Great clubs. Fought with my iron play for a long time, these clubs take away a lot of the work. It took me a while to get used to the tour stiff graphite shafts, but now that I have the consistancy is there. With my old Irons holding greens could be a challenge, now anything with in the 170 yardage or closer seems to stick to the green no problem. Callaway has hit the mark with these clubs.

Customer Service

Not used much, what little contact I have had though makes me believe there service is of the same quality as the clubs

OK here's the deal: I play a lot of golf and am something of a club junkie. In the past 2 years I've owned or played a round with TaylorMade firesole, Ping Eye 2, Ping Eye i3, Orlimar Tri-Metal, Mizuno MP-33s, KZG blades, Golfsmith blades, Feel Competitor blades, Cleveland TA3 forged, and Callaway X-12. The X-14 Pro Series are hands down the best irons I have ever hit. In fact, they are so much better than the above mentioned clubs, that it almost seems like they should be illegal. Are they a little blocky looking at set up? Yes. Is the feel muted on mis-hits? Sure - that's what they're supposed to do. (I can't believe the reviewers who criticize these irons for looking and feeling just as they were desiged to). I typically have a medium trajectory ball flight but the X-14s send the ball very high with a lot of spin (sometimes too much). They are quite long due to stronger lofts than standard. They reward marginal hits with miraculously good results. They've dropped my handicap 3 strokes to a 9.7. And that's it folks.

Unquestionably the best club I have ever hit. Played Hogan Apex for 20 years before buying Titleist DCI 990's. Wasn't happy with them. Hit the ball too high and they weren't as forgiving as I thought. Thought about switching back to blades to resolve the trajectory problem. A back injury complicated by age (I am 50) has hurt my game in the last few years. Went against my pro's advice and bought the Callaways. He was worried about too a trajectory problem as well. No problem!!! With these clubs I can control the trajectory, fade or draw the ball with ease but hit everything else STRAIGHT. Quite honestly, they seem to swing themselves. I got them with Dynamic Gold S3000 shafts and refitted them with Tour Velvet grips. Should have gone to X100 shafts as I hit the ball hard and high. Everybody should play Callaways! Forgiving and precise at the same time.

Customer Service

Called them about refitting to X100's. They offered to pre-pay the shipping. What more can you ask.

I played golf when I was a kid and teenager. But change of fortunes, forced me not to play golf again until I can afford to do so right now. Was using number of friends' clubs before decided to get 2nd hand X14 pro series. Tried the X14 as well. My conclusion is this iron sets is GREAT. Very forgiving (even pro series). I often hit the ball far from the sweet spot, but my ball still goes in respectable distance. If I compared my shot using this and using X-14 (non pro) or my friend's Hawkeye VFT, I found my shot relatively goes further using X-14 pro series, since the trajectory of the ball seem to be lower. Feedback is good, except that the feeling when the ball hit perfectly, was not that GREAT as compared if you hit it with Honma clubs (my other friends' club) And the look... ah yes. Believe it or not, this is one of the most significant reason why I bought this club. It looks damn sexy! The smoke steel finish is something that you would love to see this clubs over and over again. If you're new to golfer, or even with 15 below handicap, I don't see any reason why you can't play with this, and buy this thing. Overall, I am a happy man. It made me a better golfer. Totally!

I think the more I play with these irons, the lower my score goes. My first round was a 84. From playing upper 80's and low 90's, I feel the clubs have helped me score better. They give me a good tragectory and great distance. I played Cleveland TA 4's for 5 years and felt it was time for a change. I don't regret getting the X-14 pros. They are very forgiving and seem to fit everyone's game. I recommend these clubs to anyone who wishes to lower their score

After playing many different irons such as the tommy armour evos, titleist 690s, hogan, rac blades, ping 13s and mp 33s(horrible), I've found that the x-14 pro series are by far the best. I have great confidence at set-up, and it is effortless to control the trajectory. I can hit high and low draws, high and low fades, and of course straight. These irons give me the workability and control I need to go out there and break 70. If your looking for an iron out there to lower your scores, get the x 14 pro series and see the difference in your game.

I returned my adams idea irons ( I loved the irons but could not hit the i-woods) and got the x-14 pro. I've played 2 rounds so far and I'm impressed, they have lowered my ball flight to a more pro like flight but still easy to get the ball up and they stop well on the green. About the same distance as my old Hogan gcd's but easyier to hit straight.Heads fell a little heavy with the rife shaft but I like that. They kind of remind me of the old s2h2 callaway irons only easier to hit.Great price for a quality product

Purchased these on sale after 12 years playing with Ping Eye 2s. They have the Rifle CW 6.0 shafts. I thought, based on their specs, that I would hit them a tad further and somewhat lower (stronger lofts and slightly longer shafts). I was quite suprised to find that, while the long through mid irons were quite simular, the wedges are actually 1/2 club shorter and have higher flights! That doesn't mean that I don't like them however, just that they have taken more time to "dial in' than I had anticipated. The clubs look good, set-up well and seem to power through bad lies. They are easier to fade than to draw, mostly they want to go straight. Feel is a little "muted", but not objectionable. Compared to my Pings, all I can say is that they are different. Not bad, just different. I suppose if I play these for the next 12 years I'll have that to say about the next set! Overall, a good set of clubs, especially considering that they were really marked down with the X-16s being introduced!

Model Reviewed: X-14 Pro Series Irons

I have been golfing for only 11 months and have taken quite a few lessons. Since I saw the X-14 pros for the rock bottom price of $399.99 at Golf Galaxy I decided to take the plunge and buy them. I was a little nervous that they would be too much club for a beginner. Needless to say I have lowered my Handicap from 37 to 32 and am breaking 100 for the first times ever. Very forgiving when you hit off center alot like me. Kinda heavy and took a few rounds to get used to, but know I am hitting my shots farther and more accurate then I ever have been, and I should be able to shoot in the 90's consistently by the end of summer.

Very disappointed in the irons. I decided to try cast cavity back irons after playing mostly blades. Although very easy to hit, the set-up and feel of the irons are non-existent. Too bulky looking at set-up and never know how the ball will react when hit. The factory rifle shafts are terrible. Had them checked and the flex is all different. Swingweight is also off. Great distance in irons, but buying them was a mistake. Going back to blades for better feel and control.

Customer Service

None except for the fact that these irons need to be checked for flex and swingweight before purchase.
