These are simply the best clubs I have ever used. I played with blades for a number of years then stopped playing for awhile. The lay-off deteriorated my game and the blades were no longer an option. I was looking for a club that would give me some forgiveness but still allow me to work the ball when I game got back to my normal level. These clubs have allowed me to do just that. The clubs have a great look and when well struck there is no better feeling. I am gaining a few more yards with my short irons but not a noticable difference with my long irons.

I'm an 8 handicap and I've been playing with a knockoff set of Callaway x-14's with nice graphite shafts. I've been extremely frustrated with hitting flush balls inconsistent distances. A 7 iron right hit flush sometimes went 145 yards, other times 155 yards and over the green. I finally decided to invest in some higher end irons, especially a forged iron. I went to my local golf shop and hit some Ping's, Clevelands, and the BH Apex Edge. I loved the Apex Edge irons the moment I saw them, but performance is the only thing that really matters to me. I picked up a set on eBay for $400 and I just got back from the range. Not only are they a gorgeous club, they are ultra-consistent. The #3 shafts feel much more solid and the forged iron is an absolute dream to hit. Flush shots feel like nothing. You feel no vibration at all. A suprising asset, the ball flight for me off these clubs is very very high, leading to nice soft landings I'm sure. In summary, if you play a cheaper club and are looking for a step up, this club can't be beat, a forged iron is so solid that words cannot explain the sensation of nailing one the sweet spot. Find a set on eBay, you won't be sorry. On another note, looking for a good instruction book? Get a copy of Ben Hogan's Five Lessons. The chapter on the grip and stance alone will shave strokes off your game. Study it and it will work. You can take my word for it.

A very forgiving set of forged irons. Had problem with fading the ball on every single club. Took to the fitting pro, the standard hogan irons are shorter than normal, ended up with 2* more upright and entend the shaft by one inch. Now this set suits me very well, straight shots on every club. High ball flight with the mid-short irons. but the long irons are great, boring and penentrating ball flight and it goes very long. A great set of forgiving forged irons with a lot of feedback.

whenever I buy a set of Clubs, I depend on reviews from other people, So that why I decide to share mine. I've tried several set over the past year. 990's,compEZ and ISI,s. these are by far the best set I have ever owned. off center hits towards the toe I cant even tell without looking at the ball mark on the face.this is the only set of clubs I've owned that I feel as confident with the long irons as I do the mids.and the looks definately add to my liking of the clubs. I have to say without a doubt, these are going to be in the bag for a while....give them a try, you can catch them real reasonable now since the CFT'S are out

Very workable clubs. Roughly 5yds longer than my old Armors. One thing to keep in mind is the weight. The clubhead is definetely there. I consistently hit a draw, difficult for me to hit a fade with this set. Very consistent clubs though, short irons are a dream. I hit the Edge Pros just a good at the range before I went with these. Chrome finish is beautiful, clubs show no sign of wear/tear.

Great club! Very easy to hit. So far it seems that i´m a bit longer with the Edges than with my previous irons Top Flite tour, that´s nice. The ballflight is high with a lot of spinn. There`s no problem to get the ball to stay on the green. The only downside is that i´m having a little problem to draw/fade with the clubs. On the other hand: These irons goes straight. I´m used to aim a bit to the right of my target and then Draw the ball back on line. Playing these irons i have to aim straight at the target: becuse the go STRAIGHT!! Once I have adjusted my sving to this i´m sure i will score far better with the Edges then with my old clubs. If you´re thinking of getting a new set of forgiving irons, with great feel, check these out!

Great clubs, but beware of the feedback on the long irons on a cold day. If your just getting started, these clubs will beat you up - but if your a pretty consistent hack, the Hogans provide a great balance between game improvement and shot shaping performance. Maybe it's just a figment of my imagination, but when I hit them flush, I can almost feel the grooves bite into the ball.

For quite some time, I'd agonized between these clubs and the Taylor Made 360s. After testing them out, selecting the Edges was an easy choice. These are gorgeous clubs that combine forgiveness with all the benefits of a forged iron. Perfectly weighted, they truly feel like an extension of my own body. I recently broke 90 for the first time. I'll be carrying these for years to come.

6-months beginner, but 2-buckets every day, with coach, and lots of Course Play; AWESOME; tried X-14, X-12, Mizuno, Titlist... Ben Hogan beats all! Great feel, balance, shine, grips! Used to play Billiards, so I know all about "feel"... The grooves allow for reall good "grip" on the ball, especially short-irons. The "frequency matches" Regular-3 shafts are great. I can totally tell where the head of the club is during my full swing. I Also bought separately, Ben Hogan: Sand and Gap wedges; these were GREAT too!

I went to the Golf Show recently looking to try out some clubs, Ben hogan namely. i breifly tried an apex edge 5 iron and right away i loved the feel of it. I was quoted a price for about $1100 CAD + 15% sales tax for 3-E. Now being a student $1100 doesn't come by often so i decided shop around a bit. I wound up at e-bay and saved more than $700 CAD. I just got my clubs last week and seeing as there is still snow on the ground and the temp.is still way below zero i was forced to take then out of the box and just stare at the beautiful chrome finish. Today the temp. finaly rose to about 7oC so i decided it was time. Before these clubs i played knock-offs. now while they suited me when i first decided to get a set of clubs. It's been several years and my swing is consistant, i have good form, and an understanding of the golf swing so i thought it was time for an upgrade. Now as stated above i'm nowhere near a scratch game shooting in the 90's. I my defence i only played a handfull times a year. This year i've the intentions of playing far more and with these clubs i'll enojoy the game more with the increased feel and control. I found the clubs initially quite heavy in comparison with my old clubs. That combined with the excitement of getting my new clubs and getting the kinks out of my swing after the long winter provided less than desirable results. I can see why high handicapers would dislike this club. By my thrid bucket i had sorted my swing out out and found a slower backswing speed helped me control the club better with the added weight. Now with my old clubs i was hitting my 3 iron 175-180, 5 iron 160-165 yards and pw 90-95 yards, you can tell i'm no hulk (5'10 140) Now i'm hitting the ball with a much nicer trajectory, i've added consistancy and i'm now hitting my pw about 125 yards. I have trouble picking up where the ball was landing on my 3 iron and 5 iron but the felt longer and were strighter in the air. i'm now hitting the ball straight or with a nice draw. with my old clubs i was pushing the ball alot but in all fairness i think that that had more to do with my swing then my clubs. i look forward to gaining more experience with these clubs and trying them out on a real course. In closing, i'd recommend these clubs to people who are fairly set with their swings and are looking to improve their game with an upgrade in equipment.
