Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II Irons

Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II Irons

DESCRIPTION

The Pro-II is ideal for golfers who are looking for the traditional look and feel of a muscle back blade with the forgiveness offered by a cavity back design. Mizuno has taken the playability of the T-Zoid Pro and added more feel and control.

I have only had these clubs a few days but i already love them. They felt right soon as i picked them up. They have quite a heavy head, which i like, and i think it make the swing easier. The 5-SW are very easy to hit, and quite forgiving, but the 3&4 or a bit less forgiving than i would like. All together they are a very nice set of clubs.

Well what can I say I think i got a brillant deal...Just got them a few weeks ago and I'm really happy with them.I hit a few other clubs when i was trying to decide but there was something about the mizuno pro 11's that made me get them.I think it was the fact that they looked like clubs that really strike the ball and boy was I right. When you catch the ball on the spot and you start getting use to hitting the mizuno's you won't want anything else...If I could go back and had the choice to get a diffrent set of clubs i wouldn't...Brillant job mizuno!!!!

Let me start off by stating that I am a true 12 handicap (i.e. I count every stroke). I say that because if you are reading this you are probably wondering if you can "hit" a forged club--you can. I was a little worried about the jump from my Ping i3's to these. But they are very forgiving. They are also very solid. The feel of these clubs is a little different from the Pings or other cast clubs. A ball struck solid will feel sweet, more so than the i3's. I also love the head size and the complete lack of off-set. Distances are nearly identical to my old clubs. I am not a big "ball-worker" other than trying my best to hit it straight so I cannot comment on this aspect. These are the first clubs I have had with the S300 shafts, I find no difference between these and the Z-Z65's. Ball flight is identical. I do like the look of these clubs far better. In short, if you are looking for a club with minimal offset and wanting to try forged these should work great for you. One final thing. Please ensure that you pay attention to the lie angles. To get a Ping Black you need between 1*-2* upright in the Mizuno Pro II. By way of example: the "Black" dot Ping i3 4 iron has a 60* lie, a standard Pro II 4 iron is 58.5*, about 1.5* flatter. Because of this if you are a Black dot in Ping you may want to get the Mizuno Pro II's at 2* upright to closely match the Ping Black. Since they are closing them out you can get a great deal right now. I got mine on ebay, 2* upright with S300 for about $330.00.

i have mine about a year now. lovely club sweet as can be .unfortunately i hit a six iron yesterday and the shaft snapped. on bringing it to nevada bobs i was informed that it will take a while to get the shaft replaced as mizuno are not the best at service. but much more importantly i was shown what caused the break. it appears that there is stuff called sensacore( im not sure of the spelling) in the shaft which is there to deaden the shock from impact but this stuff is like cotton wool and soaks up any moisture or even water that gets into the shaft through the top and bingo, internal rust in one spot which causes a weakness that you cannot see from the outside. i am now afraid to hit any of my irons and when i do i expect to see it flying down the fairway with the ball. i am sorry mizuno but this is a major flaw in an expensive club and as soon as i get my six iron back they are on their bike.

WOW!!! Workablity,Low tregectory, and just the right amount of spin!!!No Tax or shiping!!! GREAT club, Once u hit Mizuno you will never go back!!! I played 36 today!!! 1st time ever these clubs it felt so good they made me go back for 2nd's. I realized on my 1st hit with the iron that these were the clubs!!! the only cons are I lose 5-7 yards of distance on normal hits (haven't really found the sweet spot) and and when u prue it it goes a half a club longer!!!! but once i find that sweet spot... you know the rest!!! Played Cobra KC2 before these there is no comparison!!!! plus I think I lose this yardage because corba makes their clubs 2 degrees more upright!!! but nothing can change my mind!!!! Mizuno is the # 1 club in Golf!!

I decided that it was time to change my 8 year old DCI's. I had always wanted a set of Mizunos, I think they are the best irons on the market. So I ended up buying the pro II's from an auction site. They came with rifle (stiff) shafts. These irons are excellent all round. They look great, they feel just right at setup and they feel great at impact (even on slightly off-center hits. I thought that they would be unforgiving as they are muscleback blades, but they actually are fairly forgiving. I also found that I got more distance with them, and a much lower ball flight, which is good for me as I hit the ball very high. Also, I am spinning the ball a lot more with these. These are a top quality set of irons, probably suited to players with handicaps of 12 or under.

Purchased this near new set on a trip to the US and was extremely impressed. Having only used three sets since playing golf for the last 15 years this was definately a change to the status quo. While these clubs retain there blade like appearance at address the semi cavity back feature works wonders on slight heel/toe hits that still produce amazing control and accuracy. The lie angles on a standard set are a little concern as Mizuno has a philosophy of producing flatter lie angles than the industry standard (5ir 59deg compared to standard 61deg). With these adjustments made I believe the previous owner (and many others out there) would still be using a set such as these. One thing I must comment on as I read through countless reviews on your website is the lack of comment on probably the most important component in a golf club, the shaft. Its no wonder so many people shooting in the 70's, 80's and 90's have used many sets of irons, poor choice of shafts no doubt the most common fault. I see it so many times at my local club guys using shafts too stiff that I would not even use. If you are serious about improving your game take a look at something other than True Temper Dynamic Gold. Royal Precision Project X Rifle is a far superior shaft both in performance and technology. Since putting Project X 5.5's in my irons I have been able to improve both ball striking and GIR considerably. An investment I highly recommend!

A great club!! Set-up is beautiful and the feel is undescribable. I bought these about two month ago and have absolutely loved playing them. Being able to work the ball on command surpasses my pervious set.Accuracy is very good and forgiveness is surprisingly good. My only complaint would be the distance lost on those not so perfect hits (about 10-20yds.) Slightly more than my previous 762's Otherwise, one of the best deals out there. Go Mizuno!

These irons are magnificent...although I only tried them on the range, I was amazed by their workability. As forgiving as any of its class...an overall good club.

Just tried these out on the range and will certainly go ahead and get them. I tried them against the MP-33's, Steelhead pro series, Titleist 762, and 2 sorts of Macgregor irons and these were the best for feel (except the MP-33's), workability and control. They set up to the ball beautifully with no offset and give a very powerful flight. They felt very similar to the MP-33's but offered more consistent distance due to mis-hits being less severely punished. I would recommend these irons for anyone who wants a set of quality irons which they can work the ball with and offer blade like feel, but also give some forgiveness for bad swing days. I was playing with a set of Fatshaft 2's and only managed a personal best of 86 with them. Now, I should have enough confidence in myself to trust that the ball's gonna go where i want it to go, and make it into the 80's on a more regular basis.
