Model Reviewed: Taylor Made R5 Fairway wood

The Taylor Made R5 3 wood is a beautiful looking club providing excellent distance but the price is outrageous. This club will you cost 390 euro in Ireland. This is almost double what you would pay for all other fairway clubs (Titleist, Callaway,Cobra). Unfortunately, I believe price will prevent this clubs popularity.

Model Reviewed: Taylormade r5 Dual Fairway Wood

I have the 5 wood version with Regular flex MAS2 shaft. The most dependable club in my bag by far!!! I have the 3 wood V-steel and in comparison, the dual is so much easier to hit. The ball tings off the face and goes exactly where I want it to go. I have to say though that the head is enormous(bigger than the vsteel). THe bread and butter club for demanding tee shots off par 4's, long par 3's, and advancing the ball on par 5's...Just rip it and take the tiger pose.

I purchased this 3 wood with 15 degrees of loft and have found this club to be very solid with a mid-trajectory. I have hit almost every wood out there and this may be the best yet. It has a slight draw bias and it is long. I currently use the R7 Quad TP with the speeder shaft and this 3 wood compliments it nicely. The shaft seems stable but not quite as strong as the stiff 757 fujikura in my driver, but it still seems fine.
