It’s great off the tee and out of rough but it’s really a mediocre club to play from the turf because the face is too deep and narrow. It’s doesn’t feel solid at impact. It doesn’t let me know if I hit it on the sweet spot or not because it has the same feel on every shot. Feels as if I’m hitting it tin can.
PS. If u buy it, don't practice it on a mat, really hard to hit it on the centre.

This Club is the best club that I have ever really hit. I started out with a regular Steelhead but I broke the shaft of the club and I call callaway up and they sent me this club.
I have a 8* driver with a strong shaft and besides hitting it off the tee I hit it off the ground were I hit it the about the same distance off the tee. I think it is the best wood to buy for the money.

Model Reviewed: Steehead+ 2 wood and 4 wood

I am a average golfer and had trouble getting off the tee box. I was teeing off with a 2 iron because I had no confidence in my Calloways. Then I purchased the 2 wood on a whim. It was such a forgiving, long hitting club that I bought the 4 wood. After hitting for 2 weeks on the driving range, I played with my regular group. They were shocked by the distance and accuracy off the tee box. In 2 months, I have lowered my handicap by 7 strokes. Absolutely has changed my whole game. I often tee off with the 4 wood on dog-legged holes or long par 3's. Great clubs.

Model Reviewed: Callaway Steelhead Plus 3 Wood steel shaft

After reading review after review about how good Callaway products were, i figured i'd try one out. Got the 3 wood and it played as expected. Hit the 3 just as far as the driver i had at the time. Well worth the money

Customer Service

Great customer service, had a problem with the steel shaft, and had a fix in 6 days, over a weekend none the less

I love this club!!!!!! My ball is going farther and straighter. The confidence this club gives you're 250 yards from the green is incredible. I'll be in the 80's before the end of the season. I also have the Steelhead Plus 5 wood and have had the same results. Given my satisfaction with the Steelhead Plus clubs, I should have bought a Steelhead Driver instead of my Big Bertha Hawkeye VFT.

I had trouble hitting a 10.5 driver from Top-flite...I got about 230 with roll from the tee swinging around 92MPH...with this same swing I can go a touch faster and have MUCH better ball flight as well ans the toughts of hitting from the deck insted of a 2 iron. THANK YOU CALLAWAY! ..
PS, STEEL SHAFT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I though I had ended up with a club unsuited to my swing. The adjustments I'd made to hit this thing were ruining my iron play. It was about to go on ebay...then i took it to the range one last time. After a bucket of hooks, I changed back to my old interlocking grip with the clubhead straight at address, and took a nice natural swing. POW!! I easily cleared a 35 foot tree on the range that sits at 210 yards...off the matt. I was able to repeat a powerful, boring ball flight again and again. Occasional mishits curved back toward my target and landed short, but straight. I love this club. I might even get the driver. I will break 90 this year.

This is a follow up of my previous review. I played yesterday in a company tournament and I hit my Strong 4 Steelhead Plus 240 stiff on the green, and tapped in for birdie. On another hole, flew 250 for the easy chip with a wedge and putt for birdie. This is a great club, very forgiving and almost any player can handle it.
