I'm a beginner, and bought the Hippo Hybrid 2 set as my first set of clubs, which I love. After a few months, I thought it was time to move forward and buy a new, better set. The Cleveland Launcher really disappointed me. I just can't get the ball up in the air. Very unforgiving. The club head is even bigger than the Hippo's, but it just doesn't work for me.
I've played 2 9-hole rounds with them, and couldn't get one good shot.
I'll try to sell them, and definetely go back to the Hippo's.

these are a great looking set of clubs, but overall i didn't really enjoy my experience with them. they weren't as forgiving as i thought they would be, and i tended to slice more with this set than my old. i got a great deal on them for $249 total with shipping, but they just weren't the club for me.

Customer Service

great!

Model Reviewed: Cleveland LP Launcher

Decided to switch from a forged iron (hogan FTX) to a game improvement because I don't golf enough and practice to hit them consistantly. Theses LP Launchers are very straight and consistent. The only things is obvisouly they are a little harder feeling than a forged. I played a couple of rounds and find i'm hitting more greens.

These irons are very forgiving as advertised! The low-profile helps to get the ball up very easily. My first several hits went a little right of target, but I corrected this by closing the face slightly. I know I'll be hitting more greens in regulation. They are longer than my Ping ISI's, too. This is a current 2006 product on the Cleveland website and is an outstanding value. I paid $244 from Austad's including shipping. You can find deals on Ebay, as well. Cleveland may have plans to discontinue it, but I can't see why. Cleveland quality!

Customer Service

I've been told Cleveland stands behind their products. I haven't had any problems. I also play the Cleveland Ti 460 driver and love it.

I originally bought a set of Acuity's from Dick's to get started into golf. After the golf addiction I decided to look into quality brand clubs. I tried all the major brands at $500 or less price range and game improvement irons. The Launcher LPs, for the current price, were far beyond any irons at regular price. I would consider them as semi-game improvement as they are no where near as thick on the sole as other brands. Super sold and easy to look at when at address.

Customer Service

TGW was having a sale, went to Golf Galaxy to price match and traded a few clubs in and walked out paying $210 for the set. Best money I've spent in golf!

Very forgiving club. Allows for stability on off center hits and not significant loss of distance. And they look great too. At my level, I can't vouch for other clubs, but the regular launchers felt too clunky (sort of like the Callaway big bertha's) but the lp's are a little more slim and seem to move a little better thru grass and rough. Great grips too.

Customer Service

Never needed Cleveland's customer service, but I bought from the golf warehouse, who has horrible customer service. Will never buy from them again, despite what anyone says.

well about three days ago i bought some steel stiff shafted cleveland launchers and i went to the driving range and couldn't hit them straight. then the next day i tested how hard I could hit it and when I hit it with 3/4's of my power the ball flew and it was awsome it also felt super soft. I actually have tried other clubs like good brand name clubs and these are the most forgiving and softest clubs I have ever felt.

Customer Service

The customer service is great they said if any thing happened to my clubs not related to me damaging them they would fix it or give me a whole new club

Some time ago I owned a set of Cleveland quadpro irons. They were fantastic. You felt like you could bludgeon a course into submission with a set in your bag. Stupidly I sold them when I started to think I was missing out on new technology, and have been through a constant stream of irons looking for the perfect replacement for them. Well I am here to tell you I think I have finally found them in the shape of the Cleveland Launcher irons. They are very similar in my mind to the Quadpro in their design, headshape and size.Although only a cast head the regular flex graphite shaft which is a touch on the firm side helps to give a tremendous soft feel when you stike the ball, not unlike a forged set. Added to this you get an amazing zip through the ball on the strike. The long irons are the easiest to control I have ever had the pleasure to use and the flight although high and mighty could never be described as ballooning. Very well made, they do not mark up easily and their understated black and silver graphics in the cavity make them look fantastic in your bag.Dont hesitate to give these a trial if you are any level of golfer although particularly if you are a mid to high handicapper. I firmly believe they are one of the best sets of irons on the market and will not let you down if you purchase them. They are a real wolf in sheeps clothing and are noticeably longer than all the other irons I have tried or owned in recent years. Do yourself a favour ...Get these.Especially as they can be obtained for a lot less than recommended retail if you shop around. In a nut shell,Cleveland have done it again with the Launcher irons. Ignore them at your peril!!

Customer Service

Only had to use once in all my years of cleveland gear and the service was exemplary.

These are very forgiving solid irons. High MOI produces surprising distance, I gained 10 yards on each club; a solid ptiching wedge flies 135 yards. Shots are straight with a high trajectory and soft landing. I am able to slow my swing speed down and concentrate on accuracy and alignment moving back to regular steel shafts. I no longer feel that I have to swing out of my shoes to get the ball there as with my last set. Consequently, I am able to work on a single tempo for irons and driver which were previously out of sync. I am really confident about being under 80 consistently. However, I only carry the 5 - pw; I can hit the 5 iron long and straight to 195/200 yards. The standard set is the 4 - dw. I use the old Cleveland Quadpro Launcher Irons (15 and 24 degree) for long irons and Cleveland 588 Wedges (53, 55, 60 and 64 degree) to fill out the set, putter and driver. Tried and liked the G2's but found I liked the feel of the Launchers better, Big Berthas were similar feel but not as long and I couldn't feel anything with the Nike Slingshots.
