Zero Tolerance Crown Jewel Maxima 300 Drivers

Zero Tolerance Crown Jewel Maxima 300 Drivers

DESCRIPTION

This attractive club promotes a sense of confidence at address. It produces a higher ball trajectory than Spectra and has a long ball flight. At impact the feel produced is soft and solid, with a clear high pitch sound. The head size is perfect for those looking for a club with a large sweet spot without the large appearance at address.

Club specifications: 300 Maxima 9* with x-stiff Proforce Gold 65 shaft at overall length of 44.5" (swinghweight D3). Player tendencies: swing speed around 115, straight ball flight, driver carry around 260yrds. Review: Received the club in the mail and it was beautiful. Best looking driver I have ever laid eyes on. Plays solid. Gives you what you puy into it. For me it is as long as or longer than any other club. Solid at impact and ball leaves hot with nice trajectory and hits ground running. Face seems pretty much square so if you nromally hit draw, fade, or straight ball this driver will give you same result. The 300 maxima head is very compact for 300cc and performs excellent. The key thing to do is match it up with the right shaft for your swing. If that is accomplished you will be very satisfied! THIS CLUB IS STAYING IN MY BAG....

Customer Service

EXCELLENT! Ronnie Barnett at rjclubamker.com built the club after I provided him with the club specifications. Beautiful craftsmanship and cheapest price I found! Highly recommend him for yor next cus

My Maxima 330= 0.5* closed face, 8* loft with Rifle 6.0 steel shaft @ 44", Lamkin Crossline Soft Cord grip.   Appearance: Stunning.  A beautiful blue.  Doesn''t appear gaudy or too big, but definitely confidence inspiring.  Most of the volume comes from the deep face.  Quality, fit, and finish are second to none (O.E.M. or component).  The gold alignment mark on the crown was never a problem for me.  In fact, I like it.   Performance:  Before ever hitting a single ball, I noticed that the club had a great dynamic feel.  During practice swings, I could really feel the weight of the head.  I was able to track the head throughout the entire swing.  Because of this I found it a little easier to hit a draw (something that I usually have to work a little harder for).  I''m not implying that this club is draw biased, I was still able to hit my normal flight pattern.  The trajectory is a little higher than some, but not in a negative way.  The ball soared, or even had a high boring (if that makes any sense)flight, but never ballooned.  Even with a higher flight, roll was perfectly acceptable.  The Maxima 330, (and I hate to sound cliche''), is one of the longest I have tried.  With that being said, it is definitely the most consistent and forgiving, two very important attributes to be considered in conjunction with distance.   Feel & Sound: The Maxima 330''s feel at impact is very solid and with substance, almost a "deep" sort of feel, yet still maintains a "hot" feel.  Perfect!  The sound is not very "tingy" sounding, but there is some metal high pitched ring to it.  In all honesty I believe that what little ting sound that I hear is actually the club head clipping the tee.   I was very pleased with this club''s performance and John at Zero Tolerance.  Exceptional customer service and John''s response to e-mails and courteous phone conversations will definitely have me doing business with Zero Tolerance again.  And Yes, this club is definitely in the bag, unseating my perfectly good Ping i3 9* diver.

Basics: I got a 9* head that is 1* closed on a ProForce 65 regular shaft trimmed to firm. The club is 45" long with a Winn grip. APPEARANCE - This head is gorgeous -- a real work of clubmaking beauty. And even though it is 330cc it does not look that big at address. In fact the size is such that it gave me a very confident feel from the first time I teed it up. FEEL/SOUND - The only word to describe it is solid. Even hits off the toe are not harsh. There is plenty of feed back but it doesn''t diminish your confidence. DISTANCE - This driver is easily 20+ yards longer than other drivers I have used. I usually have a high ball flight, but with this club the trajectory was more boring. I was routinely hitting it 245+ on solid hits according to the driving range markers. FORGIVENESS - This club is very forgiving. I have to admit to hating to hit the driver in the past. I never could seem to find a club that I felt confident with. Not so with the 330. It is just hard to hit it really bad. Overall: I fell in love with this thing from the very beginning. It''s definitely a keep for me.

John Lee has another winner with the Maxima 330. Specs: The one I am using is a 9* with a 0.50* open face. I opted for the new Grafalloy Prolite EX Distance shaft in stiff flex. I trimmed the shaft to 44" and swingweighted the club to D3. Appearance: Beautiful navy blue head. The 330 is a nice size head...big enough but not too big. The face is deep which instills confidence and allows you to tee it high and let it fly. I really like the look of this head. Ballflight: Medium trajectory and a nice roll. The Grafalloy shaft has a softer tip than their original Prolite which provided a nicer feel and I believed it promoted a slightly higher trajectory. Sound: This is important to me and to most golfers. The sound of the 330 is a nice "Crack". It''s not as solid and satisfying as my 975D, but it is so much nicer than most large titanium heads that sound either like a frying pan or a garbage can lid. Distance: When hit it on the screws the Maxima 330 was as long as anything I have played, which is a very long list. Quality: As with every ZT club I have tried the Maxima 330 is top drawer. I believe ZT''s quality is on par with the best of the OEM''s. Overall Assessment: I have many drivers and trade often. This one will stay in the arsenal for a while. I like the look, the sound and the performance. I am very fond of my good ole 975D, but this club is fun. I was able to tee the ball really high and swing for the fences. I''d highly recommend it to a wide range of golfers.

