Titleist 975F Fairway Woods

Titleist 975F Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

The 975F is the ultimate combination of size and weighting in a fairway metal, producing a sweet, solid feel and sound. The lower center of gravity and increased face roll provide the proper launch angle and easy-up playability. The internal weighting is forward biased to reduce spin and produce a flatter downrange trajectory, the hallmark of all Titleist 975F fairway metals. The leading edge is beveled and radiused and the sole is crowned along the center for playability from all types of lies.

I first saw it in the shop and was a little aprehensive because of the small size of the clubhead.I then tried it in the net and it felt fantastic! It felt like it was made of titanium and I bought it straight away. That day I was playing a round at my local links course and the first 2 times I used the club I duffed the shots 20 yards. But then I started making smooth swings instead of harsh thrashes and , the ball sailed 190 yards towards the green. If you have a slow controlled swing (like me) I would throughly recommend the steel shaft because of the great amount of control and accuracy it gives you.

A great 3 wood. I have the steel shaft on mine which takes away from my distance, but when I hit this club solidly, it goes further then my Orlimar 10.5 degree. I get great distance and feedback with this club. If your swing is not stable however, look else where. You need to have a nice smooth swing to hit this club.

The Titleist 975F is a very good fairway wood in my eyes. I am going to get this club with a steel shaft on it just for more accuracy and because it is cheaper. I reccomend this club to all if you want maximum distance of the fairway andgreat accuracy!

I have used the Callaway Warbird for some time but needed a stronger lofted 3 wood. Having tried an Orlimar 13 Degree, I had trouble with it from the tee on tight holes. The 975F however, hits the ball with such power both from the tee, and the deck. Its accuracy is also great, and a excellent trouble shooting club. This is a basic traditional club, with basic looks and lots of performance. As a result of this club I am now going to purchase the 975D driver.

Model Reviewed: 975F 13.5* w/Select X-stiff

I hit the ball a long way, so length was not my problem. I needed a 3 wood that was accurate and that I could work both left and right, and put in the fairway at critical moments. My problem was I could only hit other club striaght sometimes and was always worried about a hook coming at the wrong moment. With the Titleist 975F I got a great shaft and the head is not hook face. Most other clubs are 2-4 degrees closed face which does nothing but make you hook more. I can work the ball with confidence. Would only recommend to thos ewould play often and have low handicap.

Customer Service

When I origianlly purchaced this I was fitting for 14.5* w/Tour Stiff EI-70. Hit the ball too high and the retailer contacted Titleist and they recommened that I go with 13.5* and Select shaft X-stiff. The retailer swapped me even since they did the origial recommendation.

All that I have to say is that this is the best club that I've ever hit. I would recommend replacing the shaft though.
