Some say that this club is only for low handicappers. I also have a GBB 10* which I happy with. Saw this club on a 2nd hand store and bought it (previously has the stock regular flex). I planned to have it reshafted with an EI-70 but had my GBB changed first and ended up with the Dynamic Gold S300. Had it cut to 43.5 inches and WOW!... loved it!! High handicappers like me, dont be afraid to test this club. I did not give up on my first 2 rounds. A couple of practices at the driving range just helped me be in love with this club. Try one and you'll never regret it. Truly one of the B.E.S.T.!!!

This is simply the best Driver I have used to date! I was hitting a 10.5 degree Steelhead M10 shaft that I loved approximately 240-250 with my best swing, but it doesn't compare to the 975D 9.5 degree with a Graffaloy 3.5 S. I am consistently hitting a lower shot 260-275 straight down the middle. This wasn't love at first site though, it took about 4 rounds and a lot of balls at the range, but once I learned how to hit this club, it has made me a better player. I currently play to a 12 handicap, but it's getting lower everyday. I initially tried the stock stiff shaft and absolutely hated the club. I kept reading reviews about the different shafts so I tried the Graffloy 3.5 S and it really suits my game. I never thought a shaft could make such a big difference, but I am sold. I now have more control and workability. Off center hits travel a good distance, but it's not as forgiving as comparable models. I have complete confidence in this club. The harder I swing, the better it feels. I feel this club will be most appreciated by someone who is a consistent ball striker and has the ability to work the ball at will. I like this shaft so much, I changed to the 3.5 S on my Ping i3 Fairway metal. Good Luck!

Model Reviewed: 975D w/Grafalloy Prolite (s)

Used to play a 9 degree Callaway Hawkeye with UST shaft (UST shaft helped a lot compared to stock shaft). However, an 8.5 degree Titleist 975D with a Grafalloy Prolite shaft (s) is another story (although not cheap here in Denmark). Ball flight is flatter and much more boring. It's also long, straight (but workable), and quite forgiving (more than most people would think). To top it off, it's the most pleasing driver to the eye out there with classic clean looks. My driver of choice for a very long time to come.

This club is for a golfer of all abilities. However, the higher handicapped should consider investing in the 975J released in Summer 01. This is the longest and straightest club I have ever hit in my life. I used to have a slice but this club seems to have eliminated it.

This driver is for strong players simply because it is heavy. Don't use the stock shaft I tried them and they suck! Once I got mine fitted with Graffolly shaft this driver is sweet. By the way if u don't like the feel of this driver at first be patient. This baby takes a little getting used to. One more point of advise : since this club has no offset (ala Callaway) u will need a stronger grip. Once u tamed this driver u can rip it as hard as u want. It's loooooong and straight (yes it's that long)
Good investment u probably wouldn't want another driver for a long time.

Well, after having my GBB for so long i knew it would be hard to top, and I still havent. The Titleist's smooth appearence has nothing to do with it's heavy unresponsive feel, and dead sound. I want a club that screams to everyone within 5 holes that i ripped one! The Titleist doesnt, however it offers good distance, about the same as the GBB, but not as forgiving, and equally as workable. I'll stay with the GBB

This club is superb in all areas. When I look down at this club on the tee, it screams HIT ME!!! For me, I can swing as hard as I want with out fear of over swinging. The harder I swing the farther the ball goes. This club fits my swing much better than the Ping, plus I hit it just as far but so much straighter.

Hands down this is the BEST DRIVER you can use at this time. How do you think Tiger won the grandslam. But seriously, there is no other solid feeling, accurate, long driving driver then this. I am using EI-70 Stiff shaft 9.5degree driver and I just love hitting this club. The ball has that Protracteory flight everytime I hit. In summary, When you have Tiger Woods, David Duval, Davis Love III, Sergio Garcia, Greg Norman and many Pro using it, You know you are hitting the BEST!

I feel that this driver is the best driver for me. I have been playing golf since I was 7 and have used all kinds of drivers. From the original Taylor Made, to Calloway and Adams. I have never hit a ball straighter or with a better trajectory. The ball jumps off of the face. On average I probably get another 15 yards. I would say that going from an Adams SC with 9 degrees of loft to 8.5 degrees of loft has something to do with it. But, the 975D feels solid, has great swing weight, and the EI 70 stiff shaft has taken the fade out of my drives. I read all of the bad reviews that people give to clubs and balls and offer this thought. If you shoot in the 80's, 90's or 100's you will find it very difficult to see any large differences in clubs or balls because your swing is inconsistant. That is unless you go from Wilson 1200LT to Titleist 990 irons. If I am a good golfer and want to look at peoples opinions, I would look at only those who play around my scoring average.
