Have went through a number of iron sets the past few years. Titleist, MacGregor,
Callaway and just couldn't find what I wanted. Liked the thin top line but wanted some forgiveness if not quite on the sweet spot. I have found the irons!!
Heard about combo irons and wanted to check them out and went to this website.
Looked at Nike, etc and found out about the A10's. Did some more research and bought a set on ebay for $200 in really nice shape. The progressive cavity back on the longer irons really help and the blade look on the shorter irons gives me the best of both worlds. Could never hit a 4 iron before and is now one of my favorite clubs. The 7-pw really look and feel nice and are 5-10 yards longer than my previous clubs. My confidence in the 4-6 irons are lights out and after a months use have shot under par a couple of times. They look nice and again, feel great. If you are looking for a thinner top line with forgiveness if you miss the sweet spot a little, there is no better club!

Just found this link and wanted to tell people that these irons are unequalled !!
I play off 5 and in an attempt to go lower decided to waste a lot of money on Titleist 735s believing they were a better iron. Not surprisingly im back with the A10 s and shooting the odd 70 as with the 735s was usually a couple over handicap. Anyone reading this go with the A10 as a better feel club you will not find!!! Wish id not wasted my money ,think ill just stay with titleist for my balls, FOR ALL U DIS-BELIEVERS,Im now NOT one!!lol!!!

after I got these irons I started hitting my irons over 10 yards further. Also i had gained more spin so I could stop it next to the pin.

Wrote a glowing A10 review on this site a couple of years ago, but for some reason or another started playing Hogan Apex Edge Pros last year. Recently lost a Hogan iron and grabbed the A10's out of the closet until I could come up with a replacement. Immediately started stinging the ball like I haven't been for waaay too long. They just feel right. Soft but solid, and extremely accurate. Really good out of the rough. I got caught up in always looking for something better even though I was already happy. Stupid.

Awesome set of irons, I love them, I brought 1 set with shafts and all, and then brought another set of heads for when these ones wear out in a couple years time. I love them I rate these 5/5 awesome, if you find them buy them.

Im not a great golfer but occasionally hit in the low 40's. Was using Cobra CXI's for many years but shafts were way too light. Switched to Titleist OS Game Improvement club that was terrible and was too large of a head to look at. Found these A10's last summer (2005) late in the game used but in near perfect condition. At setup they look clean and old-school with a thin topline and no offset. They hit like butter when you strike good and let you know when you didn't. Like a couple other reviews said theough, these are the first irons that Ive had that I actually feel like I have consistent accuracy and control. I should have given up GImp irons years ago because these make me make better shots. This is also the first set of irons I have beenable to hit the 2 and 3 irons. Distance is great, 7 iron out to 170-175 and when you get on one just right the ball goes forever. Awesome clubs get them if you can.

I have used the same irons for 5-6 years, Titleist 981's. Good irons. But decided to make a change and did not want to pay $$$ for new irons. After checking the reviews, I wanted to give the A-10's a try. The lofts of the A-10's are slightly stronger giving a more boring flight, along with DG R300 shafts. If you are fortunate enough to find a set of the A-10's, I would highly recommend them. Not necessarily forgiving clubs, but when you hit them crisp, the shot is dead on.

Customer Service

Taylor-made now owns Maxfli. I was able to get the loft/lie info from them.

I have to agree with previous reviewers that these irons are simply great. I have been through multiple sets since dumping my old Lynx Parallax irons 4 years ago including Maxfli Revolutions, Macgregor 1025C, Ping I3 Blades and Taylor RAC LT's. The best of these four where the RAC LT's, but despite the "low trajectory" naming I found that these irons produced a very high and uninspiring ball flight and the feeling was very muted. The A10's provide a very solid, crisp feel and a penetrating ball flight. The Nickel-Chrome heads are soft and provide responsive feedback. I had Rifle 6.0's in the RAC's not sure if the were right for me, I am very happy with the TT DGS300 shafts. I found that like many others who have posted here that I was hitting these clubs longer then my old irons. Taylor Made customer service provided the spec sheet for the A10's and I was not surprised to find that the lofts were stronger then tbe other sets I had been playing. I took them to a local club builder and had 1-2 degrees of loft added to the set, distances are more traditional now and I feel like it has made the 8 and 9 iron blades easier to handle. I purchased these off E-bay and only got the 3-9 irons, so I matched them up with a Cleveland Gun Metal 47 degree 588 wedge, which gaps the set nicely and is a fantastic wedge. The A10's are definitely not a game improvement club but they are also not as hard to hit as most forged blades. All in all I would highly recommend these clubs. I see that Maxfli has recently released a new line of irons, I can only hope that they will re-issue a version of these, the heads are soft and they will not last forever!

Customer Service

Taylor Made was very helpful in providing the spec information.

Best irons I've ever played... I'm glad I give this a try and it will stay in my bag for as long as the groove will hold. Truely exceptional set of irons.
