Had the Taylor Made 320 before, but I really couldn't shape my shots consistantly. So I tried out the 975J and I must say it´s a lot better. The distance (260 carry) I get is about the same as with the 320, but the trajectory is not as high. Think I´ll stick with this club for a long time... Love it! Go and see for yourself and test it out, any local driving range should have a demo available. Good time to buy whne the prices are coming down. And remember when buying a club, the shaft is the most important part of your decision. By the way, dont you love all the ppl here claiming 300+ drives. Well all b/s aside i was driving on an avg 250-260 and after the J i do notice a difference of about 10-15 yds longer like so many other reviewers have stated. Good luck and when it comes down to it you need to put in your own time and find whats right for you. Does anyone have any ideas what to do, now that winters here? Customer Service Good, if you get a good rep. Similar Products Used: Callaway vft, Ping IST, etc etc etc |

I have just borrowed the 975J from a friend and man it is awesome. Ive hit all but two fairways in the past 27 holes. I have a little slice with it now, but im gettin the VS and heard it is sweeter than the J. Plus it will make me draw it a lil better. Where else can you get an absolutely awesome club with an even cooler looking headcover. Customer Service none yet Similar Products Used: J, Ping TIsi Tec-Clanky when hit bad and a ear-piercing sound! Callaway Hawkeye, E.R.C., C4, and other various cheap products from my friends' bags! |

I am 16 years old and only weigh about 118 lbs. I can hit this club about 250 yards consistently. Of course every shot isn't perfect but even bad shots go fairly far.. I thought I lost my drives. This club fixed them all. It feels great. Definitely the best driver I've ever hit. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made 360, Taylor Made Bubble Burner, Callaway C4 |

Picked up a 975J to replace my 975D. Am more than pleased. I got plenty of distance with the 975D, but was too inconsistent with the shaft, which was a Tiltleist Ultralight 60. It was too sensitive to a consistent swing speed. A little fast and you hit it open. Don't get me wrong, I loved my 97D and hit it very well, but not as consistent as I wanted. My 975J has a UST Proforce 75 in it. Couldn't be happier. Much more consistent. Can control my draws and fades much better. The dispersion pattern is much more centered. Exactly what I needed. Oh, and if you hit it flush, it is probably 10 - 15 yards longer than my 975D. As many reviewers before me have stated, shaft is everything. Customer Service Used customer service a couple times with other Titleist clubs for reshafting, etc. Prompt and courteous and reasonable charges. Similar Products Used: ERC, 975D, Hawkeye |

Recently purchased the Titleist 975J driver and absolutly love it. It is 10-12 yards longer then any other driver I tried. It has a sweet spot and is very easy to control. I strongly suggest picking one up. |

975JVS
My sincere thanks to all the reviews posted by the other 975J (JVS) owners, it was infinitely helpful in my final decision to go with this club!. In a nutshell, it's an EXCELLENT club that is very forgiving, long and very consistent!. I didn't even need to get used to it initially since it felt perfect right out the box (which is very rare). I own and have used Callaway's GBB ( a decent but average club) and the ERC II (long but inconsistent). The ERC II did more damage than good because it really started to give me grief to the point where I couldn't even go back to the GBB to fix my driving ills!. A friend let me try his new 975 JVS with a stiff speeder shaft and it was solid gold immediately!. Before going out to purchase the 975JVS, I wanted to wait and hit the new TM R5 series but I'm a lefty and they haven't released these versions yet. The clincher do dive in and forget about waiting for the TM happened a week later when I borrowed my friends club for an industry tournament and the results were the same!. My drives were long, straight and in the fairway and despite the recent rage on the R5 series product, it appeared that there were some tepid responses regarding the R5 among both the golfreview readers and others I spoke to. After rationalizing what to do, it occurred to me that the 975JVS would probably work better for me when I WASN"T swinging my best and could keep my driving together at those critical times; therefore, the decision became eliminatory. I ordered and recently received the 8.5 degree using the Fujikura Speeder shaft in stiff flex and I absolutely couldn't be happier. My sincere thanks to Titleist for making such a tremendous product!. Similar Products Used: Callaway GBB and ERC II |

Titleist 975J VS
I had the 975J 9 degree with a graffaloy 35 stiff shaft. Stepped up to a 8.5 degree VS with a Speeder (stiff). Wow! I had no idea I was leaving an average of 15 yards in the bag and a lot more than that when I really go after it. Even more importantly, the Speeder shaft really does "like straight" as some others have mentioned. The thing I noticed about the Speeder is that you really have to commit and make a good swing. Not for anyone swinging under 105mph. Similar Products Used: 975J |

Titleist 975 JVS
Titleist 975 JVS is BY FAR the best driver I ever have touched in last 20 years. And I have to emphasize that I am a diplomat and I am NOT payed by Titleist. During the last 10 years I have tried several drivers – according to the fashion and hope that I shall find the club matching perfectly my swing. This experience is common among many golfers. I played Callaway´s Big Bertha, Taylor Made Burner, Callaway Great Big Bertha, Mizuno Forged Titanium, Orlimar Deepface, Taylor Made 320 Ti. Finally I found myself over the “collection” of clubs, each delivering some good stuff and some crapy results. I might be crazy to look for a new driver with a guest room full of idle drivers, but anyway, I have ordered a new Titleist 975 JVS from PaylessGolf.com that is a very reliable source of “web” purchases. I have bought 10.5 degree loft with FUJIKURA Speeder graphite shaft Regular stiffnes. I think I have some conclusions that could be useful for many golfers of my category (I am 48 years old, my HCP is 15 and I play for it and my swing a little bit slower that average). - SOUND: Titleist 975 JVS has a fantastic, solid and confidence-building sound, very far from the horrible, crapy high pitched sounds of many “fancy” titanium drivers of these days. - BALANCE: With Titelist 975 JVS, when you waggle the club before the swing, you get the subliminar message that the head is a serious piece of material that is capable to move the ball a mile. Majority of “high end” clubmakers come now with “light” and “ultralite” versions of drivers. Where is the points? If you need to hit a big nail, you are not going to take an “ultralite” hammer . Are you? - SIZE: When Titleist 975 JVS feels like a “ball crushing” stick in your hands, the size of the head looks relatively small and very easy to swing, accelerate and control. This is very important since I am convinced that there are many mid-handicapers who really do NOT like huge heads of drivers but still would like a benefits of reasonably big head. - TRAJECTORY: Titelist gives an official add information that JVS driver is for “stronger players”. Nobody really knows who is a “stronger player”. My swing is a little bit slower than average and I like to play precision game. Still JVS is a great club for me. It shoots the ball with the medium high and penetrating trajectory – what else do you need ? This club really likes straigh Customer Service I strongly recommend the PaylessGolf.com as a reliable source of web purchases. Similar Products Used: Ping Ti, TM 300 and 5 line, Mizuno Froged Ti |
