Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II Irons

Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II Irons

DESCRIPTION

The Pro-II is ideal for golfers who are looking for the traditional look and feel of a muscle back blade with the forgiveness offered by a cavity back design. Mizuno has taken the playability of the T-Zoid Pro and added more feel and control.

I bought these irons used from Edwin Watts thinking that my game was ready for a forged, blade style club. Boy was I wrong !! While in college I had plenty of time to play and had a single digit handicap that flirted with scratch. A dozen years later I am lucky to play once a week and these clubs are not for me. The feel when hit well is amazing. The feel when hit away from the sweet spot is horrible and the ball flight is even worse. The sole on these clubs is very thin and digs quite a bit if a shot is hit marginally fat. I guess overall I would say that the Pro II is a great club for the low handicappers of the world, but if you honestly play to a 12 or higher, look for a more forgiving / game improvement species. By the way, I also play a Mizuno Blue Rage T-Zoid driver (9 degree, stiff graphite shaft) and LOVE IT.

Customer Service

These clubs are extremely well built and customer service was never needed.

Now that I have played these for a year (about 50 rounds), I can offer up a valid review. When I first shopped for a Muzino iron it was between the pro ll's and the mp33's. After some time on the range, I felt that the proll's were more forgiving, just as accurate and nearly the same feedback. These pro ll clubs are great. I still get that anxious feeling before every shot no matter what club I'm swinging. If you like that crisp solid contact feel, than these are the clubs for you. Take some time and work the clubs, you won't be disappointed.

Customer Service

I have used Mizuno customer service for a bag and putter issue and they responded promptly (within a week).

Butter. A friend once told me, "I'll never hit another iron besides Mizuno." I didn't think much of it at the time, but when I started looking for something to replace my Callaway knockoffs(cavity back oversize), I remembered what he said. He had the Pro, so I started looking at Mizuno and found the Pro II. The newer models were already out, so I got these for 300 bucks. With my old irons, I always aimed for the green. Now I aim for the pin. I still don't have the skill to put it close every time, but I'm hitting a lot more greens thanks to these irons. As long as I play golf, my iron of choice will ALWAYS be Mizuno.

Customer Service

Now, if only Mizuno could make a putter that would stop my tons of 3 putts.

By far the best forged blade style iron I have ever hit, and believe me I have hit them all. I can work the ball from 230 yards out to 100 yards out and wow talk about putting action on the ball, these irons will spin it off the green.

Bought these in the Jan 2002 sales and the great looks attracted me initially. After months of using them I still adore playing with these clubs. The construction is second to none and with care, my irons still look as good as when I bought them. However, I do wash them after every round and being forged steel, coat them in WD40 to ensure premature ageing and rusting doesn't occur. For the future, I'm saddened that this club is now no longer made being replaced by the MP30 am attractive club but not them same as the ProII

This is my first cavity back club and it is beautiful. It supremely fulfills the cliche of having the feel of a blade with the forgiveness of a cavity back. I can feel my bad shot but don't get as punished for them. And they have played long for me.

I bought these because they looked great and on the strength of the 7-iron. Out of the middle they're great. Anywhere else, forget it. You need to be honest about your ability when buying these (I wasn't). I lost all confidence and it took the fun out of golf. I changed after 6 months to Taylormade 200s and I'm now down to 13.5. Clubs are also v.soft so mark really easily, even the heads clacking together in your bag (I even have a mizuno bag) marks them and as for stones... Also, I'd agree that middled shots feel nice, but my new taylormades hardly feel much worse and are soooo much more forgiving.

These irons are great. Forged clubs have made the difference. Mine are 1" over standard and 3 degrees upright. I have hit them numerous times and I now find it hard to hit a bad shot. Sweet spot is easy to locate again and again. I highly recommend these clubs to anyone that has a sense of feeling in the shots they hit.

Im currently playing the Cleveland TA7s. I must admit to being a bit of a brand snob However Ive read a lot of reviews concerning Mizuno irons in general so when i went into a shop the other day i made a point of swinging a few of these clubs and ive got to say these are some very sweet feeling clubs nice to look at address nice weight easy to allign. I will definitely be looking at these clubs when it comes time to replace my TA7s for sure

Have my Pro ll's for over 6 months now and I couldnt be happier with them. There is no real comparison between the feel of a forged club and a cast. These are not the most forgiving clubs ever, but then again they are not designed for the purpose. They are longer than average, feel so sweet and are very workable. I got mine custom fit also which I think made a difference. Highly recommended for single figure golfers.
