Great looking irons. From address, they look almost exactly like blades. Perfect amount of offset. I find too much offset makes an iron look too clunky. I have to admit though, these aren't the easiest irons to hit. Hit it even slightly off centre and you will be short of the green. But this is tempered by the great feel you get. In some of the game improvement irons I have tried, you can't chip with the short irons cause you have no feel from them. With the ta-3's, chips from 7, 8, 9, pw feel like those of a forged muscleback wedge. Plenty of spin as well. Great club if you want feedback and looks and superb accuracy. Not a great club if you want forgiveness. I love it though.

Customer Service

I love Cleveland equipment, but I'm sorry to say that their customer service is second rate. Most of their e-mails are one liners and bordering on brisk. Not very professional. But as long as they keep their prices lower than Callaway, and Titleist, I guess I can live with it.

I've had these clubs for 2 years now and still can't find a replacement. If you are looking to work the ball left to right, right to left, punch it low or even a soft cut these are the clubs for you. These clubs are very forgiving and very precise. Once you've hit a forged club, you'll never go back. They are solid of the face and go exactly where you want them to. You won't be sorry.

This clubs looks really nice, but be aware it isn't just look. They are heavier than my old irons (mizuno Comp EZ) which lower my swing speed, causing me less distance. They are unforgiving. The workability is fine. The feeling is great, if I hit it in the sweetspot, if I miss it just a little bit, it is awful (this didn't happen with my old set). I'm getting ready of this irons, I did not like them at all. I'm going for something that give me my distance back, probably the Callaway X16 pro.

Customer Service

Good customer service. I contacted them for an inquiry about the loft of the irons (some of the irons did not match the lofts showed in the webpage), they told me that I can send them back for free to get them fix, but I decided to go to GolfSmith to save some time

I have owned these clubs for 1.5 years now and simply love them. This is my first set of forged irons and I will never go back to cast. ( I had lynx black cats before) They are so accurate and the feedback from poor swings is valuable. I chose the chrome, and they are still looking like a 9/10 after about 80 rounds. The stock shaft( dynamic golf) is the industry standard and has been great for me. My distance is a little shorter with these clubs, but the feel more than makes up for it. Easy to align at address due to lack of offset. Slight perimeter weighting which helps make solid contact. I love these clubs!

I changed my mizuno pro2s for the ta3s because i was having shaft problems with the mizuno( they were snapping) due to internal rust and although mizuno offered to re-shaft the pro 2s i was aware that it would take a while so i bit the bullet and bought the ta3s. i am pleased with them as they are nice and heavy and you can feel the head all through your swing. also they give you a feeling that you dont have to take a mad lunge at the ball to get it where it wants to go. back spin is phenominal unfortunately it is costing me a fortune in golf balls as the strata, nike and hogan apex tour i have used are cut to ribbons after 3/4 holes. if you use a hard cheap ball they actually remove the complete layer of paint where the ball is on the club. i am going to try pro v1s when they become available as they cannot be got for love nor money around dublin at the moment.

Customer Service

i sent an email about the ball problem to cleveland a few days ago looking for guidance, so far no reply.

Overall, I've been very happy with these clubs. I bought them 2 1/2 years ago when they first came out. I had them fitted with rifle 6.0 shafts +.5 inch to suit my build and swing speed. I am 6'2'' and swing fairly slowly for a 4 h'cap. I carry around 190 yards from a 5 iron. These are not a "forgiving" set of clubs, but the feel is very smooth and rewarding for centre shots. I am able to work them left and right pretty well as they are quite small and have no offset. The only negative I would offer is that they are not all that durable. (Mind you, this was my first set of forged irons.) I have played a lot of golf with them and they are due for replacement. The hitting area on the faces has worn down through the chrome and they are starting to appear a little worse for wear. I take good care of them and keep club-glove covers on them at all times. My previous set were Tommy Armour 855s cast clubs. The TA-3s are much sweeter playing and better looking, but not as durable.

This proshop has demo sets you can rent for two days for 10 bucks, so I tried everything else out there when replacing my Cobras. From the first round I knew they were it. Biggest selling point was the ease in aligning to the target, something hard to do with offset clubs. 5-PW will stick to almost any green, while long irons will almost definitley get in the air. Pros say these are for single digit handicappers but TA3s are more than forgiving enough for those who shoot in the 80s. Distance is not an issue for me, although distance consitancy is and the TA3s are excellent. They are as forgiving as you would want a club to be, yet still give great feedback on mis-hits. Great looks (I chose chrome) phenominal set up and consistent shots- isn't that what a perfect club should be? And 500-600 for a set of these is still only half the cost of the runner up- DCI 990s. Go buy a set or rent a demo- you will love them. Also try Cleveland wedges- there is a difference.

Customer Service

No problems so far- did get free Cleveland stand bag with irons ($200)

I found these clubs to have a solid feel at address. They feel on the heavier side but yet swing effortlessly and long. Six irons 180 yards with range balls is the norm. The workability is there, there's no offset to hinder you. the only thing is that the gunmetal tarnishes with time.

Solid clubs. Don't let the low price fool you, these are first quality clubs. After using them for about 2 months now, I would have paid twice as much for them. The forged feel is great on solid shots, and the cavity back saves you on mis-hits. Just be warned that these lofts are strong, for me one more club longer than my previous sets. You'll have to do some experimenting at first to see what wedge you need to get from the PW to your SW. I added a 52 and it's worked out great.
