I had a set of these once, and I jumped at the chance to buy this full set of Hogan Edge made up with a mixture of GS and the "notch" all with the excellent Hogan shaft (in this case 4, stiff?). In any case, excellent golf club quality at a cheap price. Unsurpased feel coupled with some forgiveness. One of golf's hidden gems, Hogan Edges.

Is there any club similar to this feel with perimeter weighting? Maybe the Mizuno MP-30?

I have never hit a better feeling club. Owned many brands but when i saw this deal on eBay for a brand new set, I couldn't pass it up. Have been playing with Callaway VFT Hawkeye's but they are not nearly as forgiving as these Hogan's. Would recommend to anyone wanting to lower their scores!

Awesome, called and told Hogan about the great quality and they sent me a towel and a sleeve of balls!

These are designed by Gene Sheeley, who was also the designer of the Apex for years. the GS''s are great for someone who wants a real perimeter-weighted, forged club with exquisite feel. Hogan himself used them for the ads filmed in California. They are real; there are some god awful things out there that masquerade as golf clubs. Steal ''em!

A great club. Sweet when hit pure and forgiving but with feedback unlike other cavity back''s where you feel the same dull thud no matter where the ball strikes. A clean hit will feel almost as good as a pure forged muscleback blade. My only gripe is trivial aesthetics - I wish the topline was just a little thinner like an MP-33. Oh... and I think the Apex shafts are better than Dynamics.

They respond to my e-mails. What can I say?

Great clubs, my aunt worked for Hogan and I got to play with almost every club made since the late 70's. There is not a better set of hogans. Dont buy them call me and tell me where they are so I can go buy them.

Bought in '89, nothing I've tried since has been close. Nothing beats the feel of a well-hit forged iron. Know exactly where a mishit struck, great flight, square grooves stop on a dime (really scuff up balls, though!). People still admire them after 12 years. Regrip every 2 years and they still feel brand new. Highly recommended if you can find them!!

As an improving three year player, I wanted to step up to a forged club, but I wanted a forgiving one. The Edge is even more than I hoped for: sweet feel, excellent distance and straight as an arrow. My second time out with these, I had my best round ever.

Best iron I've hit since the original Edge. A bit light-headed and harder to control than the old Edge, but more fun and a sweeter click at impact. Currently using graphite shafts, which seem perfect for these clubs.

Just picked these up used last week. Already am feeling more confident and hitting longer and straighter. I let my buddy, the one with the top of the line cobras take a couple of hits and now he wants to find a set for himself... Can't believe the difference in my game...
