It is rare that a product does exactly what the manufacturer's advertising says, in this case it is absolutely true. Having changed from graphite to steel, there is no loss of distance between my old QuadPro irons and these new launchers. Very easy to use, good looking, no vibration on impact, just long and straight. Hitting a 3iron off the deck is just as easy as a nine iron. Get these and you will never look back.

I first hit these irons at a demo day. I could not hit them anywhere but straight. I even asked the rep if it was possible to hit slice or hook them. After about an hour I decided to buy a set with stiff graphite shafts as recommended by the rep. My iron play has improved. I'm not always hitting greens, but I'm a lot closer with my misses. I'm getting a little unintentional fade with them, but I'm sure this is swing mechanics. These irons feel great to hit and are easy to align. I can see why Rankmark testing ended up with these irons so highly ranked. I would recommend these to mid or high handicappers who have trouble controlling their irons. They won't fix a bad swing, but they do help minimize errors.

Customer Service

The launcher irons are a solid addition to the existing suite of clubs available from Cleveland. They don't have the wow factor, the best description I think is the quiet achievers. The style is retro in one sense reminiscent of clubs produced by Spalding and (then) known as the executive line. Weight is distributed low and scales back as you progress through the set as does the offset. The 17-4 steel has a good feel and does the job, but was hoping for them to be more adventurous. Would be great to see the CMM (Carbon metal matrix) used in these babies! For me, hit the three iron two hundred metres (down under we are in metric) and the strike felt as soft as knife through butter. Not alot of shaping potential here as the irons are almost programmed for a straight hit! Took them out to the range and had a variation of about 3 metres either side of the middle....very consistent. One real positive ...."the optic nerve" they were beautiful in the bag ..... Give them a go you can't go wrong!!

I signed up for one of Cleveland's "demo days" where the factory van stops at your local golf shop and you can get custom fitted for a set of clubs. I went with an open mind. I had demo'd the Nike Slingshot, the Ping G2's, and the Cleveland TA6. At my appt with the factory guys, I was really impressed. They really took their time to talk with me about any problems I was having with my swing and really took some time watching my swing and even giving me a few pointers. After working with me for a while, the rep went out to the factory van and came back with one of the brand new "Launcher Irons". I immediately noticed the deep cavity back and the G2 style wider sole. I hit the club several times and decided to order a set. This past weekend was my first oppurtinity to hit with my new clubs. I went to my favorite local course and bought three buckets of balls then headed to the range. Okay, I need to admit at this point that I usually hit in the mid to upper 90's. I was looking for a new set of more 'forgiving' clubs that, combined with some lessons, could help me get into the 80's. The verdict..... I LOVE THESE CLUBS. I just sold a set of titleist DCI's that I'd had for a couple of years. My shots with with DCI's tended to be inconsistent. I LOVE THESE CLUBS...I started out with the 3 iron. I have never hit a 3 like this. Every shot was straight, even the shots that I didn't hit perfectly, they still went straight. How much did I like them? I went out the next day and bought covers for each iron. My faith in cleveland went up so high that I have now traded in my old driver and fairwood woods for a complete set and now have the Launcher 460 and the launcher fairway woods in titanium, 15 and 19 degrees. I'm equally as happy with these as I am with the irons.

Customer Service

Factory reps were professional and extremely helpful. No problems.
