Up until time of purchase I was struggling with my game (Callaway BB04's) and was hitting in the mid 90's with the occasional low 90/high 80 round. On my first visit to a long course and playing from back tees. I shot my best round ever (85). The Irons have a lovely soft feel from them and give you confidence knowing where its going to go when standing over the ball. I would recommend these clubs to anyone looking for game improvement irons.

After a ton of research about irons, and deciding from previous play that I wanted to stick with forged irons I decided on these. I got the 3I since I hit it better than hybrids through the PW. These clubs increased my distances by 20 yards per club forcing me to invest in set of wedges to use from 120yds in to the green.

These clubs feel fantastic and my swing seems to just flow now. These were worth every penny. Now if I could only find a fairway wood I could hit and master putting I could shoot in the 70s.

WOW! I am one lucky individual to have come across these babies. Where have these irons been all my life. My last set were the Ping Eye 2 irons. Great classic set but Mizu is truely the Bentley of irons. Amazing feel from 3 iron all the way down to wedge. These irons do what u want them to do and help you out on mis-hits. I have never dared hit a 4 iron in a round (much less a 3 iron) but these clubs were so enjoyable and confidence inducing that I left the hybrids in the bag on the par 5's. First time out with these gems and I don't think I have ever smiled more during 18 holes.

I.Love.Um! i use to use taylor made r7 draw irons but they started to wear and i was in need of a new set. i only recently got into mizuno when i bought the mx 700 hybrid and 3 wood, which are both awesome!, i am lucky enough to have the national Mizuno fitting centre a few miles from me so i went for a fitting and they recomended these. tryed them out on the course and the height, and spin i got was awesome. distance was around the same but the r7's were alot more powrful. i reccomend these alot, great buy, shame they're finishing soon

Had my eye on these irons for a year or so, but took the plunge after the price dropped $200 because they are being discontinued. They are replacing my Big Bertha 2004 irons and they're a marked improvement in just about every way. The length is about the same, as is the forgiveness with off centre shots, but the feel is markedly better, particularly with the scoring irons. I get MUCH more height with all the irons and they hold the greens better than the Callaways.

Was Using Adams hybrid A3 iron set and was struggling with fairway shots until I got fitted at Golftec. The first choice of computer analysis showed Mizuno MX200 to be best irons for my swings. Bought #6 thru PW to specs recommended, along with best choice of hybrid being Adams A7OS #4 & #5. For years have had trouble from the fairways and was looking for the right "arrows" but was struggling in high 80's and low 90's for a year.
First round with new sticks shot 91 (slope 132). Went to the range a couple of times then two weeks later second round at a different course shot 83 (slope 130). One week after that, (actually two days previous to this writing), at another course shot 82 (slope 130). What has changed was a small amount of increased difference in length from precious irons, which is always a nice bonus, a good amount of difference in length with the new Adams hybrids, even mis-hits feel good, but most important was straighter shots where previous irons had a tendency to go left, with almost no distance loss even with thin hits because the irons still produced great elevation and good stopping on greens. When hit "sweet" they added about 7 yards. My goal is to shoot 80 and I am very excited that I can see that happening in the near future. Bottom line is I can highly recommend two things... get fitted for your clubs and definitely try the Mizuno MX200 irons, and if you're like me and can't hit the longer irons check yourself out on the Adams A7OS hybrids. FYI: I'm 68 years old with fairly good flexibility and play about once a week if I can. Average distance from the tee 245-260. Average 7 iron 150-155. Hope that helps anyone thinking about some new "arrows".

These are b*tchin' irons!!! Like many of you, after reading all the reviews on this site I got confused, because every iron and driver on here is "the best". Everyone has a different swing, it's merely a matter of what looks good to YOUR eye at address. If you feel comfortable over the ball, you'll most likely make a good swing with good results.

To get a perspective, I have owned and/or demoed the following irons before concluding that MX200's are the best irons for me:

Cobra FP, Cleveland gold, TM R7 tp, Hogan Apex Edge, Exotics CNC forged, Callaway X, Callaway X22, Ping i15, Adams a7, Macgregor m85 Tourney, Titleist AP2, Titleist AP1-710.

All of these irons are good, during many rounds of golf I have hit a great shot with every single one of these iron sets. With a good lie, and a good look, I could hit any one of these sets' 9 irons a few feet from the pin. However, none felt like they were 100% "me". Until I came upon these MX-200's, they just have this beautiful feel you get from a forged iron, it's so amazing and pure and buttery and great. Yet these irons are also forgiving enough for most players. (beginners are probably going to still need to look for a wider soled, super game improvement iron) Distance is fine, no better, no worse then most leading iron brands, but with irons, that's usually not the most important factor.

YOU might find some other irons better, My best golfing buddy that I play with 3 times a week loves his Callaway's, another buddy swears by his Bridgestones, and another loves his Titleist's. But at the end of the day, we all play about the same number. For me the MX200's are the winner! It's the first time in a while that I dont "look" at other iron sets when I walk into a golf shop. Or get the urge to hit a new cool iron set in the simulator. Now I just check out the new hybrids and wedges.

My other favorite irons in order from best to worst are, new 2010 Macgregor m85 Tourney, Titleist AP1 710's, Ping i15's, Cleveland golds......

Try every iron set out there before you buy, eventually you will find your MX200's. Good luck in your hunt for your new irons.

I bought the MX-200's after playing the Calloway X-18 irons for about four years. Unlike with the Calloway's, I got professionally fitted which definitely makes a difference- the analysis of my swing and clubs indicated that the lie was a little too flat, explaining why so many of my shots pushed left (I am left-handed) even on what felt like a perfect swing.

I have played the 200's for about four rounds now and absolutely love them. I have never hit a straighter or more consistent ball- particularly with my mid-irons 6-8. I got them adjusted +2 degrees on the lie (Mizuno is known to be a flatter club and I have a very upright swing) and paired them with the KBS FST shafts-stiff flex. Amazing combination. Despite the club weight being notably heavier than my X-18's, the balance is perfect and I have the confidence to release fully. The ball flight is medium-high; very similar to the X-18 but more consistent, and a bit further.

I view the Calloway irons as excellent clubs, and suspect I would have played much better with them had I been fitted. But I cannot say enough about the feel of these Mizuno irons- great clubs. And they are gorgeous as well.

i bought mp200s last year, but after custom fitting and paying for them, found i just could not hit them out of the sweet spot, desparate, i went back to my old ping zings, last night i thought i must get use to them and went back down the range, after hitting a couple of poor shots, the guy next to me said move the ball position, i could not believe it, great ball flight, crunching the ball, played 9 this morning, went round in 1 over, it seemns to me that when poor shots creep in, it really is just a simple thing of maybe stance, grip etc, long may it last!

After reading hundreds of reviews on the best iron set (and got confused), I finally decided to buy the Mizuno MX200. After start playing golf just last year, I still shot in the 100s, and sometime I got in the 90s. Last March 2010, I bought the MX200 with regular steel shaft. After trying them in the driving range, I put this masterpiece to the test. I felt so confident using the MX200. Those reviews about the MX200 were all accurate. Simply to say, the MX 200 has gread feeling and at the sametime forgiveness. After 4 games over two week periods of playing with the MX200, my score improved to upper 80s /90 with ease. The feeling and forgiveness of Mizuno MX200 is unbelievable. So for those high handicapers who want to better improve your game, you should seriously consider Mizuno MX200. Its just perfect for me (after using the TM Burner before) now I can score constantly in the mid to high 80s (just after 2 months using it). I am looking forward to scoring to low 80s and this club still can do it for me. Believe it or not, I do believe it ! Thanks Mizuno.
