I've only begun to play golf seriously and my recent improvements have not quite been reflected in my handicap. However, I can honestly say that without a doubt Cleveland did an A+ job with these clubs. I get tingles down my back everytime I ring my 3 iron 230 yards straight. The sweet spot on these clubs is just incredible.

For all you high handicapers out there, throw away your game improvement irons and learn how to swing correctly with these clubs.

Overall these are quite possibly the best irons that nobody gives credit to in golf. They feel like butter and are overall fun to play with. I went from the 990's as soon as I hit these things, those 990's are dead even on good shots. I went from shooting a 93 the first day of tryouts for High School to shooting a 83 that is the proof right there. I love these things and they are very inexpensive compared to new forged irons (I.E. Ben Hogan and TM 300) and these are great. 10 yards longer than my 990's. I will not be changing irons for a long time. Great investment. I would give more stars if possibly.

Customer Service

I love Cleveland's Customer Service I got my wedge in a week with a rifle shaft and get email back within a day or two.

I read some of the comments about Cleveland jacking up the lofts on their irons and it is funny to me. I think people need to do something that resemble research, Hogan runs basically the exact same lofts in the Apex Plus. Mizuno has basically the same lofts in the Pro 2 irons, and so does Titleist in the 990's. Those clubs, along with some of the others like Tour Edge V-Blade, Precept Tour Premium and some of the other forged cavity backs all run within 1 to 2 degrees of each other. People have to remember that there is no industry standard in terms of loft and lie for Irons.
Also, you are better off taking your clubs to a clubfitter to get the adjustments made that you want. A lot of time they are more willing to do things that the factory won't do.

Customer Service

Cleveland has decent service and they are willing to do to help you.

As I mentioned above I've tried a lot of clubs and I would rate the performance of these about in the middle of the road. Average length (8-PW about a 1/2 club longer due to strong lofts) forgiveness is pretty good as long as you hit it somewhere on the grooves. On the negative side these clubs seem a little head light, and the feel is somewhat hard compared to other forged clubs. And I don't like the fact that they can't be adjusted like other forged clubs. On the positive side the standard size head lends to working the ball and hitting out of the rough. I also like the gunmetal finish, especially on a bright sunny day. If you like the looks of the gunmetal finish you may want to try these. If you are looking for the 'buttery' forged feel you may want to look somewhere else.

Customer Service

Very disappointed. Ordered these from their custom department and waited 6 weeks for them. I had requested 2* upright, and 4* spacing in loft between clubs.(Cleveland tricks up the lofts on short irons to make them seem longer) They assured me on the phone that they could do this. When I received the clubs they were 2* upright but the lofts were the factory standards. When I called to complain they said due to the gunmetal finishing process the lofts could not be changed. They apologized to me for the misinformation that I was given but did not offer to take the clubs back. They said I could send them in to be adjusted but they could only move them 1* and they would not guarantee that the clubs would not be damaged in the process.

My first round with these clubs was magical. The balls flight is true as can be, like throwing darts! Last time around my home course 79(old clubs, cast, 18 years of service), new clubs 74!(luck?, I think not) wind was at 30 mph cannot tell if xtra distance is there but the feel and workability is great!

these irons are the best ive played, hardly any offset allows you to work the ball, and it feels so pure, and they are extremely long, id say 15 yards longer than my previous golfsmith forged blades, trust me these irons are about as good as they come, and the gunmetal finish is just awesome

I've used these clubs for one season and i must say that they are the finest irons on the market. I've been playing golf for 15 years and have switched clubs every two years. Not anymore. I've tried everything on the market and nothing comes close. For some reason last season I dropped from a 8 to a 3 handicap.......HUM.....could it be the irons????...I think so.....(I also have the 797 BeNi wedges....UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!..a complete and perfect set....)
