What can I say...I have played everything on the market from Nike CCi Forged to Ping S58 to Callaway X Forged to TaylorMade TP and MB to yadda yadda yadda. I keep going back to my 10 year old Maxfli A10 Irons. Just bought 2 more sets on EBAY...will play them forever. Best irons I have ever played. Dropped the Nike CCi's(garbage) about 4 weeks ago and first round back shot a 67 with the Maxfli's. Awesome Awesome irons.

UNBELIEVEABLE!
After the irons been discontinued for all these years and people are still raving about them. Go figures!
Well, I am a believer and I bought myself 2 sets and planning to play with them for the rest of my life. I can't say much more then whatever that has been said, except buy them if you ever you see one up for sale. Like previous reviews states, these are not improvement irons, but if you're in the low 90s, you will appreciate them.
I LOVE THESE IRONS!

If i had £4O0 to spend again on a quality set of irons i'd buy em again no question. I've played with ping and titleist. But the feel of these clubs are excellent especially 8 through to wedges. Were used on tour by Woosey and Jay Haas. The forged nickel/chrome gives you unbelievable workability and distance control.I sometimes have a crazy idea to buy a new set of whats on the market at the moment, but most sets i try (although some are realy good)don't feel value for money compared to what i've already got.
I've had them from new around 4/5 years and come down from 15 to 9 not all down to clubs but they helped me stay there.Great looking clubs also.Only slight negative is the softness of metal, i,ve always used headcovers so mine are still in great condition apart from s/w marked up from bunkers. Set went on Ebay recently for £75 UNBELIEVABLE!! Absolute bargain. If you see a set in good condition and are shooting mid 80's do yourself a favour, snap em up.

I purchased 3 sets of these three years ago based on the reviews on this site. I was planning on selling them on ebay and decided to play them today.

I have decided to keep them. These are excellent clubs. Unlike quite a few other reviewers, I find these clubs a little shorter than my previous set (MacGregor M565s). I believe this is probably due to the fact that all club makers are now making irons with 45 degree pitching wedges (really a nine iron).

I believe these clubs are best for individuals that shoot in the mid-80s or below. I really like the feel of the 8-PW with solid backs. There are great for approach shots, and the balls drop and stop on the greens. The 7 iron is in between - while the 3-6 are cavity backs (kind of).

These irons are not player improvement clubs. If you are a solid ball striker, I doubt you will find better clubs anywhere.

I found I could work the ball either way, and when hit normally I get a draw. The 3-4 irons are definitely "hitable", but I will probably take them out of the bag and go with a couple Hogan CFT hybrids. I am going to be 48 and need the ability to generate a little more distance.

This was just my fourth round this year, and I it was like throwing darts at the end. I would generally agree that the low irons have high trajectories, whild the 9-W have lower trajectories. I hit all par 3s in regulation.

I highly reccomend these clubs to anyone shooting around 85. Even if you shoot 90, and are willing to invest time, I believe these clubs will take you lower than anything out there.

I would try to get a set on ebay

I've been using these irons for a few years now and they are awesome. My friends tease me becasue I use the rubber head covers on my irons, but it is becasue I want to keep them forever and don't want them all banged up. I traded in a set of Titleists for these on a whim and what a good decision it was. I also bought a brand new 2 iron off ebay, not that I'll ever be able to hit it well but I only paid 20 bucks for it new and it finishes off the set.

I have quite a few sets of Irons. I am what you would call an avid golfer... meaning I am at the golf course anywhere from 4-5 days a week either playing or working on my game at the range.

I read reviews on these irons on here and thought why not give them a try? Well, I'm glad I did. These irons are fantastic. They are as soft as any forged iron I've ever played and they offer great forgiveness and playability at the same time.

The nickel plating offers great feedback on shots and the cavity back in the 7 iron and under give you the forgiveness we all sometimes need. Crisp clean shots feel fantastic and even the mis-hits go almost straight and only lose minimal distance.

The real joy in these clubs are the muscle back 8I - PW. These bad boys are pin-seekers to the nth degree. You want to hit a high fade in, these irons can do it. You want to hit a low punch, these irons can do it. You want to hit a draw, these irons can do it.

Easily one of the best irons I've ever hit and I've hit a ton of them. You can find them on eBay for around $125 - $150 and my advice is to jump on that bargain.

I'm looking for a back-up set just to keep around in case they get so scarce you can't find them.

If you want the specs on these clubs, you'll have to contact TaylorMade.

I have had these for 2 years and LOVE them. I am going to have to find another set to put in the garage for when they are wore out. I have Rifle 6.5s and love the trajectory I get with this combo. I have played golf for 25 years and never loved any clubs more than I do these.

When you look at what TM is offering nowadays and you start wondering why the hell they don't manufacture the A10 again.
Then you look at the price of nickel, well, it gone up like 4-5 times in 5 years and you can buy an used set for about $200 - absolute bargain.
I bought a mint set in ebay last year knowingly I may never see irons made with nickel/multilayer chrome again so I went for it and won.
Still the best iron set for the money. Only Japanese premium irons can match the A10 for feel and accuracy but you're talking $900 for 6 sticks - yeah, they want your money alright.
I reshafted them with NSPro 1150 regular flex and the combination work extremely well for me. The facts are that the A10 Tour Limited and the Australian Blade will go down in history as the best irons ever produced by Maxfli (not TM).

Customer Service

TM killed the company already and the only problem I got is that where to find an used set of A10. TM must have a Maxfli museum somewhere inside the staff toilet.

Picked up a set of A-10's after reading reviews here. I have been playing Ping Eye2+ for over 6 years. A great club. The A-10's are even sweeter. Lofts are a little stronger. Short irons and mid irons are excellent. Long irons are easier to hit than you would think. Long, straight and sweet sound. I'll keep my Pings as a backup. Will be playing these Maxflis for awhile.
