I tried several woods in my search for "the one". This one far out performed the others I tried. I tried Cobra, Titliest Taylor Made and so on. I hit this one the most consistently with a combination of distance and accuracy. It was/is great. Takes a little getting used to like with any club, but it's solid. I actually find that I'm able be bring down my ball flight a bit with this club. Go figure. Better than the other Adams lines that were or are out now in my opinion. The 5 wood that is. I would rate it a 5, but it does take some getting used to.

This club is the best fairway wood club I have ever had in my bag. It is so easy to hit and it goes straight and long. This club is not an offset.

Model Reviewed: Ovation 7 wood

This club is pretty good. It allmost goes to high for me. I could never use an Ovation 3-wood, it would go to high and not very far or straight. Anyway, the 7-wood is nice, I can hit it about 220 and right down the middle. The only problem is I cant even think about using this club in the wind. I hit it a mile in the air so a when the wind kicks up I have no chance at being accurate or having any distance control. This club is really for the 85-100 shooters. Those that dont get much distance or height from any of thier woods. You guys and gals can hit this thing long, high, and straight from the tee or fairway. But all you 70 shooters shouldnt write this club off, if you want a club that you can get to go high and land soft and stop on the green from 200+ yards, this is it.

This is realy a great club! I've never hit a 3-wood so long and straight. Love the low-center of gravity feel at bottom of the swing. This is a club that really does the job by itself! Great sound! Takes a bit of time to get used to low-profile head, but once you start hitting the sweet spot, man does the ball take off! Great looking club and cover head. Cheap too!

Model Reviewed: Ovation Offset 3,5,11

Have a friend in the golf business so I get to play with a lot of demo models and trade-ins. First took out the 11 degree to hit from the rough. Loved it. Took a few others to the range and decided upon the the 3,5 and 11. My friend didn't have any of these used, and couldn't sell the demos until the winter, so I went to ebay and got 3 great deals. All were new or mint with head covers, and all were under $60 (including shipping). Currently are selling new for around $120. All have Adila graphite regular shafts. No longer use irons 2-5 and my fairway game has improved. The 11 degree in the thicker grass is terrific. I agree with another reviewer when he says to tee the ball low when driving with these marvels. They have a very low profile. Remember, they are an upside down design so they take some getting used to off the tee, especially if you are using a 440- 460 cc head driver and are accustomed to teeing your ball high. I have used various other fairway woods and hybrids but really like the slim profile of this head and have that all important "confidence factor" when hitting them. I Like those Nike CPR ironwoods (26 and 30) as well (but not the iron version). I had a tendency to 'over-hit' my irons, but find that a nice and easy swing works wonders with these Ovations. Prefer the offset model. Now if I could only get into the 80's!

Model Reviewed: Ovation 3wd stiff shaft

I purchased this very slightly used(the "easy to hit" sticker was still on the face) with a stock Aldila stiff shaft for $69 at a used golf shop after hitting several models into the net. Haven't ever had a 3 wood that I could hit off the ground. This club, at least for me, works exactly as promised. High, sailing shots are very easy from almost any lie. I have also found the club to be very easy to high straight. I have not tried working the ball much, but I believe that it favors a straight shot to a slight fade. I was recently measured for a new driver shaft and have a 103mph swing speed(with my driver). The stock stiff Aldila shaft works fine for me. The only potential complaint is that the trajectory is sometimes too high for my taste(never thought I'd say that about a 3 wood from the turf). However, I havent seen any loss of distance from ballooning, but I do think that it may cost some yardage in the wind if you can't control the trajectory. Also, I agree about the complaints about the grip, but that was easily fixed. The look of the club is very classy and alignment is easy. Club sets up neutral, which I prefer. Even though the club has a low profile head, it doesn't appear as low profile as the older adams woods. Feel is excellent and lively, produces a not-too-bright sound. Overall, the easiest and most fun fairway wood I've ever hit, I would gladly try the other products in the Ovation line-up.

Model Reviewed: Adams Ovation 15 Degree 3 Wood Offset

After reading the great review that club got in the 2005 Golf Digest equipment review (Golf Digest best value), I decided getone off Ebay (15 degree, offset, regular graphite shaft). The club is fairly easy to hit. It takes a little while to get used to the low profile head. If you use it off a tee, make sure you tee it very low (just off the ground) or you will just pop the ball up. The club is very forgiving, and the offset fixes even the worst slice. I have an offset driver (Integra clone) and I still have a hard time keeping the ball straight with it. I haven't used my driver ever since I got my Ovation 3 wood. I just purchased a matching 5 wood off Ebay and am looking forward to try it. The only thing I am not totally happy with is the original grip. It's not bad but I wish it'd be a bit bigger.

Model Reviewed: Adams Ovation 5W

I've always had trouble with fairway woods, even with the original Adams tight lies. I purchased a strong 5W with the regular graphite shaft and imediately had great success with the club. My fairway shots are now longer, straighter and airborne. The club is easy to hit and if it can help me it can help anyone. I recommend it highly, but my only negative is that I have trouble getting good results with the club with a teed ball.

Model Reviewed: ovation 3 wood (non offset)

After reading the Golf Digest Hot List, of which this was a best buy, I had to try it. Got a 15* w/reg flex aldila shaft on eBay for $78 (what a deal). I have had great success with low profile woods before but this club is AWESOME! I am not a long hitter but can carry 200yds with this wood. Great for tight par 4's. This club also hits great from the turf. Great addition to my bag. Reminds me of how great the old warbirds hit, but longer and less effortless.
