TaylorMade V Steel Fairway Woods

TaylorMade V Steel Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

A fairway wood should be long, accurate, and versatile. Taylor Made's V Steel fairway woods deliver all three of these essentials, thanks in large part to their V-shaped sole that improves the dynamics of how the sole interacts with the turf at impact.

I had this club reshafted with a stiffer shaft. The performance and workability have improved. The stock stiff shaft was to soft.

I have a new 3 wood.This v-steel
3 wood is great.I can't help but draw the ball with this club.Not a hook.A draw.Been using a Titleist F 3 wood and
because of my age and sight I needed a little (not much) bigger club.
So put a cover on this baby and it has found a place in my bag.Good bye Titleist.Hello Taylor Made.

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made V Steel 3 and 5 woods

Have heard for years that these were the best fairway woods ever. Stayed loyal to my cally fairways though. It was time to get new ones and saw Golfsmith blowing out the V Steels for $99.00. Bought a 3 and a 5 wood. It appears that Taylor Made has decided to discontinue the best fairway woods ever. Why do manufacturers do stupid things like this? Oh well. I am a very good fairway wood player mostly because my drives are always errant so I feel qualified to say, Get you one of these before there gone forever. I have never hit fairway woods this LONG and Straight in my life. Of the deck its awesome but tee it up and its a driver. I have never hit a 3 wood into places I have been with this one. I have the stiff stock graphite which plays soft to me but very stable. I bought the 15 degree 3 wood and they make a 13 hmmm a 13 degree driver. Try one if you can! Played 5 rounds with them.

I picked this up yesterday. I got it with the stock stiff graphite shaft.
Love the look of this thing. Great price too. Will give a review once I get to try this thing out.

I primarily use this 4 wood on the fairway. It is very easy to hit. Good distance and provides some forgiveness. It gives consistent results which gives me the confidence I need to hit it from anywhere on the fairway.

I found the V steel provided much more consistent results that Calloway SuperSteel III which I have used and enjoyed for many rounds.

This club sceams left.Distance and trajactory are fine put working the ball to the right is impossible. When I play a fade the ball goes straight. When I weaken my grip and play for a slice the club only gives me max 5 yards of fade.Would not recomend this club for better players who like or need to work the golf ball.

All I Can say is WOW this has to be the best 3 wood ever made!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can hit it of the tee, you can hit it off the fairway, and I have even hit it out of fairway bunkers. Golfers of all skill levels could use this club. Hell, one of my drives with this off a tee was 300 yds. Im serious . I have Aldia Nvs X-stiff. I can almost hit it as far as my driver which is a Taylor Made R7 TP 480 cc that I can hit about 330 usually(brand new driver not avalible to public yet.) Iwas about to be on the PGA tour but they said i wasn't good enough driving the ball 330 and mostly one putting. My best score was just a 59, not too good huh. All I can say is that this is a GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT CLUB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Model Reviewed: Taylor Made V Steel 3W & 5W w-Aldila NV65 shaft

Been playing 1.5 years and started out with TM Fairway Rescue 3 & 5 Woods with steel shaft. I can hit these a ton, but, the ball flight is so high that the wind cuts off a lot of distance.

I wanted a more boring ball flight and decided to look on EBAY for a TM V Steel 3W & 5W because I like TM products (I also use the Maxfli Noodle Longest ball).

Found a deal on new 3W 13* and 5W 18* with upgraded Aldila NV65 shafts. Had to buy and try. After two rounds with these clubs, I can say they are the best. I hit the 3W off the fairway 240 and the 5W 225. Perfectly balanced and look great.

Now if I could only control my R5 driver, I would be in the 80's.

Customer Service

Great to work with. Have had to ask TM for replacement headcovers for my R5 N because of elastic ripping. They sent me a new one immmediately.