I received my 10* 330 w/SLT-60 R @ 44.5" this past Friday. Took it out for a range session and 9 holes today. My review is prefaced by stating that I am having John reshaft this club with the heavier XLT-70 R. Here''s my impressions: Vitals: 29 yrs. old, 5''10", 203 lbs., 20 handicap. Smooth swinger @90-95 mph. Typical shot patterns are straight to fade. APPEARANCE - The most aesthetically pleasing driver head I''ve owned. The deep blue is confidence inspiring. The gold alignment aid is helpful to me, not a distraction. FEEL/SOUND - Feel/sound are both solid. Very responsive when hit in the center. Not uncomfortable on mis-hits. DISTANCE - Solid center hits produce boring, mid-trajectory shots that carried 240 and rolled another 10-15 yds. Mis-hits were not severely punished on distance, about 10 yds on the heel/toe areas. A few really good hits carried over 230, couldn''t account for the distance in roll. FORGIVENESS - Very forgiving. Given the lighter, more flexible shaft than my usual setup, I expect the forgiveness to be more impressive with a better fit shaft. This club will stay in my bag for sure. Once I get the properly fitted shaft in this head, it will be deadly!

Customer Service

Excellent. Very responsive to customer needs.

Player Summary: 45yo 12 Hcp Driver Swingspeed 101-104 After seeing positive reviews of Zero Tolerance Products at this site and at Golfclubreview.com, I decided to build a driver with a ZT head. I built the club with a Precision Rifle 6.0 85 gram graphite shaft. The head weight was 201 gm and this allowed an ideal D2 swingweight at my preferred length of 44". I have had very little success with 45" drivers. I have played 5 round and had 2 range sessions with this club. I wanted a 300-330 cc head for forgiveness, but did not want a head that looks huge at address. The Maxima 330 works out extremely well in this regard--It has a tall face but is not huge in the dimensions you see at address. Head shape reminds me of Cleveland Launcher. Finish and cosmetics are excellent, (equal or better than any other driveer I have seen) and non painted sole plate will look good for a long time. The beta ti face is grooveless in the center and resists scratching. I can see faint dimple marks on the surface after most drives giving me built-in impact tape. I have found the driver to be very forgiving on off center hits. Some distance is lost, but off center impacts often find the fairway or first cut. The club/shaft combination feels great and I definitely prefer it to the Dynacraft/Prolite 35 combo I had used in the past. I am not good at describing sounds, but this one is very pleasing at impact. Distance with the 44" shaft has been quite good. I have not used any OEM drivers for comparison. I have not had enough on course experience to judge the club''s true distance potential. ( can''t believe range balls :->)My well struck drives carry about 250 with this club and sub 500 yard par-5''s are within range with a good drive. Ball trajectory is medium, the deep face does not cause any difficulty in getting ball up off a tee. I have not tried from fairway, but would not expect much given the design. Club is staying in the bag

Review on the Maxima 300 Facts on me: Handicap – 8.9 Age – 50 Weight – 150 Height – 5’ 8” Swing Tendencies – Play the straight ball, sometimes with a little draw. When I miss though, it is usually straight push or push with a little fade. Driving is one of better parts of my game. Swing Speed – 105 - 110. Specs – 9* Maxima with XLT70 stiff shaft 45.5”. Club face very close to square Tour wrap grip. Appearance – The Maxima is a great looking club. Metallic blue club head with a silver face. Club head is a very comfortable looking 300cc. It has a classical look which enhances your confidence when setting up behind the ball. The quality is second to none. In my opinion it surpasses the original equipment manufactures quality. The shaft is also in the same blue that fades into a darker tone towards the bottom. Performance – This club hits it long. Longer than my KZG MP230. Forgiveness is first rate. When I hit it out towards the toe the ball started out to the right and then bent back into the fairway. When I approached the ball I noticed I got the same distance as a solid shot with my KZG. The KZG is not a short hitting club, on solid hits I got between 260 and 270 yards. Shots spring off the face of the Maxima with a hot arched mid trajectory that really hits the ground running. I have also found this club to be very easy to work right or left. Off center shots hold their line very well and have minimal negative impact on direction and distance. I had no high right shots, which is a tendency of many of the large headed drivers. The shaft performs quite well. It did not feel like a board. You can feel the kick in the shaft but feels smooth throughout the swing. I was not able to overpower the shaft, which can cause duck hooks. When it comes down to it I was hitting 1 to 1½ less club into the greens. Feel – The feel at impact is very solid especially on center hits but also very good on off center hits. The sound is very pleasing and not loud like many titanium drivers, more like a mid pitch sound. The overall balance was perfect for me and was easy to swing. Summary – This driver has replaced my KZG club I had for 2 years. As much as I tried to find a better over that time only the Maxima 300 has replaced it. This club is a true bargain when compared with the other OEM drivers on the market. A great design and very beautiful club that shou

Tried a 10* head, and completely took my 975D out of the bag. The head does not look 30 cc (compared with other 300cc on the market), which I like. Finish is beautifull and blends perfectly with Innovative tour light which is deep blue in color. This driver will produce a constant, long, predictable fade, that has made my driving one of the most accurate parts of my game. Will recommend it to anyone.

After playing multiple rounds with the Penley shafted club I received a second Maxima with the ZT POWER65 shaft and have now played both club/shaft combinations.

Distance was very good for both clubs. Both produce a very nice carry with a medium arching trajectory. The Maxima has a solid sound not extremely loud but solid.

The Maxima has a draw bias to it and corrects heel and toe shots well enough. Toe shots do not lose as much distance as heel shots. Probably about 15-20 yards lost on heel over solid hits with toe somewhere in the 10-15 yd range (average).

When this club is hit on the sweet spot the ball takes off like a bullet. Very satisfying club. Very Long when hit well.

Very atractive club. Maybe the nicest looking club on the market (component or OEM). Very nice pear shaped head and looks comfortable at address.

The POWER65 has a nice mid kick to it with fairly tight dispersion.

I have these and the Spectra and find these much easier to hit than the Spectra. They are not quite as forgiving as the Spectra but what is!.
