TaylorMade V Steel Fairway Woods

TaylorMade V Steel Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

A fairway wood should be long, accurate, and versatile. Taylor Made's V Steel fairway woods deliver all three of these essentials, thanks in large part to their V-shaped sole that improves the dynamics of how the sole interacts with the turf at impact.

Simply put the greatest fairway woods ever made. I hit the 15 degree up to 265 yards and the 19 degree 225. It is just an incredible club and very workable either way. I am on my second set and I hate the fact that they don't make them anymore. A real tragedy.

Lovely club that can be worked both ways with ease. Also able to grip down the shaft with a 3/4 swing and hit those distances between full 3 wood and 3 iron.
Only negative i would say is compared to my previous 3 wood (980f) it is about 5-10 yards shorter on flat out hits. More accurate though and that is the main thing. Well worth sourcing a good 2nd hand one from E Bay.

My favorite club in my bag....absolutely love it! Even when I hit behind the ball, top it, hit the heel....anything at all...this club minimizes the error.

When you hit the sweet spot....watch out...the ball is sailing down teh fairway.

Great club. I am a sweeper with my woods, but hit my irons with a decending blow. All fairway woods don't work for sweepers. There's more the the v-stell sole than just marketing. The sole really allow with club launch beautifully off the fairway, something I cannot say about the Callay-X sole. Playability is excellent. Spin is medium, so I can work it left or right. It's fairly forgiving. High handicappers should go with one of the bigger mega 3-wds.

I just started golfing a couple months ago and through good coaching I have gotten pretty good. The Taylor MAde V steel 3 wood fell into my hand and I was not extremely impressed. The distance is good, but when you address the ball you feel a certain lack of confidence. This club does have a good balance of workability, forgiveness and distance all the same (i hit a callaway big bertha 3 wood 10 farther and straighter, which personally I would recomend)

This club is amazing, i just started getting a whole new set. When i demo'd this club i had to keep tape on the head because they did not have a used club. When i was swingin ball after ball it was travelin like a plane taking off on the run way. I cant wait to use this club without the tape, oh baby i cant wait!

Best 3wd have bought. i have been through Nike and Taylormade. i have had no problem with this one. I need the 5wd but havent bought that yet. I have a tendency to slice but when i grip it right that ball flies like it is suppoust to and with this club i dont slice as much as I would before with the Nike and taylormade.

UNBELEIVABLE!!!! These clubs are the best fairway woods that i have ever hit in my life. The sounds is awesome and the ball flight is very good. They are very forgiving and if its not hit square ont the face it will still turn out pretty desent. VERY VERY worth the price at just $99.99 at golfsmith. I'd recommend this club to any level of player.

Pretty much my favourite club in the bag. I just started playing last year, so I dont have a 3 wood, and use this club for all my 200+ shots (Can work it to go anwhere from 200 to 230), and it is great.

However, the only problem I have with it is that it lauches way too high sometimes, cutting off the distance significantly. I'm surprised to hear in some reviews that this club either has a low flight, or is only for better players, because I think its the opposite. Its so easy to get in the air, and in my opinion better players would be better off with a TP version of the new R7 fairway woods, since a fast descending swing will send this thing into the stratosphere even on the hardest surfaces!

But when the ball stays down (with a conscious effort of sweeping the ball), it goes a mile with hardly any energy. Great sound, great feel at impact.
