I happenned to get this club for my 16th birthday. Now I had a TopFlite driver and HATED it!!! For a year I used a Big Bertha 3 wood off the tee. Well I am stronger now and I needed a driver. I looked at this one and knew that this is the club. I can BOMB this club... 250+ The sweet spot is huge and incredibly forgiving. The shaft(standerd Titleist shaft/ stiff) seems very nice. I do not like the grip however and as soon as I get enough money, it will be changed. This club may seem like a lot of money but it is worth every penny. Now if only I could hit my 3 iron as well =) Similar Products Used: TopFlite |

This is a great driver! I previously tried the Taylor Made Fire Sole and HATED IT!! It sounded like I was hitting the ball with a 2x4! So I switched to the 975D and it was the best move of my short golfing career. The X-stiff shaft is still too ""whippy"" for my swing so I've decided to go with a EI-70 tour stiff shaft and I will be set. This club is a monster with a piercing ball flight! i thik that this is the greatest club on the market, i went from hitting the ball 220 yards to almost hitting it 285 yards, thats a 65 yard distance, which is huge if you are not a long hitter. the feel is wonderful, and it sounds great. but don't jusrt take my advicetry one out for your self! Similar Products Used: the taylor made ti- bubble 2, the club head was too big it made it very hard to get up in the air, but you did get a lot of roll. Great Big Bertha was a desent club but you hit it too with not alot of roll like a 3 wood. |

I was very suprised when I hit this driver. I have been looking for several years for a driver I could control and still get respectable length. I settled on the GBB but the first few swings with the 975d 9.5deg with Stiff Grafalloy shaft won me over. I have played three rounds with it now and actually smile at the drives I hit. Great club! After a long selection process, my club pro finally stuck this club in my bag to give it a try. Not only did it meet my needs as a consistently long club, but it allowed me to shape my shots like never before. My ball flight is regularly high, so this club, as the manufacturer said, delivered a more piercing trajectory on my drives, which added at least 10-15 yds. of roll to each drive. After purchasing this club (which i received in a week...very speedy), I began to see lower and lower numbers go in the computer, and eventually onto a couple trophies. 975D 9.5 w/Graffalloy shaft
The Driver is FINALLY in my bag. Had to wait a month after purchasing it because the shaft was backordered at the factory. I chose the 975D because of all the good reviews posted here. Very expensive considering I never hit it before!(Don't try this at home kids.) I've gotten a chance to play a couple of times and hit the range once. I was amazed! All of the reviews said you need to be a ""good"" player to have a chance at this club. This was not the case. (Glad I let the guy at the golf shop talk me into this one!) Compared to the TM Persimmon driver I was using...the 975 is extremely forgiving. A few fades, a few draws...but no major hooks or slices for me. This is pretty impressive considering my tendency to play the second shot off the wrong fairway. You do need to swing well to use this club but isn't this true of any driver? The flight of the ball itself is wonderful. I almost regretted not getting an 8.5 but after hitting the 9.5 I knew I had chosen the right loft for me. A very nice, distance eating trajectory..not high and not too low. (I'm not going to bore you with the boring analogy again!) The Graffalloy makes a big difference in this club. The flex is at mid point and it has a nice feel to it. My swing speed is 105 or so and this shaft matches up well. Distance? Distance is good! Comparable or superior to any high price tag Ti out there. (I have hit the Ping TISI and this club feels longer to me) The feel of the club itself is great. It has some weight behind it unlike most Ti drivers out there. You can really track the head throughout the swing. The look of the driver is excellent and the quality is probably the best I've seen on a driver. It still looks like it belongs in a box. The one thing that took some getting used to is the sound of the driver. Rather then the Bling you get with a Callaway Bertha (Big,Bigger,Biggest whatever) you get more of a Twhap! Whatching the ball sail down the fairway on a perfect trajectory makes me like that sound a lot! If you have never hit a 975D before....take your first opportunity to do so. Be sure to get the right shaft and loft for your game though! I didn't do this but got lucky...I need to buy the guy at the pro shop who recommended the club/shaft combination to me a beer. The Graffalloy and EI-70 shafts are now standard on the club. Don't believe your game doesn't measure up to this club! Try it! Maybe the ""better"" golfers want to keep their advantage and their secret to themselves...who knows. This is by far the best driver I ever owned. Customer Service Had to wait 5 painful weeks for the club to show up from the factory. The shaft had been backordered. This is a true players club. I play with many excellent golfers, and almost without exception everyone plays this club. I have owned many other drivers, and while the distance of this club is incredible, the feel of this club is the selling point. Nice boring trajectory with the 8.5 loft. The weight feels heavier than most newer drivers which I prefer and the extra distance I have picked up doesn't hurt my feelings. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made Firesole, Callaway Bertha, Founders Club |

Excellent feel. What I like best is the penetrating ball flight--the ball flies much lower to the ground compared to other drivers I tried. I just keeps going. But not only that, but I get a long roll as well. The feel is solid and the club was definitely made for the more advanced golfer. It's not as easy to hit as other drivers, but when you hit the ball right, the ball takes off. I love it. Customer Service Snapped the shaft right by the head. It's being sent back to Titleist by an authorized dealer and reshafted/regripped for free. Similar Products Used: Firesole, Hawkeye, Ping. |

Long and Accurate. Currently I average over 300 yards with the 975D. Won a long drive contest with a 354 yarder. I have never been in awe of a golf club in 38 years until this one came along. Even more impressive than the distance is the accuracy. I have improved to hitting an average of 12 fairways each round.
