Titleist 975F Fairway Woods

Titleist 975F Fairway Woods

DESCRIPTION

The 975F is the ultimate combination of size and weighting in a fairway metal, producing a sweet, solid feel and sound. The lower center of gravity and increased face roll provide the proper launch angle and easy-up playability. The internal weighting is forward biased to reduce spin and produce a flatter downrange trajectory, the hallmark of all Titleist 975F fairway metals. The leading edge is beveled and radiused and the sole is crowned along the center for playability from all types of lies.

This club was not built for the higher handicaped player. That is why the reviews are suprisingly bad. I bought this club with a Proforce 65 Stiff shaft and I tend to get a wonderful trajectory with a slight draw. If you shoot in the 90's you are going to have a hard time hitting this club clean and straight.

To me this club at first was not so great. I had a steel shaft as I always have had in my fairway woods and it wasn't going as strait as I'd like, long but kinda hooky. I fooled around with some shafts and settled on an EI 70 stiff shaft which has been working great. Suggestion, don't be so quick to knock a golf club play with it and try different shafts and stuff you'll be surprised at what you will find. And by the way this golf club was not really designed for the high handicap which is why I'm not surprised by the majority of bad reviews coming from high hanicapers. Try a callaway steelhead there really easy and great clubs to hit. In short the 975F is long, easy to hit, and extremly workable. A solid golf club for a solid player.

great 3 wood. I first tried the stock shaft, but I didn't like the feel or the kickpoint. I got the club with grafalloy prolite fairway graphite, and I love it. Although I am only 15 and relatively short, I have a fast, aggressive swing, so grafalloy was my best fit. What I like about the this club is how solid it feels on impact, and how it makes you have a good swing, because you won't be able to hit it if your swing is not very good. The face is shallow, so if you put a steep swing on it you could pop it up, leaving an ugly mark. Overall, I like what titleist has done with this club, for it is a club that I will be using for a long time now. Soon, I will be buying a 975D with grafalloy and maybe a 975F 18.5* with grafalloy or steel.

Best 3 wood. I have got the 13.5 model with a DG S300 shaft. The key to this club is the swing smoothly, if you don't you either come over the top of it or you push it. This club is all about tempo. I tried the 97 model first with the stock shaft, I didn't like it at all but when I bought the 2000 975F I had found the perfect 3 wood.

This is the 2000 model - Great 3 wood. Had been playing the Adams TL 16* previously. The 975F is solid from fairway and tee. It is long and straight. I have the Titleist Ultralite 65 Regular shaft in it. It seems to fit my swing. I would recommend it to anyone. I don't think it is just a low handicap club.

It pisses me off that I can see a great club like this get ripped on by those who have a golf swing worse than my grandmother's. Don't blame the club for the outcome of your swing. Work on your swing and you'll see the results with this great club.. And until you do so, don't make excuses for yourself to feel better about your poor swing/play.

Very good club. Feels very solid and great ball flight. For a 15 or below hdcp. Gives the better player more feedback. True ball flight shot after shot.
