Model Reviewed: Mizuno F-50 5 wood stock stiff

I recently bought the Mizuno F-50 5 wood in the stock stiff shaft at a local golf shop. I decided to opt for the stiff shaft over the regular to tighten the shot dispersion. Club is very easy to get airborn and is very forgiving. On the launch monitor, my average swing speed with this club was 88 mph and the average total distance was about 207-210 yards. Definitely recommend the F-50 to intermediate and advanced golfers.

Another awesome Mizuno club. My whole set of clubs is Mizuno except for my putter and wedges. I can always rely on this club. I hit it straight all the time. An the ball goes far. I have never hit a 3 wood as well as I do this club. I was fitted for it. It really works for me! Give it a try.

Model Reviewed: F-50 3-wood

I have an F-50 3-Wood and I love it. I do not have the greatest swing and I sometimes come off plane, but the F-50 I can depend on it and not have to worry about hitting it into the rough. I can hit it so straight and so far that for the the last couple rounds I have not hit my Mizuno MX-500 driver. This probobly sounds like a bunch of bull but I can hit about 235 normally but when I really hit it good it can go up much higher, 265 was my best on a flat par-4. And I normally cant hit my driver that far. I love it so much im planning on getting a 5 and maybe a 7-wood, too. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking to hit it straight and far.

great looking and great ball flight. if there's one place where composite technology makes sense it's the fairway wood because it helps you get the ball up quicker but without adding spin. club sets up dead square at address with the qhite scoring lines and classically shaped head perfectly framing the shot. the only other club that matches it for visual confidence is the Sonartec SS03. the shaft in stiff feels a touch weaker than most but it still provides good feel and in a fairway wood you're better off erring on the softer side. bottom line: mizuno finally scores a big victory with a club other than forged irons. for my money this is tied with sonartec for the best fairway wood on the market.

Model Reviewed: Mizuno F-50 3 Wood w/ Stock Stiff

I agree with the previous poster who said these give you the best aspects of the TaylorMade V-Steel (feel, feedback) with a ton more forgiveness.

The F-50 has beautiful boring trajectory. They get the ball up fine, but without the high spinning baloon balls that I see from the Callaways.

I tend to fight a slice/fade with my longer clubs, but I have no problems squaring the club face on the F-50. In fact I am hitting a slight draw that is giving me an additional 10-15 yds from my previous 3 woods.

The stock stiff shaft feels great to me. I swing my 3W around 95 mph, so the shaft will be too whippy for some faster swing speeds but it is right-on for me.

Got this 4 wood off Ebay with regular stock shaft after reading a Golf Magazine rave.
Couldn't hit it at all. All shots thin off the deck.
Got it re-shafted with a UST Proforce V2 regular shaft to match the shaft in my Launcher 460 driver.
Night and day! Shots off the deck are long and straight. Couldn't be happier.
What a miracle these premium shafts are!

I absolutley love this club. I am an 8 hcap and went with the stock shaft from Mizuno and love it. I do not find it light or whippy at all.

I went a little different appraoach with the 4 instead of the 3. I find the distance loss minimal but the trajectory and forgiveness, clearly superior.

The club is certainly workable and I suppose if I was forced to find a fault, I would agree with one of the below reviews in saying that the pretty little black head does get marked up quickly. Who cares though really?

Model Reviewed: Mizuno F-50 15* 3 Wood w/ Aldila NV 65-X

This is a solid club. Trajectory is not too high and the club seems to be more forgiving than my TM V-Steel and just as long if not longer. It took me a few swings to get used to the sound at impact since I've never used a composite club. There is also less feedback on mis-hits because it is a composite club which is the trade-off when you go to a more forgiving club. Shots off the fairway get airborne very easily and it cuts through tough lies when necessary.

Customer Service

I was disappointed in thier graphite shaft options. They do not offer the heavier weight classes in the Aldila NV so I had to get the 65 weight and I believe that is just too light for a fairway wood shaft. The heaviest graphite shaft they offer is only 71 grams which is very surprising since they typically cater to the experienced players that know what they're looking for. On the upside there was no upcharge to have them put in the Aldila NV over the standard graphite shaft they use. and at $199 it's the cheapest composite club on the market
