It took me some time to warm up to it but the G2 5 wood is now my favorite club.I usually have trouble hitting fairway woods but not since I began using this.Bought it used with the NV shaft. It's my go to club for anything 200 yds and out:even works great from the rough.

Bought it used with a stiff graphite. This club is so forgiving. I hit a high draw, and the ball stops like an iron on the greens. I like the heavy weight to cut thru rough and launch moonshots ,although I have always hit every club high this one doesn't balloon like most of the newer FW I've hit. I've used my FW around the greens for 20 years and this one works better than any others.

i LOVED this club at first, it was one of those clubs that you can hit really far your first time out with it. But after a few rounds i started noticing that when it hit the ground around the greens it would just stop, even if i hit a draw. It had to much spin for me. When i adress the ball the club face is hard to keep sqaure, it almost wants to fall open. It looks good, with the half moon thingy. But i found it hard to line up.

Model Reviewed: G2 14º 3 Wood

If you are looking for a higher-launching, easy to hit FW wood, these may be just the ticket. I've had mine for about 5 months now. I've never been able to hit a 3 wood so high and accurate. The claims that you can't mis-hit it are a little over-the-top of course, but it is very user-friendly. I got mine with the Prolaunch 75s shaft, and it launches nice and high with minimal spin. I took advantage of Ping's custom fitting options and ordered it with the specialty shaft, green dot 2º upright lie angle (which puts it at about the same lie angle as other manufacturers by the way. The G2's lie angles are a little flat.) Ordered D2 swingweight, as standard was D0, which felt a little light when I demo'd the TFC shafted version. Took about 2 weeks to arrive from Ping WRX.

Customer Service

Ping is pretty good to deal with. I knew what I wanted for specs, and they verified if what I wanted was possible. They were friendly and helpful.

Model Reviewed: Ping G2 Fairway Woods

I have been a dedicated Ping Iron man for years but always had to chose drivers and woods from a rival company until the ISI series of drivers and woods. However the Ping G2 series far surpasses these excellent clubs in all areas. The G2 fairways woods are incredible. It may not be possible to mis-hit these woods. I have the #3 & #5 woods and am thrilled with their performance. The ball flight is straight but workable if needed. And long!!! Only the worst rough is a concern. Do yourself a favor and give these a look. You won't be disappointed.

Customer Service

I've had nothing but good service from Ping, even if some of there policies are odd sometimes

Model Reviewed: Ping G2 3 wood

I'd been looking to replace my 3 wood with an easier to hit club. I had been using an old Orlimar hip-steel model 3 wood. I went to a local golf course and was able to hit the Ping G2 3 wood. I could not mis-hit it, no matter how hard I tried. The first 1/2 shots were straight down the driving range. The pro-shop gave me a decent trade-in value on my Orlimar, so I bought it without a second thought. I only hit it once on the golf course today, but it was straight down the fairway, about 240 yards. I love it.

Model Reviewed: G2 3 wood 14 degrees stiff graphite.

I bought this coz of 3 reason after breaking my 3 wood recently. 1) it got a relatively heavy shaft 87 grams. than the competition.= better control. 2) The height of the head is just nice, i generally like a fairway wood head that have similar size and shape to callaway. 3) Ping got a great reputation Use it in all kind of lies, very easy to use. easy to hit a low drawing trajectory. Used the web fit to get what i want and it suites me. the feel of the impact is good and above average response and feedback. Only thing i dont like is that i dont have the option to change the shaft outside of ping coz it have plastic hosel . i lke to play with different shaft options or twink swingweight when i get bored with my equipments.

Customer Service
