I just purchased the 975D with the Grafalloy Prolite 3.5 stiff shaft. The head is an 8.5 loft. I switched from super adx Yonex 9.5. I have only been able to hit at the range so far but when you catch a good one it bores out long and flat, very nice trajectory. Very solid at impact. I read reveiws saying it was hard to hit it to the right(slice) which I did not really beleive but it is true. I have hit more straight shots or draws than ever, I just hope it holds up on the course. The only negative is that on my misses the ball goes low and left(duck hookish). It is definitley a players club, but I feel that it is a club that once I get used to will be a keeper. If anyone has similar experience with this loft, shaft, flex, etc. I would like to hear from you to compare notes.

The best driver that I have ever hit. It sends it on a long, penetrating ball flight with lots of run. If possible you must buy this driver.

The best customer service I have experienced.

I just sold my Ping TISI, as I hit it too high (but it was still super long!) I tried the Titleist last year, but with the ultralight Reg. shaft. I did not like the shaft. I finally found a 975D with the Pro series shaft, the Grafalloy Stiff. This makes all the difference in the world on this driver! I am hitting it longer that the Ping, and keeping it out of the wind. I took it out today, and eagled a par 5, birdied 3 par-4s, and had several more birdie opportunities. What a difference....the 975D, and short irons. Even hit toward the toe seem to draw back into the fairways. No more skyed shots. This club is very, very long. I know that it is going 20 yards past the TISI drives, which were very long. It is well worth the money.

Customer Service

I currently play Titleist 981s, Vokeys, Scotty Cameron putter...all Titleist equipment, and have found it to be the best out there. The manufacturer takes care of any problems very promptly, and returns club via air freight, no charge! Excellent service.

This maybe ok if you can hit the sweet spot on all your shots but it has no forgiveness what so ever. I would go Great Big Bertha or The Taylor Made Ti Bubble 2

I purchased this driver because of the looks and feel. I tried the 976R, hated it....so I got this one. I think it's a great driver and has great forgivability. I have hit some incredible bombs that I felt I missed. I will say that the shaft that came in this club was too light and whippy for me and I reshafted it with the shaft that I did like...The Tour Select in the 976R. Now this club is ready for this season. I will say that I did not need another driver since I had a Taylor Made Tour Forged 7.5 W/TS-100 Shaft. The only thing that I have to say is that this club will have to hit a lot more fairways in order to take the TM our of the bag...(See my review on the TM Tour Forged and see why)....But overall this club is awesome as well.

This is the Best club I own. I can hit my drives off the tee 300+ yards, in the middle of the fairway all the time. It has been a real asset to my golf bag, and never leave home without it in my bag..... All golfers should at least try this Driver..

This driver has been in my bag for almost a year. My favorite trick prior to the Titleist was a snap hook into the reeds. But this baby keeps me in the fairway and now my favorite trick is seeing how much backspin I can get on my wedge to the green in regulation.

I'm standing in front of greens with a wedge. Used to need a 4 iron from behind the trees. This driver has made golf fun again. Now if I could just find a magic wedge...

I'm now driving the ball consistantly straighter and the sound of contact is distintctively crisp. At first the stiff shaft felt like a regular flex, but it's easy to get used to the new feel when the ball flys so straight. It's the best driver I've ever hit and I've test hit quite a few.

Ditto for all the positives said about this club. I did encounter a problem however. Through swapping and generous store return policy, I've had three 975 Ds. On each club, the plastic insert above the hosel worked loose and up the shaft (select ultralite). This shouldn't happen on a $400 club.
