Adams Ovation 15 degree 3 wood
I guess I'll take a less than "lively" feeling, in the short grass, righ down the middle, 240 yard drive on a tight par 4 drive any day of the week. While there may be more lively fairway woods, it's hard to beat the consistency and confidence of the Adams Ovation. I've got the stock green Aldila stiff shaft. The club is also gorgeous. Pros: Price. Easy if you need help getting the ball in the air. Very forgiving. Stock shaft is good. Good name (Adams started out with woods). Good ball flight and decent distance. Cons: Feel, is dead. No response. Grip didn't work for me. No workability. Off center hits feel like the club is going to fall apart. Overall: Great club for the price, but if your looking for more feel and workability I would go with something else (I went with the Taylormade V-Steel). Easy to get in the air. I have never really had trouble with my fairway woods, but this club helped me hit the ball father and straighter. I like it a lot. It isn't the best wood i've ever hit, but it sefinately is one of the better ones. Similar Products Used: Taylor Made V-Steel, Titleist 980, Cleveland Launcher |

Adams Idea A1 Irons
I shoot in the 90's and have struggled somewhat with my long irons. I tried the hybrid irons from adams, and immediately noticed an improvement. I used to use my four iron as my 180 club, but with these, my four is my 195, 200 yard club. They are very forgiving and easy to hit. Added at least 10 yards to every club. This 24 degree club hits high and true. It is my go to club for 150+ yards, it is super accurate and the ball stops fairly quickly on the green. I use the regular green aldila shaft which is a super stock shaft for this piece of equipment. The shaft is 75 grams in weight and has a high launch with a Mid Kick. The club head makes it easy to hit from the fairway or the rough, it has a low profile. I have a slower swing speed [88mph]and the tungsten weighting helps get the ball airborne easily. This club is easier to hit than an iron for me. It will remain in my bag until I can learn to hit irons with more confidence from this yardage into the green. Simply sweep the club head and follow through for the best results. A dependable golf club!! Customer Service Adams is very good, and a good web site. Similar Products Used: Yonex Super ADX titanium 9 wood[24 degrees] |

Adams-Ovation Wood
Haven't hit too many types of woods, but no need to search further. The Ovation is pure heaven. I started with the 5, loved it, and then replaced my existing 3 with the Ovation 3. The Adila stock shaft is actually pretty good. The stock grip sux. The Fujikura Vista Pro 70 works EXCELENT with this club. If you top deck shots or have any other problems hitting woods off the deck, go take some lessons. But for those who can hit woods off the fairway consitent, you will see the difference when you thit this club. I won't be replacing my woods for a really really long time. Customer Service none needed. Bought off EBAY. |

Adams Ovation 3-Wood (Offset)
I recently purchased a new Adams Ovation 3-wood on Ebay and I love this club. The offset really helps my ball flight straighten out. This club gets the ball in the air quickly. This club is the perfect addition to my bag, due to the feel and the distance it provides me. |

I too am writing a dissenting opinion on this club. I orginally hit this at a local shop with tape on it. It felt very good on center hits off the mat so I picked one up on Ebay with the Aldila NV regular flex shaft. Out on the course and driving range performance and feel were lacking. I agree with the last reviewer that center hits have a dead felt. Off center felt like the club was coming apart in my hands. The club does have a nice ball flight and good distance. Off center hits lose expected distance. The Aldila shaft is very good (I am a fan of the NV series) but the head is much heavier than a Titleist 980. It is also very hard to work the ball left or right. When hitting the Titleist in the center you can baring feel the ball come off the face and you know instantly you've hit a good shot. The Adams feels heavy even on center hits. I would reccommend the Ovation for someone looking for a cheaper club that needs help getting the ball up in the air and keeping it straight. If you are looking for workability and feel I suggest you move on to Titleist 980 or Mizuno MP series. Customer Service None needed. Adams Ovation
Well, here's a dissenting opion. I tried the stiff version after deciding to get rid of my TM 200, because my swing is getting too fast for regular shaft. I actually hit 3 wood (can't still deal with drivers) 290 yard marker twice in 18 hole around, but unfortunately other pop up too high and landed off fairway or lost distance. Accuracy was becomming a problem. After much praise here, I picked it up and swung away in a simulator. Stiff strong 3 wood with shallow head seemed much like my TM in face size and I like the look of the club. After few swings, I was a bit disappointed. The graphite shaft is too soft for my taste. The shots were poping up too high and felt mush. The head was much more difficult to control when I hit it fat. And I did not get clean hit feeling even when I hit dead center, which may have been due to the tapes. I found McGregor V-Foil much more like to TM200, but I was in for a sticker shock. TM V-steel stiff also felt mush with stock graphite. It was too flexible and light. Steel shaft fared better, but again improvement over TM 200 it was not. In the end I decided to reshaft my TM200 with stiff steel, given that none of the woods that I tried was really better. It's a decent club, but I am not sure it's a great improvement. Customer Service Not too great, based on other experiences. One of the reason, I do not buy Adams until I am sure+. Similar Products Used: TM200, Titliest 980F, McGregor V-Foil, & TM V-steel. |

Ladies Ovation 3 Wood
I am a bit of a golf junkie and I have primarily played Callaway golf clubs. I own the VFT series of fairway woods and have spent a lot of money for them. I need a good, solid 3 wood shot on many of the par 5's and par 4's at my home course. It's a long course for me, and often I need a driver-3 wood combination to get me on the green and hope for a par. So, I tried a variety of 3 woods. I thought I was happy with the SZCobra, but then I put the Ovation in my bag. I cannot tell you how easy it is to hit unless you give it a try yourself. My first hit from the fairway was pure and straight. I have a tendancy to top my fairway wood shots, but with the low profile club head, it seems to swing easier and keeps me from lifting my torso. Consequently, the par 5's are true par 5's for me. I am going to replace my 5 and 7 wood with the Ovations, and probably put my clubs on ebay. I am also considering adding a 9 wood and 11 wood to my bag. Why not? What is the worst that could happen? Great golf is just around the corner! Similar Products Used: VFT Callaway SZ Cobra offset |
