Mizuno MX-23 Irons

Mizuno MX-23 Irons

DESCRIPTION

The MX-23 is the most forgiving iron available. Mizuno engineers produced the MX-23TM to have an even lower, deeper center of gravity and larger sweet area.

Been playing these irons for approx. two months and have to say they are sweet. Had them custom fit with TX-90 reg. flex shafts. They are easy to hit, long and provide good feedback. Switched from G2 irons which are ok, but don't have the solid feel of a forged club. The MX-23 is a good choice for someone who wants to step up from a game-improvement type iron, but is not quite ready for blades. Infact after you hit these irons you may just forget about blades.

Very Disappointed. Bought this set with high hopes since using Mizuno TP9's for years. Didn't like the slight offset of the longer irons and the shorter irons seemed too big and cumbersome, especially the PW. Promoted as different to the MX20 but on closer inspection, almost identical. The sole seemed too broad and hit a lot of fat shots. Overall OK but sold them for something else.

I tried everything at the range & happened on these. I was suprised when they were 10 yards further than anything else & were workable. I normally hit a big draw, but I would lose 15 yards trying to cut it with my old irons. I've been playing these for a couple of weeks now & have picked up a high cut that is a lot easier to control. I had my old Top Flite Tours for 9 years & they served me well as I was a beginner. These new irons suit me a lot better now, & they were about the same as I paid for my old irons. I got them off ebay for $440 NIB.

I hope I don't need it.

Great clubs. Bought mine in Feb this year and have only had 2 rounds in the 80's both right after I bought them. I was playing the Hogan Apex Plus prior to purchasing these irons. I see no need to purchase another set as long as I am able to play golf. Great feel and awesome distance and accuracy.

Have had these for about a year now and they're awesome sticks. I'm still trying to be more consistent but when you hit these right, the feel is unbelieveable. they're also pretty forgiving. The MP-Series wedges are also excellent.

Customer Service

Took a while for Golfsmith to get them back from Mizuno since they're custom fit but well worth the wait.

Awesome irons, when you get used to how far they travel. At least one club further than Ping blades.

I have only been playing for the last 2 years, and have been using Callaway X-16 for most of that time. Recently I have been itching to get a new set of irons and have tried pretty much every iron currently on sale. The 23's just felt the best to me...awesome. Long and straight and forged to boot.

Mizunos mx-23 are just great irons. Long and forgiving with enormous feedback. However if you have a swing with little upperbody rotation these are not the clubs to go. Otherwise these iron will bring you closer to golfers heaven. Just make sure to really take care of them, wipe off any moisture and dirt, otherwise they will rust. But these clubs are defintely worth the needed attention.

Bought the Mizuno MX23's after extensive comparing with the Ping G2's. The G2's are definitely straighter but more expensive and too light. The MX23's have a better feel and much better price. I did not like the graphite shaft in either MX23 or G2 ... less control. I am still getting used to the heft of the MX23 as fatigue is a factor near the end of the round. The MX23's are best when you don't try to force things and hit too hard.It was a tough call over the G2 but I also saved a lot of money.

THE BEST EVER. You don't need to know why I think that way, just look at my usual score posting. BUY THEM, do yourself a favor before you tee of tomorrow. This is your sign from heaven to buy these clubs.
