Cleveland Launcher Steel Fairway Woods

Cleveland Launcher Steel Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

Cleveland Launcher Steel Fairway Woods Graphite Shafts. The maraging steel faces of the Cleveland Launcher Fairway Woods have a higher strength-to-weight ratio than clubs that feature standard 17-4 stainless steel. This high-strength characteristic creates a face that is thin and lightweight, making it "hotter" to provide maximum distance.

I have the 19 and 22 woods. Best fairway wood I've tried. Past 3 years I've owned 25 different models of fairways/hybrids. The launcher 06 have perfect headweight and ideal balance. Hot carpenter steel springs the ball off the face. Easy to hit despite its small size, easy to get up in the air. Hard to find a wood for off the tee and deck-- this does both. Very low price now with the larger sized woods out.

Cannot find the contact email on the Cleveland website, thumbs down for this reason.

I picked up both the 15* and 19* with Pro Launch shafts for only $85 a piece at a local golf shop. Great feel with distance about 5-10 yards shorter than my Sonartec SS-2.5, but with a higher trajectory, a softer landing and nearly impossible to slice. I think the height and landing are due to the shaft, but I cannot confirm this as I haven't tried the Launcher in any other shaft. I feel more confident hitting the Launchers than my Sonartec, so I've kept them in the bag. Great for players looking for a small, simple shaped clubhead with a shallow face.

I've been looking for a long time for fairway woods that I could play well, and suited my eye, and this is by far the club that can handle it for me. The smallish club head, low profile, and crack at impact make this a club I truly enjoy playing.

It's killer long off the tee and fairway, and I've hit this thing on the screws and pushed it past 250. A great club no matter hwo you look at it.

I cracked the hosel on my 10 year old Orlimar 13 deg., #3 wood. After shopping around and trying several others, I settled on the launcher steel. Being similar to the old Orlimar(shallow face, small head.), I it to be a comfortable fit. The face is very hot allowing for great distance of the tee, while the shallow face makes getting the ball airborne from the fairway a snap.
It's an excellent replacement for my old club and a great bargin right now as they have been discontinued. Not a gimmicky club, just a good solid stick.

Best fairway wood ever (and I've tried 'em all) Handicap: 10

At $99, the Cleveland Launcher Steel (2006) is a STEAL. This is THE BEST overall fairway wood I've ever owned/tried, (and I've tried a ton of them). I own the 19, 22, and 25 degree versions with the ProLaunch Blue shaft (stiff, 65 grams).
They are supremely easy to get up in the air, very long, and very forgiving. The stock shaft is good, but go with the ProLaunch if it is available.

Amazing - Launcher steel 13 degree , stock stiff shaft. No longer carry a driver, this one is long enough of the tee and straight enough.

Very nice fairwood to replace my #3 iron, easy to airborne and good distance. This club gave me numerous green in regulation and some short putts for birdies. Nice club!

This club is long! I don think you can find anything to match it. I had doubts about buying a 13 degree becuase of fear of not getting it in the air, but it just goes! Go buy it!

Feel isn't great compared to a titanium one. If you don't like a ball flight that's too high, this wouldn't be your choice of a wood. In fairness, you can draw or fade your shots easily with this club.
