Took the new callaway and the adams on the course. To make a long story short I am overly impressed by the adams st driver. I was driving 240-250. With this driver I am consistently over 275 and hitting 300 yard drive and straight. Also paid 100 bucks less for the adams. My opinion the best driver out there and 100 less in price. Have not hit the five wood but cant see how it would be that bad compared to the driver. Hey Pat, im not far from PA, I'll dust that 5 wood off for you.

Absolutely without a doubt the worst 5 wood I have ever hit. Not only does it sound like sh@t when you hit it is is also very inconsistent when hit. Distance varies between 185-220. This club is garbage and I would not suggest that anyone buys it. I use the Adams Tight Lies tour 13-degree as my driver. I won the ST 5-wood at my company tounament, for long drive. I can bomb the tight lies tour about 255 on a good hit probably average about 230 with this club. I was hoping the ST would prove to be as much a phenominal club as the tight lies tour. From the first swing I was dissappointed. Adams issued an unbelievable club with the tight lies tour, but in my opinion, ruined their reputation when they released the ST series. I also prefer the EI-70 shaft in my tight lies tour over the Bi-Matrix. Not very satisified with true tempers new technology either. If you own this club and like it good for you, but personally it is junk to me and will spend the rest of its life in the locker with all of my other old clubs doing nothing but collecting dust...

Customer Service

Emailed Adams one time with concerns about my tight lies tour, they responded promptly within a day or two.

Model Reviewed: Adams Tight Lies ST 9* Driver

This is absolutely the best driver made! I already own an Adams SC Driver and am very happy with it. With the new technology of multimaterial shafts, however, Adams has solidified its standings amongst the best drivers on the market today!

With the ST Driver I increased my distance a modest 10 - 15 yds (260 - 280 yds) but the overall control and consistency that I've achieved has more than made up for my distance expectations. I purchased this particular club slightly used off of eBay and paid approx. a third the price of a new driver ($110.) Needless to say, I got a great deal!

All in all, this is a club that I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to achieve more control as well as distance. And, which one of us couldn't use a few extra yards now and then?

Decided to put my tax refund to good use. I did some research and some price shopping. I purchased the regular shaft instead of stiff- which took a little bit to get used to. Bottom line- I love to hit it. You CANNOT beat this driver dollar for dollar....

Good Club. Alleviates my occasional slice, which it wasn't even designed to do, and provides about 10 extra yards compared to the the Ping TISI and similar drivers. Head produces a hollow ping not unlike the Ping and because of the BiMatrix shaft, good, moderate, and bad contact are easily detectable. Club feels slightly heavier than its counterparts, but not to its detriment. Overall, exceptional performance.
