Cleveland Halo Irons

Cleveland Halo Irons

DESCRIPTION

The new Halo hybrid utility club will produce shots approximately five to ten yards longer than standard long irons. The Halo hybrid utility offers an extra large sweet spot and a high moment of inertia for increased stability and forgiveness at impact making it easy to hit for golfers of all abilities. Due to its unique sole design, and low and deep center of gravity, this hybrid club is extremely versatile for shots.

This is the best Hybrid Cleveland makes. I bought and played both the Halo Which stands for "High Angle Lift Off" and the Hibore. What makes the HALO better is the rounded leading edge. The Carpenter steel face on the 17-4 stainless frame is hot. The leading edge of the HiBore is flatter, and Hands down, the Halo is better from more kinds of lies especially the tight lie.

Very nice club. It takes some adjusting to hitting a hybrid, but once you do, you'll love one. Very good, easy hitting club.

I HAVE A 4 WITH STEEL SHAFT THAT GOES NICE AND STRAIGHT, IS GOOD OUT OF ROUGH AND FAIRWAY SAND AND UNEVEN LIES (USED OVER 1 YEAR). I ALSO HAVE A 3 WITH GRAPHITE, BUT IT DRAWS A LITTLE TOO MUCH. I ALSO HAVE A 5 WITH STEEL AND I CAN'T CONTROL IT AS WELL AS THE 4.
I JUST BOUGHT THE NEW CALLAWAY X HYBRID 4 GRAPHITE, BASED ON MY LUCK WITH HALO 4 AND IT WILL HOOK TWICE, THEN GO STRAIGHT, THEN HOOK, THEN STRAIGHT, SO I AM RETURNING IT BEFORE 30 DAYS IS UP.

Having read the previous reviews I noted that there was considerable inconsistency in reported distances achieved with these clubs.
Even so I recently purchased the 1 and 3 hybrids then followed up by purchasing the 2 and 4 because the 1 and 3 didn't quite match the lengths I was seeking.
On the driving range I noted that all 4 clubs felt very different in swing weight but Cleveland claims they are all D3 swing weighted. I doubted this, so I weighed and measured each club.
My #1 Halo is D4, the #2 is C8, the #3 is C5 and the #4 is B5 swing wieght. No wonder I, and many other users, can't get any consistency out of these clubs.
This level of variation in swing wieghting makes these the worst matched set of clubs I have ever encountered.
What is more, this is the only set of clubs I know of where the head weight of each successive club gets lighter as the number increases.
Cleveland are really letting themselves down badly with such poor club matching.
If you want to buy a Halo, be prepared to pay a club fitter to modify the clubs weighting before you expect to achieve satisfactory performance.

I purchased this club about 3 months ago. Can't hit your high irons? Well the cleveland halo hrybrid is your answer. I was having trouble hitting my 3 iron solid every time. So i went out and bought this club for $100. The halo is a great replacement for my 3 iron. I get great accuracy and great distance with this club. With my 3 iron the trajectory was very low, but when i used this club the hieght on my shots increased dramatically. This club is for any golfer no matter what the hindicap.

Already had the 3i & 4i but I have recently added the 2i to replace my erratic 5 wood that was simply wasting space in my bag. I can nail this almost as long as my 3 wood but with much more accuracy and consistency. I can still hit my 3 wood if necessary but if it absolutely has to go straight (to avoid trees or other hazzards) this club is much more reliable. Highly recommend it to anyone that struggles with fairway woods or long irons.

Back in Nov. at a demo day I tried all the hybrids and the Halo came on top along with the Hi Bore. Now I own a 19 and 22 degree Halo and have the 4i or 25 degree ordered. There is no point in struggling with long irons anymore. The 2i has a graphite shaft while the 3i has a the Dynamic gold s300. Both my Hogan CFTS have steel shafts. I prefer them as for me they are more accurate and straight. It is a little confusing shopping for hybrids as the lofts are different among the manufacturers. Check lofts before you purchase.

"How can anyone believes that someone who can hit a 220 yds with a 4 iron and score in the 90s... This is really BS to all of us" --written by Pky6471

If you are going to attack the validity of someone's statement, please try and use proper English.I mean, a couple grammatical errors here and there is okay. But your syntax, um, senses no make they don't (understand?). I nearly developed an aneurysm when I first read your review. Anyway, I do have my doubts as to whether the 220 yd thing is true, but...it could be true.Anyway, this hybrid club looks nice, but I have never played it. I am going to try it out soon.
