Titleist 975J Drivers

Titleist 975J Drivers

DESCRIPTION

A new 300cc Prototype Driver... the 975J has been seen in many Tour bags early in '01. Very similar look to its wildly popular predecessor the 975D. Just slightly larger and with a different look to the face... scoreing lines are placed in an "insert" look a'la the Callaway GBB. ~CB

as with all of titleist clubs, they have another winner, this is a great club, i have the 975d now, but i dont beleive its worth the money difference to trade. It hits a little higher and possible a little longer, but for my money the d will stay in the bag

WOW, deffinately has a different feel off the Tee then the 975D. Has more of a Ting sound. The ball flight is higher. The head is amazingly similiar to the 975D, so no adjustment had to be made. Seems to be 15 yards longer then the 975d. Sometimes I can hook the 975D, didn't have any problems so far with the 975J. Definately the best driver on the market.

Hit the club today for the first time (demo). I currently play the TM 320 now and hit the ball 285-300 yards with each of these clubs consistently.

The 975J goes where you point it. I used the 8.5 with a S-XS light Titleist shaft. The first few shots were warm-up and then it was off to the races. I could swing as hard as possible as the club is fairly forgiving. High launch/low spin, thin face etc. The sound was a dull thud like the 975D and it felt very solid like the D. This club is very expensive and will make Titleist a lot of money. It seems like a very good/great club and would be good for a high or low handicap golfer depending on the shaft/loft configuration.

I traded my 975d in for this driver and it was a 6.5, titleist says that you should up one degree in loft so i did i wish i didnt, ball flight is higer with the j than the d, but i belive that is suppose to, overall it is alot more forgiving i have never been able to swing a club so hard, and the distance i really cant tell much difference right now because of all the rain, course is really soft, but it was worth the trade, i just wish i waited tell the 6.5 comes out.

Great Driver. Definetely more solid feeling than the 975D and more forgiving. Has a sweeter feel, very pure oncenter hits. Performs better than the closed faced VFT and Taylor Made 320 and 360 drivers. Highly Recommend!! Prices tags above $400 are getting ridiculous though.

I was waiting for this driver for a while and I am disappointed. It does not go further than a 975D. It has an akward feel. I hit my steel shafted 975d a lot better. Hard to work the ball. Weird impact feel. The only thing it has is that it is more forgiving than the D. Other than that it's not worth it.

Great club, more forgiving than the 975D, and longer too. Although maybe a bit more difficult to work the ball than with the 975D, the other advantages made it a much better club.

Only got to demo it, but as soon as it comes out i am buying it. Hit it longer than any other club out there and is forgiving. Was hitting range balls about 250 into the wind. I had a titleist ultralight 60 regular shaft that i didn't like and it was 9.5 degrees, i would have preferred a 8.5 degree driver with a Proforce Gold 65 S shaft. Was hitting it slightly longer and straighter than the 975D, my old favorite driver

This club looks good at address. The large head gives me confidence to drive the ball long. It feels really solid at imapct and gives me 15 yards extra distance.

Customer Service

I had to call MacLeod Scotland and order a new headcover as the one I was supplied with had discolouration around the top seem. MacLeod Scotland replaced the headcover no problem.
