Ta-3 Irons
When I first picked these irons up I thought that they were the best thing going. They provide an exellent size and look of a blade, with a cavity balance for forgiveness. I stayed loyal to these irons for two years, at which point I found a rare set of Titleist Tour model Irons. It is a pitty there is no section of this web site where i can review those irons, but to say they least, they are uncanny. Just recently, I decided to try the Ta-3's again just for old times. I found the feel to be muted, as a previous reviewer had described. And I couldn't tell when I was hitting a good shot. My final assement of these irons is: For a golfer who doesn't want to play a Big Bertha set, but doesn't feel ready for a true blade, these clubs are a good choice for you. I would also consider the 962's and hogan apex plus. I would pick the hogan's over all. Similar Products Used: Titleist 962, Hogan Apex Plus |

clubs are sweet.. they look a bit wierd at address.. the VAS system makes these better than most irons (vibration absorbtion system) its hard to even tell when i hit them thin! im more of a blade kinda guy so i think i might switch to the TA -1 irons...(you can control the ball better with a blade).. This is a great set of irons to purchase if you are between game improvement and blade irons. Dont let the blade apperance fool you these are nearly as forgiving as my old Ping Eye 2's and give me 5 yards and a little more spin. I strongly reccomend. Very solid and good feeling clubs. A good compromise for forgiveness like a cavity back irons and the feel of a forged club. Very easy to work and create shots. The best of both worlds in a forged club and cavity back forgiveness. Definitely increased distance due to stronger lofts as compared to other models...figure 10-15yds longer. For the price can't beat it. These are the best irons out there today. I have played my best golf with these irons in my bag. I shot a personal best 64 playing these irons and haven't looked back since. Customer Service The customer service at Cleveland is great! I have talked with them numerous times and they have always been extremely courteous and helpful! Best clubs I have ever hit. It is very easy to make my draw work. These clubs produce a great trajectory. The ball kind of goes, instead of rises. They go very far, and are easily the best feeling clubs in the business. I have 2* upright, S300 shafts 1" over standard. Go out and get these right away. These clubs are one of the sweetest clubs i have ever hit. They are really easy to work the ball in both directions. I got these custom fit and that really makes a big difference in how your clubs perform. I have dropped at least 5 strokes on my handicap and its still falling. The gunmetal irons are great they frame the ball really nicely. Customer Service none Similar Products Used: Hogans(they were ok didnt like offset),titleist(the feel sucked on both 990's and the 990Bs)TM 300s(they felt like hittin rocks the feel sucked worse than the titleist)Mizunos (sweet but i need more forgivness) |

These irons are great...they are soft with great feedback. The no offset is beautiful and makes you feel confident and sets up nice. The strong lofts are great to but if you dont have some kind of gap or dual wedge it can make things interesting...but still a beautiful set of irons Similar Products Used: None |
